A Kansas teacher has a unique way of greeting her students as she gives each one their own special handshake as they start the day. Twenty-two third graders at Mueller Elementary School in Wichita, Kan., get their very own personalized, secret, and very elaborate handshake from their teacher, Jerusha Willenborg, every morning. The handshake tradition began four years ago when one student wanted a special greeting. “I just had a student who wanted something more than a high-five and knuckles and he kept adding on to it every day and the rest of my kids wanted one and it just hasn't stopped,” she told Inside Edition. The students came up with their handshakes and she has her own method of remembering them. "I look them in the eyes and I know their handshakes. I have them do it at least three times in a row so that it sticks to both of us," she said. “I do make mistakes, but the funny thing is the kids make mistakes more than I do." The greetings include fist bumps, dancing, hip bumps, hugs and very intricate hand-clapping. Before the start of each day, the students line up in the hallway to perform their handshake with Willenborg. "It is special between me and that one student," she said. "That one student knows I care about them."

Every person who looked at them, passed on them, probably due to being part pit bull. James found out his dogs were up for adoption and was trying to raise money, even willing to sell his car to get is doggies back. He said he didn’t have all the money the next day, but that’s when Melissa Eagle at the First State Animal Shelter and her colleagues stepped in to raise the money so that James wouldn’t need to sell his car. In addition to some stuff for his dogs, they also got stuff for him. It’s nice to see others stepping in to help.

Two police officers in an Atlanta suburb are on administrative leave after their chief watched body camera video that appears to show them joking about using a coin-flip app to determine whether a driver would be arrested for reckless driving. Roswell Police officers Courtney Brown and Kristee Wilson were involved in a traffic stop April 7 after Brown pulled over Sarah Webb, who was on her way to work. The officers are heard discussing a range of punishments in the video. Early in the discussion, Brown says she is considering arresting Webb for reckless driving. Later they discuss the coin-flip app. One officer says to the other "A heads, R tails." The sound of the app's coin flip is heard, and then one officer says, "This says tails, right?" The other officer responds, "Yeah, so release?" followed by the first officer saying "23." Twenty-three is a Roswell police code for arrest. Video shows Brown arrest Webb. The officer said she was driving more than 80 miles per hour on a section of wet road that has a maximum speed of 45. The officer estimated her speed because she didn't have a radar gun. "It was gross negligence and recklessness on behalf of the Roswell Police Department ... that they would allow me to go to jail on a coin flip," Webb said Friday. While the officer appears to have used a coin flip in the discussion of the motorist's fate, it ultimately doesn't appear to have affected the officers' decision to arrest Webb. Chief Rusty Grant said in a statement that an internal investigation is underway. "I have much higher expectations of our police officers and I am appalled that any law enforcement officer would trivialize the decision-making process of something as important as the arrest of a person," he said.
