All work is done in Blender. Next on my list is to clean up some of the ugly comp work. We're getting there!

Benji's Garden | SNEAK PEAK
Here is a sneak peak of an upcoming short-form series I am making about friends that discover a run-down community garden and nurse it back to health. All animation is done in Blender (because why would anyone use anything else?)

Sharing Is Fun Song | Quail Run Nursery Rhymes & Kids Songs
This is a song I wrote to help our 4-year-old learn how to share. The dogs sing the song about sharing and help a friend along the way. I might have to do a follow-up where our new friend finds a home.
All animation is done in Blender 2.93.

Learning to Use a Crossing Signal
Puppy dogs Max and Dolly learn how to use a crossing signal to help someone cross the street. This is a scene from my upcoming terrible feature-length film I'm making: "Puppy Dog Patrol: the Movie."
All animation is done in Blender 2.9.

Johny Johny Yes Papa (with Better Morals) | SONG
I might be overthinking this, but I have always felt like the nursery song Johny Johny Yes Papa encourages lying and turns it into a game. This version encourages and rewards honesty. I'm trying a new character style too. Using plushes instead of plastic gives me a lot more flexibility in animation. That said, I don't kow if this is here to stay-- my brother took one look and told me they gave him the bad chills. Please don't be too traumatized!
Also, my son is not a natural singer (but I still love him). I was tempted to auto-tune him for half a second, but my wife let me know that was a terrible idea. Thanks honey!
All animation is done in Blender 2.93.

Nobody is Perfect | SONG
This is a scene from my current project. I went a little crazy and decided to make a feature length film (40 minutes). It's a mockbuster called Puppy Dog Patrol. I wrote this song in literally one day. I KNOW it's bad haha. The whole point of this project is that it's okay if it's bad.
All animation is done in Blender. I switched to Eevee to save on render time and haven't hated it.

Pokemon Go Trainers are the Worst | POKEMON PARODY
All animation and compositing are done with Blender. The most challenging part was one-point motion tracking for the candy (and yes, I know it should be brown).

Modeling Harry Potter Glasses in Blender 2.8 | PROCESS VIDEO
Modeling Harry Potter's glasses based on a description from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. This is Blender 2.8. The most challenging part of this was the scotch tape. I tried to use a cloth simulation, but it didn't quite work. I ended up just moving things manually and applying a sub-surface mod. Also, scotch tape doesn't look great to me here from a design perspective. I believe they used masking tape in the movie. I think that would have looked better here.
Modeling a Screw in Blender 2.8 | PROCESS VIDEO
This could have gone better. Conceptually, it made sense to me to use twist in the simple deform tool to get the corkscrew shape for the screw, but it didn't work particularly well. If someone knows a better way (there can't be a worse way) to form a corkscrew shape in Blender 2.8, please share. #modelingfail

Modeling a Pop Can in Blender 2.8 | PROCESS VIDEO
A process video of modeling a pop can in Blender 2.8. I learned during this that the boolean tool doesn't play nice with the subdivision surface modifier, so I ended up insetting the spout for a better result. I don't typically work from a reference. Also, if you know a better way to do something (which would NOT be a surprise) please let us all know. Blender noob here.

My second month using Blender 2.8. The rough evolution here is from terrible basic character animations (sorry about the creepy salt shaker guy) to better figurine-style animations.

Making a Pill Bottle in Absolute Silence | Blender 2.8
I've only been using Blender for a few months and I typically don't work from models. In hindsight, I would have constructed this differently to avoid having to carve out the inside using the boolean tool.
