See pilot Pierre-Marie Poli at 180km/h (112 miles), just 2 meters from the film chopper, in search of top speed in his memorable contest for overall ranking leadership with Patrick Tambay's Range Rover 200km/h (124 miles), in the Dakar 1988.
They ended the stage tied after this epic duel.
Due to the failure of the engine spark plug, he was 15 km from the goal on the beach in Dakar, when he was in the lead of the race.
Pierre Marie Poli's motorcycle (nr. 88) is the Écureuil 1000 ERS prototype.
