Charles Stanley Grandson Matthew Did This a Week After His Grandfathers Death. His grandson Matthew sold his grandfathers stuff on ebay a week after his death. These were items from his grandfathers office that were given to him. This is also Charles Stanley grandson on drugs. But now he is sober but in a bad place financially. Hundreds of comments poured in to let Matt know his actions were terrible. So he did apologize but wouldn't take the stuff off eBay. His famous uncle Andy Stanley called him to communicate how upset he was and he should take the stuff off eBay immediately. I do not want to bash Matthew since he clearly has mental health issues. I think we should pray for him. But this goes to show the place we are in society. It also shows the discipleship problem the church has. If the great preacher Charles Stanley's grandson could end up like this - It can happen to any of us. We need to put an emphasis on discipleship in the church to make sure no one falls through the cracks. I'm doing to do a Jesus Revolution Review -and share the Prophetic Word God spoke to my heart while watching it. I will try not to spoil the movie for those who didn't see it. The movie starts out with a struggling preacher named Chuck Smith. He has a dead church with a few people and is at a cross road. Many times our own efforts will get us no place. God doesn't have to bless our plans. It is when we die to our plans that his plans begin. Chuck story doesn't get of to a good start. But his daughter introduces him to a hippie preacher name Lonnie Frisbee. God has in mind to reach the hippie but Chuck doesn't seem excited about this. But Chuck lays aside his plans and follows God on this one. The result is explosive growth and a movement that would sweep through America. In this controversial Derek Prince Shorts Sermon clip on African American Christians and churches. Derek starts of by saying that he is not racist and he has a black daughter. He states their ancestors were taken as slaves. He finds that most black Christians can only get so far and they hit a wall. He states that African Americans have been politically emancipated but have never been spiritually emancipated. He feels that they are still under a spirt of slavery. And Paul states that we are no longer slaves. Slavery in this case is a legalistic culture which he feels most black churches have. Today i want to talk about Soul Care Identity. Soul Care was written by Dr Rob Reimer from Alliance Theological Seminary in NYC. This is a great book on Inner Healing and Deliverance. I would say the most important concept in this book is the teaching on Our Identity in Christ. This is going to be an Identity in Christ Sermon. Soul care rob reimer review. Rob is having a lot of success in life and ministry. But hits a crisis in his marriage. His wife no longer likes him at all. This leads to many months of dialog that seem to go no place. Rob is shaken to the core by all of this. He is having deep fear and anxiety. Until he gets the revelation that even if his wife no longer loves him that it doesn't matter because his Identity is in Christ. The issue of our value is settled at the cross. Our identity in Christ must be the only foundation we build life upon. Jesus promised us in this life we would have many trails and sorrows. But once we understand our identity and that God loves us nothing else really matters. Because no matter what we go through Gods love will be enough. American Christianity is the joke of the world I learned this while taking a mission class in seminary Missionary after and missionary stated this Often when Americans go on missions trips to help the pour Americans find out that they are impacted much more deeply then the impact they are having on the poor Francis Chan is one of those people i respect tremendously He started a mega church in California And one day after spending time with the lord decided to give it all up He handed over the keys to the church He sold everything he had and took his family to the mission field for several years Came back to the US and started a house church movement I myself go to a house church I've decided that normal church isn't for me I have been part of planting a church with a few members and watch it grow to a mega church Only to find myself looking for something more So Francis daughter lead him on a challenge to read the bible cover to cover in 30 days he did and came out deeply changed again He came out with deep revelation which is a timely word for the America church today Francis Chan sermon states that we do not sound like the prophets, Jesus and the Apostles.
