Uncut History #56
This week, I got a lot of things to discuss but no set theme for the night. Homes to Medal of Honor recipients, my beef with the naive press coverage of Civil War (2024) and pro wrestling failing to learn from past mistakes. Lots of stuff!

1974 Super Outbreak 50 Years Later! | Uncut History #55
I'm back from Easter holiday. Tonight we return to the air to reflect upon the 20th Century's worst outbreak of tornadoes. On April 3-4th, 1974, over a hundred of tornadoes touched down in thirteen states in the USA. Over three hundred people lost their lives, yet this outbreak would revolutionize the way weather predicting is conducted.

George Washington's Whiskey Rebellion HQ | Retracing History #62
In 1794, the United States of America received its first major challenge towards its new constitution. President Washington would successfully raise an army to put down a rebellion of Pennsylvania's westernmost counties over a tax on whiskey. Washington made his headquarters in the residence of a former militia officer in the American Revolution, which we pay a visit to in this edition of Retracing History.

America's Scottish Congressional President | Retracing History Episode 57
Yes, the United States of America (technically) had a Scottish-born President. He was Arthur St Clair, noted Patriot general and civic leader of the Northwest Territory. His name is also associated with the US Army's greatest catastrophe. Largely forgotten in the curriculum of American History, we will explore surviving vestiges of St. Clair throughout Western Pennsylvania.

Remember The Raisin
During January 1813 a series of skirmishes occurred in present-day Michigan between US, British & Amerindian forces. What would have originally been remembered as yet another debacle in American leadership during the War of 1812 was instead declared a massacre, generating one of the US Army's first battle cries and dictating US-Indigenous diplomacy for the rest of the century. This is the story of the Battles of Frenchtown and the rallying cry "Remember The Raisin".
