Best of 2021

We spent 2 months in Great Falls Montana. These are the sights and locations around town and nearby. The shots are mostly short vignettes, I changed my editing approach in an attempt to maintain better visual interest. If you found my previous videos too slow, you might like this video better.

We spent some time on the west side of the park near Hungry Horse, MT. Snow had not melted by the time we had to leave in mid July. We took a long break from traveling and returned to the east side of the park on September 1, 2022. Quality is not as good due to the size of the file.

We went with a group to the Mozna Chocolate Factory. We were given hair nets and aprons, then we were escorted into the production area. The area was converted into a presentation area for our visit. we were introduced to some of the terms in the chocolate business and a short video of the history of CACAO. I have shortened the video segment, and only included a small bit of Dan's presentation.

These national parks are very offroad focused. If you go, be sure to reserve a 4x4 rental in advance! We did not do that, and we don't own one currently. So what we saw was Still Amazing, as seen from the main roads or minimal hiking. The Landscape Arch was the only one I hiked to. It was about a mile out and tame hills, but it put an end to any hiking ambitions for the rest of the trip. A portion of another arch fell in my lifetime, as fragile as this one looks, it might be the next one to fall.

Exactly like the first "Elk Encounters" video, with 2 very small changes. The "real" elk to the "watercolor" elk transition got a few seconds shorter. The INTRO has a different backdrop.
