In this video, Dr. Justin Marchegiani and Dr. Jaban Moore discuss the importance of addressing trauma in clients by dealing with their nervous systems. The first step Dr. Jaban recommends is getting the client into a safe environment and doing anti-inflammatory activities. Next, they suggest using neurofeedback or vagus nerve retraining to help clients who have become sensitive or anxious due to trauma. After that, he means addressing parasites, bacteria, microplasma, mold, metal, and radioactive elements in clients.
They explain the difference between biofeedback and neurofeedback and how they can be used to test and treat clients. They use disentrainment neurofeedback to open up the amygdala, a part of the brain that usually protects individuals from traumatic situations. Dr. Moore suggests using neurofeedback clinics in the area or working with someone with a neurofeedback machine to do tests. They also use telemedicine for people who live far away or don't have access to testing resources.

In this video, Dr. Justin discusses how stress hormones like cortisol can affect the conversion of T4 (Thyroxine) to T3 (Triiodothyronine) in the body and how this can impact thyroid function. Cortisol is an anti-inflammatory stress hormone used to manage inflammation caused by stress. However, chronic high or low levels of cortisol can also affect the conversion of T4 to T3, as the body does not want to increase metabolism when stressed or inflamed. Additionally, gut health and nutrient absorption are critical factors in thyroid function, as specific gut issues like SIBO and dysbiosis can impact the assimilation of necessary nutrients.
Dr. Justin emphasizes the importance of taking a comprehensive approach to understanding thyroid function. Many conventional doctors may need help understanding underlying issues because they only focus on the thyroid itself rather than looking at the whole body. Functional medicine takes a more holistic approach to understand the body's overall function and aims to catch problems early by addressing underlying systems and imbalances. By using more sensitive metrics for labs, functional medicine doctors can identify deviations from the operating range earlier, preventing patients from getting sicker and having more problems. Therefore, when dealing with thyroid issues, it is essential to look at the big picture and understand how different systems in the body interact.

Dr. Justin discusses the impact of mold exposure on the body, which can lead to fatigue, cognitive issues, mood problems, and brain fog. It is crucial to identify whether mold exposure is a past or active matter and to address the root cause of mold growth. Testing the current environment and examining the history of water leaks and humidity levels can provide helpful information.
If mold exposure is a past issue, testing for mold mycotoxins in the urine can evaluate mold detoxification capacity. Utilizing NAC and glutathione can help eliminate water-soluble mold toxins in the urine. Dr. Justin emphasizes the need to address both the gut and environment for individuals with chronic colonization of mold in the gut.

In this video, Dr. Justin discusses stomach pain at night and the various causes that lead to this discomfort. One of the primary causes of this pain is poor digestion, which results in gastroparesis or the slowing down of food movement from the stomach to the small intestine. To facilitate better digestion, one needs good acidity, which helps break down food and activate proteolytic enzymes. This process triggers the release of bile and pancreatic output for fat breakdown and enzyme production, respectively.
Furthermore, Dr. Justin explains that bacterial imbalances in the stomach can throw off acidity levels, leading to gastritis and a weakened esophageal sphincter. He suggests taking hydrochloric acid, enzymes, and bile support to improve digestion and reduce stomach pain. Natural prokinetics such as ginger, gentian, and chamomile can also help move food from the stomach to the small intestine. Dr. Justin advises avoiding big meals and consuming easily digestible foods such as soups, stews, and smoothies to alleviate stomach pain at night. Using acid reflux wedge pillows while sleeping can also help prevent food from moving up the esophagus.

Top 3 reasons for a UTI (urinary tract infection) and how to fix it!
Top 3 reasons for a UTI (urinary tract infection) and how to fix it!
Schedule a FREE Consult: http://www.justinhealth.com/free-consultation
In this YouTube video, Dr. Justin Martini discusses the top three reasons for urinary tract infections (UTIs) and how to address them. UTIs are more common in women due to the shorter distance for bacteria to spread from the urethra into the bladder and kidneys. The risk of UTI is increased after sex, and an imbalance in the vaginal pH also plays a role.
Beneficial bacteria produce acid that makes it harder for bacteria to grow, so imbalances in pH can cause problems. E. coli is the most common UTI bacteria, while Gardnerella is associated with bacterial vaginosis. Yeast infections can have similar symptoms to BV, but odor and discharge can help differentiate them. Probiotics and hydration can help prevent UTIs, and it is also essential to avoid processed foods that can throw off the vaginal microbiome. Testing can be done to determine the presence of bacteria or yeast.
And if you found this information helpful, be sure to like and share this video to help spread awareness about UTIs and how to prevent and treat them.

In this video, Dr. Justin talks about the importance of the gut microbiome and the factors that can lead to an imbalance between good and bad bacteria in the gut. For example, excessive use of antibiotics, pesticides, processed foods, and poor digestion can all contribute to the excessive production of harmful bacteria, which can cause various digestive issues.
To improve gut health, Dr. Justin recommends adding fermented foods to the diet, which can supplement probiotics and support the growth of good bacteria. However, he cautions that probiotics may not be the best option if a person already has digestive issues, and underlying gut issues must be addressed first. This process includes removing harmful foods, improving digestion and motility, testing for and treating gut infections, and supporting adrenal function. By taking these steps, individuals can restore balance to their gut microbiome and improve their overall health.

Understanding Gluten Sensitivity: Symptoms, Testing, and Impact on Health

Full Podcast Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOyvAT526wI
In this video, Dr. Justin discusses gluten sensitivity, an actual condition that affects a large percentage of the population. While many people associate gluten sensitivity with intestinal issues such as bloating, gas, diarrhea, and constipation, symptoms can also manifest outside the gut, such as brain fog, fatigue, mood issues, and sleep problems. Therefore, Dr. Justin emphasizes the importance of considering extra-intestinal symptoms when assessing gluten sensitivity.
There is a distinction between gluten sensitivity and celiac disease, a more severe form of gluten intolerance. Celiac disease requires significant inflammation and damage to the intestinal tract, as well as specific antibodies that attack the tissue in the gut. In contrast, gluten sensitivity is a broader category encompassing a range of symptoms that can arise from gluten consumption. Testing for gluten sensitivity can be done through various methods such as diet, blood tests, and stool tests. It is crucial to consider different factors impacting gluten sensitivity, including food allergenicity, pesticide residue, intolerance, leaky gut, and nutrient deficiencies.

How to test for Gluten Sensitivity
How to test for Gluten Sensitivity
Schedule a FREE Consult: http://www.justinhealth.com/free-consultation
Full Podcast Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOyvAT526wI
In this video, Dr. Justin discusses how to test for gluten sensitivity. One method involves eliminating gluten-containing grains and observing any improvements in symptoms. In contrast, another approach involves blood tests, endoscopy, and stool tests to detect antibodies and damage to the microvilli in the small intestine. The speaker also suggests eliminating other foods, such as nuts, seeds, and eggs, as part of an autoimmune-type paleo diet, which can help reduce inflammation and identify potential triggers for gluten sensitivity. Individuals can better understand their body's response to gluten and other possible stimuli by reducing inflammation through a clean diet and gradually reintroducing certain foods. The microvilli in the small intestine play a crucial role in absorbing essential nutrients and minerals.
When inflammation caused by gluten sensitivity damages the microvilli, individuals may experience symptoms such as joint pain, brain fog, and fatigue. Through blood tests, endoscopy, and stool tests, healthcare professionals can detect potential triggers for gluten sensitivity and assess the extent of damage to the small intestine. In addition, by eliminating potential triggers such as gluten-containing grains and other foods as part of a paleo diet, individuals can reduce inflammation and better understand their body's response to certain foods, helping to manage symptoms of gluten sensitivity.

In this video, Dr. Justin discusses the critical role of acidity in enzyme production and digestion. He explains that an excellent acidic environment is necessary to stimulate enzyme production and trigger the digestive cascade. However, excessive acidity can have negative consequences, leading to inflammation and a fight-or-flight response that shuts off digestion. Therefore, it is essential to maintain a balance of acidity and avoid inflammatory inputs such as allergenic foods, processed foods, and environmental toxins to ensure optimal digestive function.
Dr. Justin emphasizes the importance of relaxing the adrenals to stimulate digestion. Techniques such as breathing, meditation, appreciation, and consuming anti-inflammatory foods can help promote a relaxed, parasympathetic state. Furthermore, he notes that fasting can also be helpful, especially if an individual consumes many inflammatory foods. In summary, maintaining a balance of acidity, avoiding inflammatory inputs, and supporting a relaxed, parasympathetic state are critical components of promoting healthy enzyme production and digestion.

In this video, Dr. Justin and Dr. Linda discussed the relationship between food and cancer. They shared their beliefs about the role of processed sugar, processed foods, pesticides, and xenoestrogens in cancer growth. They also emphasized that a lack of pancreatic enzymes is the root issue for cancer rather than consuming natural sugars and starches.
The speakers do not advocate for restrictive diets and believe that a diet with good-quality fats and grass-fed meat, along with a focus on pancreatic enzymes, is the best approach for people. The diet should not be overly restrictive, and people should still be able to enjoy a variety of foods while following a healthy eating pattern. The speakers also emphasized the importance of listening to one's body and finding a diet that works best for each individual.
