What's in Salem Oregon?
Salem Oregon is not what I expected
Based on the internet reputation it seems to have gotten I expected Salem to be a steaming pit of despair, but that's just not what I found. I am sure the negatives are there, but I found Salem to be clean, beautiful, and full of great things.
Today we will visit the downtown, Hallie Ford Museum of Art, Willamette Heritage Center, Pioneer cemetery, Riverfront Park, and even go out to McMinnville to see the Evergreen Air and Space Museum. These are incredible stops in an equally incredible city. Come join us for the tour.

Monuments Valley
Monuments Valley is a place out of time. This is a sacred place, and it’s easy to see why.
There’s just something that strikes you about this place, something that penetrates to your very core. It looks like it doesn’t belong to this world, or it couldn’t belong in this world.
The dry stone reaches out of the desert toward the heavens for what human hands have strived for throughout time, but could never quite reach. You feel old here, ancient beyond the stars.
It gives you a sense of smallness, like you’re a speck of dust in the vastness of space, and yet able to reach out and touch the furthest frontiers of what is known and unknown.
It’s the backdrop against which the American hero rides off into the sunset, like the gateway of eternity.

Las Vegas, St Thomas, and the Valley of Fire
Today we're in sin city, or Las Vegas Nevada. This is a strange place that shouldn't exist, and yet it does. Anything you can imagine is here. Las Vegas given nickname, sin city, gives it the image of a being a bad place, and perhaps it is for some, but I see Las Vegas as the freest city in America. Freedom comes with responsibility, and that couldn't be more true in Las Vegas.
We're also stoping in to see the Valley of Fire state park. If fire could be frozen and turned to stone, I imagine this is what it would look like. It's a harsh environment, but incredibly beautiful at the same time. Valley of Fire state park is incredible to see.
The final stop on this visit is the town of St Thomas, Nevada. The town today only exists as ruins after spending so long at the bottom of Lake Meade. Due to the extremely low water level in the lake at the time of recording this it was possible to go see this unique ghost town.
I hope you enjoy the visit!

Roswell New Mexico [I want to believe]
Roswell New Mexico has become something of a Mecca for everything paranormal over the last several decades. All of this due to an alleged flying saucer crash back in 1947. We will explore that aspect of Roswell New Mexico, but at the same time get to know Roswell the plain old American town. Join us to visit the Roswell Museum, Chaves County Courthouse, the Roswell UFO Museum, and the Bottomless Lakes State Park. There's a lot to see, so let's get to it.

Saint Joseph Missouri
Today we are visiting Saint Joseph Missouri. Saint Joseph Missouri has come up many times in my favorite books by Mark Twain. Growing up in China, reading from Mark Twain's books, Saint Joseph Missouri was a far away and strange place to me. It is really amazing to be visiting the real place. Saint Joseph Missouri is a bit rough around the edges, but it still has a lot to offer. If you are a history buff then this place will likely be a thrill to visit. Everything from the Pony Express headquarters, to the house Jesse James lived and died in. I hope you will join us as we visit Saint Joseph Missouri.

Join us on the road
The road has a way of taking you. You set off toward a destination, but as you slow down to take in what lies along the way, you realize that every little town and village has something incredible to offer.
I have loved travel since I was twelve years old. I have never forgotten the wonder of jumping on the train to visit my mother, and hearing new stories from passengers getting on at each stop along the way. Or seeing villages and cities go past the window, and wondering if things are very different from my own hometown.
Since those days I have traveled a lot, and have always been amazed at how much we all have in common, and have learned to treasure the things that set each place apart.
Every place has a story, and its being added to all the time. I have set out on the road to see if I can get a small piece of that story. I hope you will join us as we make our way to each incredible destination, both known and unknown.
Who knows where the road will take us. As I become part of your story and you become part of my story, it becomes our story.
