Hilarious dog throwing dirt on another dog's head
Rigby loves to aggressively dig holes, looking for ground squirrels. He is fast and throws out a lot of dirt. Cooper was behind him and in the way of the fast accumulating dirt pile. His head was getting covered in dirt and Rigby didnt care, apparently neither did Cooper! Comical!

Little dog swims to fetch a log too big for him
Rigby is a beagle chihuahua mix. He loves to swim in the summer. He grabs anything you throw for him. Someone threw this big log for a big dog to fetch but he decided to go get it. He struggled, but did a great job bringing it to shore. Then he was mad at it and was scratching and chewing at it. Hes so funny!

Puppy siblings use teamwork to carry stick
Marshall and Millie are 3 month old jack russell siblings. They love to go for walks in the woods. Picking up sticks is fun for puppies, this was too big and they figured out that using teamwork is much easier. Too cute!

Cutest little puppy discovers creative way to play
Marshall is a 2 1/2 month old jack russell puppy. Him and his sister, Millie, are very playful. The owners find creative ways to keep them busy and hanging a string and toys from the ceiling is one of them. Marshall found a way to keep himself entertained while his sister was napping. Pulling on the string and rolling around seems like a lot of fun to a puppy!

Adorable baby badger curiously follows the camera
Badgers are small mammals with flat, wedge-shaped bodies, broad feet with long claws and coarse hair that can be black, brown, gold or white. They are related to ferrets, minks, otters, weasels and wolverines. Badgers are nocturnal, meaning they are most active at night and sleep during the day. They have strong limbs and sharp claws that help them dig burrows and find food underground. They make their homes by digging tunnels and caves and use grass and leaves for bedding.
Baby badgers are called cubs and stay with their mom until about 6 months.
This little guy, named "Bucky Blue Cheese" lives at the DeYoung zoo in Wallace, Mi. He is very curious and playful. He is used to people but everything is still new to him. It is so great for humans to experience these beautiful animals in an intimate setting. We can learn so much.

Dog hangs on pool floatie just like a human
Rigby the beagle chihuahua mix loves water. He swims in the pool all summer. He got tired of swimming around one day and climbed up on this pool noodle floatie. He has tremendous balance to hang on to this kind of noodle. He really lives to be near the rest of the family and do whatever it takes!

Pair of dogs use teamwork to dig giant hole
Stevi is a Jack Russell and Rigby is a Chihuahua/Beagle mix. They both love to hunt critters in the woods. On one of their walks, they encountered something in a small hole. They started digging frantically. It seems counter-productive when one is digging in front of the other and filling in his hole. They never did find what they were digging for. Still lots of fun though!

Asian Lady Beetle hitchin a ride
Just kidding, this multicolored Asian Ladybeetle is not hitchin a ride...they are breeding! Its comical how the male is just hanging on and just helps out with his back legs once and a while!
They are not the same as the common LadyBug. This insect has a wider range of colors and spot numbers than other lady beetle species. Wings range from black to mustard; spots number zero to many. The most common U.S. form is mustard to red with 16 or more black spots.
The multicolored Asian lady beetle (Harmonia axyridis) is native to Asia but occurs in many areas of the United States. This beneficial insect was imported and released as early as 1916 in attempts to naturally control certain insect pests.

Spoiled Dog Will Only Eat If He's Hand Fed
Rigby is a nine-year-old chihuahua beagle mix. Meal times are always a challenge. He prefers to be fed each individual crumpet, by hand.
He suffers from anxiety, so his owners do whatever they can to make him happy. It is quite funny how he reacts to putting the dish in front of him. He turns his nose up in refusal. It's like it would be so BENEATH him to eat like a peasant!

Meet the beautiful Watermelon Fiddler Crab
This gorgeous crustacean is called a Watermelon Fiddler Crab due to its unique coloration which resembles, you guessed it, that of a watermelon!
Fiddler crabs make up approximately 100 species of semi-terrestrial marine crabs that are distinguished by their own over-sized claw positioned opposite to a tinier, meeker-looking claw. Fiddler crabs get their names from the movement of the smaller claw to the animal’s mouth when eating – it looks like the smaller claw is playing the larger one, just like a fiddle!
Watermelon Fiddler Crabs , like other fiddler crabs, use their big claw in ritualized combat during courtship of a female by signaling their intentions to other crabs. A large claw may be lost in battle, but no matter because these guys are able to regrow a new claw after their next molt. The process is a little odd however, because the new, larger claw will actually form from the original small claw (it will just increase in size) and the lost claw will become the small claw. The big claw basically switches sides if lost. Either way, a big claw is a big claw!

Farm dog gently picks up rocks and moves them around the yard
Cooper the Australian cattle dog is a herding breed. He loves to work and be part of the family. When they are doing things around the yard, he likes to help. Here he is gently picking up rocks and moving them. We don't know how or why he started doing it, but he certainly feels special and helpful. He's so sweet!

There's a parrot in my pants!!
Loki the white bellied caique is very mischievous. Willie, the green quaker, is more of a serious parrot. When Loki decides to climb in my pajama pants and play around, Willie is not sure why he would wanna do that. They are such a funny miss-matched pair of brothers.

Cute parrot deliberately making a paper clip mess
Loki the white bellied caique is very mischievous. He enjoys making messes. There is no purpose for this behavior besides just being playful and funny. It looks like he's actually searching for a certain color and cannot find it! Who cares why he's doing it, it's just fun to watch.

Parrots beat up on new bird toy
Loki and Willie are spoiled parrots with their own bird room. They have lots of toys. But, apparently they do not appreciate a new blackbird stuffed animal. They must not want to share anything. Willie, the green and gray one, especially does not like to share. He gets territorial when anyone or anything goes near Loki. He gets rid of the little blackbird immediately! Its so cute and funny!

A nutcracker: parrot opening a pistachio
Loki the white bellied caique loves pistachios. Parrots are often called hookbills, which is an avicultural term based on the shape of the beak or bill. This distinguishes parrots from softbills and other birds, such as doves and finches. The function of the parrot beak is for climbing, as well as manipulating and crushing objects. They can multitask by carrying objects in their beaks and climb to different locations. Their tongues are used to manipulate their food inside their bill. Although their tongues may look unimpressively blobby, parrots are unusual among birds in having muscles in their tongue, like we do. Most birds don't have muscles in the front third of their tongue at all. Loki demonstrates all of this very well and imitates a "nutcracker". So amazing!!

Big dog puts little dog in headlock
Cooper the Australian cattle dog and Stevi the jack russell are best of friends. They wrestle and play all the time. They also snuggle and groom each other. Cooper was licking and chewing on her ears but she was squirming too much so he put his foot on her head to hold her down. She didn't really mind at first. Then she had enough and got out of the headlock! They are quite the pair.

Beautiful rare Pileated Woodpecker at a feeder
The pileated woodpecker is a big, dashing bird with a flaming crest, the largest woodpecker in North America (except the Ivory-bill, which is almost certainly extinct). Excavating deep into rotten wood to get at the nests of carpenter ants, the Pileated leaves characteristic rectangular holes in dead trees. This species became rare in eastern North America with clearing of forests in centuries past, but has gradually increased in numbers again since about the beginning of the 20th century. Where unmolested, it even lives in parks and woodlots around the edges of large cities.
This beauty showed up at a bird feeder in Wisconsin.

Parrot being bounced upside-down and keeps wanting more
Loki is a 12 yr old white bellied caique. Caiques are known for clowning around. Loki likes to hang upside down and play. His owners bounce him up and down and he loves it. He beaks at her hand to try to do more. He bounces around himself too. He imitates clicking and whistling noises. When he is using his beak on her hands, he is gentle and it doesn't hurt. So comical!

This ragged ol flag will never be replaced
Trump is in the fight of a lifetime. He needs us to stay strong and keep faith that he can win this rigged election. We hung this flag up over a year ago. It has been through storms, rain, hail, snow, and hot sun. It may look ragged and that it should be time for a new one. But this flag represents everything Trump has been through and yet is still here, still sending a message, still strong! I will not replace this flag, ever!! I am mighty proud of this ragged ol flag!!
