Touring Los Angeles, CA (Part 2)
The back half of the trip takes us to Universal Studios (I loved the back lot tour), Santa Monica Pier, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Griffith Park, and of course...the never-ending food tour.

Touring Los Angeles, CA (Part 1)
My first time in L.A. and the surrounding areas. Between excellent food, beautiful hikes, a couple of themed bars, and about 20 miles of walking, we got a lot done during the first part of our trip. Part 2 will be up soon, in which we visit the Griffith Observatory, Universal Studios, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, and more!

Exploring Sugarloaf Mountain, MD
Sugarloaf Mountain, part of the Blue Ridge Range, isn't the tallest mountain around, but it still has some some incredible views and lots of trails to get lost on. Located near Frederick, MD, the area has a winery, stables, two mansions (one of which can be rented out for events), remains of long forgotten homes and cabins and sites, and more to explore. There are a fe ways to get to the top, some of them being incredibly steep (of course I had to choose the hard way), but other paths allow for almost any age or fitness level. Toward the base of the mountain you may also come across lots of bikers on the paths and roads the wind up toward some of the parking lots. I'm sure I didn't see everything, so another visit would not be unwelcome in the future.

Kayaking in King George, VA
My brother and I buy our first kayaks and take them for a test drive right in our own back yard. So much we didn't know existed for so many years. It was a beautiful weekend!
