May 2024 Astrology - Some Yummy Cosmic Stuff
Hello my friends, I’m here to tell you what to expect from the sky for next month.
Pluto is the first outer planet who is going retrograde for what has been months. Pluto represents transformation and crisis, and since it has just entered a new part of your life since shifting into Aquarius in January, there may be some big change that happens this month which especially involves other people.
The best time to see Mercury in the sky this month is during May 7th’s dark New Moon. Mercury will be at its brightest, so you can see Mercury in the east just before sun rise. This is considered to be a classically strong position for the planet of travel, writing and learning. Around May 7th, you may get some clarity in your life, especially since we are past the confusing Mercury retrograde period in April, and it will be a fortunate period to take a trip, learn something new, or do anything mercury related which are things like writing and media.
We are also going to have a very lucky Full Moon in Sagitttarius on May 23 because the benefits, Venus and Jupiter are both involved. You may feel like you are getting closer to a goal or ideal you have, and can regenerate your faith in some way.
And Finally, Jupiter will enter Gemini at the end of the month, and will stay in this sign for about a year. This is going to be a nice year for the Geminis in your life because the luck planet is traveling in their sign. They may get a boost to their health, optimism and personal growth. Gemini rules learning, writing, teaching, and travel, so we are all blessed in these areas as Jupiter travels through this sign.

Cosmic News for March! This is a Great New Moon for Divination and the Equinox is almost here!
Hello my friend. There’s a New Moon in the escapist sign of Pisces on March 10 that will leave you disdaining the mundane. Pisces is the cosmic escape artist, so you may find some way to zone out the real world such as through a sci-fi movie, or through a substance. This is a very prophetic New Moon though, so you may be dreaming more vividly and your hunches may be really good. This is an excellent new moon for any type of divination.
The Aries Equinox is coming up later this month. Equinox means ‘equal night’ so that’s when there’s an equal amount of daylight and night time. This is generally a day for ritual magic across many traditions. After the equinox on the 20th, the light is going to get longer and longer into the day as we head into summer.

The Purpose of Good and Bad Luck Planets in Astrology
I've noticed that my clients are often oblivious to their luck. No one has ever come into my office complaining about a lucky transit from Jupiter (unless they are trying to keep their weight down). But whenever I point out a challenging, malefic planet like Saturn, my clients are acutely aware of its harsh effect.
A cosmic smiley face with a blindfold on. Happy planets may bring luck but no awareness.
Image consciously created by Midjourney AI from words in this article
The challenging planets describe our problems while also providing archetypal remedies for them. When my clients are going through a tough time, I try to contextualize their hardship by connecting them to its higher meaning. The trick is how you integrate the planet’s influence, and that involves making decisions aligned with purpose.
For example, Saturn is the task master who tests you. The best way to respond to a Saturnian test is to work hard. If he shows you a weakness, then it’s time to fortify it. If something is not working out, then Saturn teaches us to cut our losses. While endings are hard, they also make room for new growth. Seen from this perspective, Saturn is onerous but constructive.
If someone comes into my office wanting to talk about a career problem, I follow the astrological thread to the planet that cosmically correlates. I explain the higher purpose of the transit to reframe their issue. Just like the homeopathic adage in the poison, lies the cure; the challenging planet also provides a practical and actionable antidote.
Astrology does not erase your agency; in fact, it augments it.
The natal chart is a signpost for your self-actualization, and this chart mirrors your situation back to you. If you are more conscious while making decisions, then your decisions will lead to better outcomes. Astrology does not erase your agency; in fact, it augments it. Malefic planets are spiritual accelerants; they are the grit in the oyster of your personal evolution.
Ominous eye floating in space watching us like CCTV. Malefic planets are rough but they invite more awareness.
Image consciously created by Midjourney AI using words from this article
After discussing a client’s hardship, I offer another perspective by remarking on what’s going well in their life. Maybe that client has benefic Jupiter transiting their 7th house, so things are going well in their relationship. Maybe they are arguing less with their partner, and growing together. When I bring up their luck, my clients often look at me with some surprised acknowledgement. It’s true, but why hadn’t they noticed it?
Nothing commands our attention better than pain, both physically and psychologically.
This leads me to think about the evolutionary purpose of malefic versus benefic planets. Difficult planets like Saturn invite more consciousness than the luck planets, because we are keenly aware of the challenge they bring. Nothing commands our attention better than pain, both physically and psychologically. Often, we are incognizant of luck because we take things for granted when they feel good.
I don’t want to sugarcoat how challenging and raw life can be. There are times when we are all pushed to the brink, and we need some glimmer of hope or purpose or meaning to keep us going. The benefic planets and lucky transits in astrology can balance our outlook during a dark time. But the challenging ones are what will ultimately connect us to our purpose. They engender awareness, and awareness is the name of the game.

Pluto in Aquarius: Its Meaning and an Astrologer's Prediction
If you are plugged into astrology then you probably already know: Pluto has just entered Aquarius — the sign of technology, the future, and groups of people. Pluto will dip back into Capricorn one last time in September and November, until it fully crosses the threshold into Aquarius and stays there until 2043. What can we expect from this epic, cosmic shift? Let’s unpack the symbolism.
I love understanding the signs through the lens of traditional rulerships. Futuristic Aquarius is historically ruled by Saturn: the planet of limitation. Why? Because Saturn rules time. Time is the biggest limitation on our existence. We only have so many years on this earth, and if we don’t make the most of them, there goes our chance! Sounds rather Saturnian, no?
Capricorn is the side of Saturn which rules the past, while Aquarius is the side of Saturn which rules the future. That’s why Aquarius is associated with technology; ascending technology moves us away from the past and towards the future. Just think about what the invention of birth control did for women’s liberation.
Aquarius is a social sign, it represents groups of people. The dark side of Aquarius brings the Greater Malefic’s rulership into sharp relief: just think about all the terrible things committed by mob violence and senseless tribalism, like the Salem Witch trials. However, Aquarius has a high side to it as well. The greatest innovations in history, such as the internet or the Sistine Chapel, could only be accomplished through an organized group effort.
So let’s discuss Pluto. Pluto tends to put our ego on steroids. Think about Pluto as the critical mass event that makes a volcano erupt. It takes thousands of years of slow, simmering, geologic activity before the volcano blows its top, and transforms the surrounding landscape. Pluto takes something from one state and transforms it to the opposite. In the volcano example, earth becomes fire.
Pluto is associated with power, control and can inspire some of the darkest extremes of human behavior. Since 2008 when Pluto crossed the corporate sign Capricorn, Big Business amassed unprecedented amounts of money and power. Amazon dominated the marketplace and tech companies increasingly controlled and surveilled our lives. These guys make the Robber Barons of the late 19th century look like cream puffs.
The symbol of Aquarius is the Water Bearer, a person who brings water to the village center where people would gather to collect the precious resource. The Water Bearer is a social networker, and ancient civilizations thrived upon water-based technologies such as plumbing, sanitation, and hydraulic mills. Why does an air sign have water in the symbol? That’s an inquiry for another article, but think about how water-based technology have been replace by electricity. The technologic waves from water have turned into electrical waves, so that Aquarius is actually more of a Wave Maker than a Water Bearer.
So what can we expect from Pluto in Aquarius? Well, artificial intelligence made a quantum leap while Pluto dipped briefly in this sign last year. AI has the potential to completely transform our society when more jobs are replaced by machines. Aquarius is the sign of the New World Order. I also noticed an increase in large-scale cyber attacks when Pluto edged near Aquarius, the sign of technological networks. These cyber attacks threaten us on an industrial scale by undermining our essential infrastructure like traffic lights, water systems and power grids. I also expect that technology could be increasingly used to control and surveil us, as the planet of power enters the sign of tech.
Technology and social groups can either oppress or liberateus.
Pluto in Aquarius has a higher side to it as well. Usually the more difficult a placement in astrology, the greater the potential within it. Technology and social groups can either oppress or liberate us. Aquarius is about the social contract, creating a new social order that is not bound to the past. It represents a collective effort that accomplishes more than any of us individually can. Pluto is the planet of death, but it is also the planet of regeneration.
On a personal level, as Pluto transits Aquarius over the next twenty years, try participating in groups which help you accomplish more than you alone could. Redirect your ego to serve the collective’s best interest instead of your own. On a broader scale, let’s hold our leaders — both politicians and CEOs — accountable for new technology that serves the social good. We must be vigilant of any innovation which could be used to control and subjugate us, and demand that it augments our freedom instead. AI could replace a worker’s job, or it could free their schedule to pursue other activities. Pluto brings destruction but it also brings healing. The choice is our’s to make.

February's Full Moon in Virgo
Hello friend and hello to this Full Moon in Virgo. You are polishing up and finishing the details on some activity or project this week. The problem is that there is someone or some circumstance blocking you, cuz Saturn is all up in this lunation, and Saturn can be a buzzkill. Overall things should work out, cuz Jupiter is there to help and all the planets are fast and direct. So don’t give up! On the Tuesday the 27th, there’s a small stellium with the Sun, Mercury and Saturn all on the same degree. Get ready for some clarity early that week but expect it to be a bit heavy at the same time. Try not to take things so seriously, cuz you may use a little lightening up.

The February New Moon in Aquarius
Hello Dear Friends and welcome to this stubborn new Moon in aquarius. Aquarius rules groups so anytime you are in a constellation of people, that’s Aquarius. So something new is starting this week that may have your involved with other people. However, Uranus is throwing a spanner into the works because Uranus tends to refuse to compromise with anyone. So group dynamics may get crunchy this week because someone’s forgetting that this is no I in team. This Spring is fabulous for starting something new in your life - like opening a business or writing a book - because all of the planets are fast and direct.

Pluto in Aquarius until 2042! What to Expect
Pluto has just entered Aquarius - the sign of technology, the future, and groups of people. Pluto will dip back in Capricorn one last time in September and November this year, until he fully crosses the threshold into Aquarius and stays there until 2043. Aquarius is traditionally ruled by Saturn - the planet of limitation, and restrictions.
This is why Saturn rules time in astrology - because time is the biggest limitation and restriction on your existence. You only have so many years on this earth, and if you don’t make them most of them, there goes your chance! Capricorn is the side of Saturn which rules the past, while Aquarius is the side of Saturn which rules the future. That’s why Aquarius is associated with technology - emerging technologies break us away from the past and bring us into the future.
Aquarius is a social sign, it represents groups of people. The dark side of Aquarius brings the Greater Malefic’s rulership into sharp relief - just think about all the terrible things that have happened in history from mob violence and mindless tribalism, such as the Salem Witch trials. Though Aquarius has a very high side to it as well - just think about how some of the greatest works in history, like Sistine Chapel or the invention of the internet, could only be created through an organized group effort.
So let’s talk about Pluto. Pluto tends to put our ego on steroids. Think about Pluto as the critical mass event that makes a volcano erupt - it takes thousands of years of slow, simmering geologic activity before one day the Volcano blows its top and transforms the surrounding landscape. Pluto is associated with power, control and can bring about some of the darkest extremes of human behavior. While Pluto traversed Capricorn since 2008, corporations amassed unprecedented amounts of money and power - just think of Jeff Bezos’ Amazon empire and how tech companies control and surveil so much of our lives. These guys make the Robber Barons of the late 19th century look like cream puffs.
So what can we expect from Pluto in Aquarius? Well, artificial intelligence made a quantam leap in development while Pluto dipped briefly in this sign. I also noticed an increase in large scale cyber attacks when Pluto edged near Aquarius - these are cyber attacks which threaten us on an industrial scale by undermining our essential infrastructure like traffic lights, water systems and more. Pluto in Aquarius has a higher side to it as well. Usually the more difficult a placement in astrology, the higher the potential within it. Technology can be used to enslave or liberate us. Aquarius is about the social contract, creating a new social order that is not bound to the past, and making a collective effort which can accomplish more than any of us individually can. Plutonian people can either be manipulative power trippers or profound healers too. So as Pluto transits Aquarius over thee next twenty years, try to find a way for how joining a team or being part of a group can help you to accomplish more than you ever could on your own, and you can tap into the higher side of Pluto.

A Happy New Moon for Thanksgiving 🌒
Follow Luna and Me on IG:

Ok I’m a much bigger fan on the New Moon than the Eclipse we had earlier this month because it’s in the upbeat sign of Sagittarius, and it’s ruler, Jupiter, is strong in it’s traditional sign of Pisces. Now’s the time to start something new that broadens your horizons, like planning a trip, learning something new, or restoring your faith and beliefs. Things may feel dark lately, but there may be a little ray of hope shining through now.
This Thanksgiving, the Great Benefit and Cosmic Benefactor, Jupiter, goes direct as it traverses the final degrees of Pisces, where it won’t return for another 12 years. When a planet crosses the threshold between Pisces and Aries, it’s like hitting the cosmic reset button. Since Jupiter rules globalism, finances, travel, and politics, we may be on the cusp of a new cycle in these areas. Jupiter makes the final leap on December 21st.

Mercury and Venus both enter the uplifting sign of Sagittarius at around the same time. These are two of the most social planets in the zodiac, and Sag is about letting the good times roll. At the same time, we are getting our annual Meteor Shower from the constellation Leo, which aspects Venus and Mercury. Meteor Showers bring messages so expect to hear some news from a friend or about one.
Put down that last glass of whatever you’re chugging, because a retrograde Mars squares Neptune in altered Pisces. This weekend, you may be led adrift somehow, or you may have to slow your rolls considerably. Make sure everyone at the party can get an uber home!

Astrology of the US Midterms 2022 😬
Hey Cosmic Friends!
Luna and I are on the Gram - follow us here: https://www.instagram.com/juliamihasastrology/
This eclipse looks bananas and that’s why I’ve been talking about this eclipse since last year. It’s going be exact right over the US Capitol at 6 AM on Tuesday, the day of the US midterms. It’s taking place in Taurus - which is usually a steady and secure sign - but there’s a lot of unexpected vibes happening in it. Mars is also retrograde and out of bounds which reminds me of an angry hornet that’s buzzing around you while you try to eat your lunch in the park. There’s gonna be some big mad vibes.
Uranus is on the same degree, and it’s nearly at opposition from the Sun, which technically happens on Wednesday. This means Uranus will be furthest from the Sun while being closest to us on planet earth, and this magnifies it’s influence greatly. In the sign of Taurus, it could also bring disruptions to the financial and agricultural sectors. Eclipses can impact us a few weeks before and after their actual date.

Get ready for months of redoing things in your life!

So Mars technically went retrograde on the last day of last month, but boy are we feeling it now! Mars goes retrograde about once every two years, so that’s less frequent than Mercury who goes retro about 3 times per year. Mars represents your actions, and when a planet moves backwards in the sky, it’s a time of reversing what the planet means. So expect having to ‘re do’ lots of stuff over the next several month. In the sign of Gemini - which rules communication, learning and travel - expect to have to take back your words, relearn or rewrite things, and travel may be a big pain in the butt - especially your commute.
Ok, so this eclipse is going to be in doozy. It starts off in the peaceful sign of Taurus, but don’t let that fool you. This is a contentious and dramatic lunation! Mars - the planet of pissy - is retrograde and not following any rules! Uranus - the planet of surprises and sudden ups and downs - is on this eclipse in the same degree. This eclipse is happening on the US Midterm elections, and it begins at 6 AM and shines right on our dang capitol! This is ominous as hell. Big surprises are coming this way, expect feisty vibes, and no one is gonna want to follow the rules! So expect the unexpected in the weeks leading up to and after this bananas eclipse!

Mercury Retrograde is Over! Hallelujah! Julia Mihas Astrology
Hey Cosmic Friends!
Luna and I are on the Gram - follow us here: https://www.instagram.com/juliamihasastrology/
OK, We’re off to a good start this month, because Mercury went direct yesterday, thus ending the last annoying Mercury retrograde this year! This is all happening in the sign of Virgo which means you may have been reviewing your job, your health, and your ability to stay organized.Traveling, communting or teleconferencing into work has been hell lately, though things will run more smoothly soon.
On Thursday the 6th, The planet of intelligence, Mercury, makes a helpful aspect with Pluto, the planet of research and investigation. This a fabulous time for any type of research, or doing thorough and detailed mental work. Mercury is dignified in Virgo, so this would be a great start for a writing project, to learn something new, or investigate something in your life. If you are in therapy this week, be ready to really plumb the depths of your issues!
Warmly,
Julia and Luna

Gemini April 2022 Horoscope under 5 Minutes! Astrology for Short Attention Spans - Julia Mihas
Hi Gemini and Gemini Rising,
It’s your favorite astrologers, Julia and Luna, and we are here to tell you what the hell to expect from the cosmos for April!
Follow us on IG: https://www.instagram.com/juliamihasastrology/
We have one of the big astrological transits happening this year coming up in April. Jupiter - the planet of expansion, luck and growth - will be conjoined Neptune - the planet of the ethereal. This major cycle happens about once every 13 years and it’s taking place in Pisces this month and especially between the 9 and 13th. Pisces is the sign creativity, spirituality and idealism. Traditional astrologers say Jupiter rules Pisces, while moderns ones say that Neptune rules it. Whether you are into traditional or modern astrology, we can all agree that this will be a rather strong influence. Jupiter likes to make things bigger and Neptune can deeply disdain the mundane. So this April, we all may get swept up in some idealistic stupor. There’s some serious Pollyana vibes out there, so make sure you’re grounded before making any big decisions, like investing money, because it’s so easy to be deluded. Pisces is a sign that likes to get altered and Neptune rules substances, so everyone may be partying WAY more than usual, so make sure your phone is charge so that you can call an Uber home. If you are trying to slow your rolls this month, you might find instead that it’s all gas and no breaks.
We have a super social and fun conjunction between Venus and Jupiter during the last week of April. Venus is the planet of love and beauty and both Venus and Jupiter love being in Pisces. This is a very special combo that happens once every three years and three months, and to have it happen iso strongly in Pisces is even more rare. Venus and Jupiter are all about letting the good times roll - so it’s a great time to get out and see friends, go shopping, or chase a few Tinder dates. It’s like the cosmos is writing you a prescription to have some fun, so be good and take your medicine! And we could also use some fun because the US is right in the middle of our Pluto Return. Ahhhhhh!
It’s official! Eclipse season has begun! And I’m totally fascinated by this North Node Eclipse happening Taurus on the 30th. Eclipses are cosmic wildcards in astrology, because they can bring sudden events, unexpected news, and they can mess with our timetables where things we thought would happen in the distant future start demanding your attention now. It’s not a good idea to start new projects during an eclipse, and I’d even wait about a week before and after one before launching anything new. In the sign of Taurus, this eclipse may signal changes to your money, your sense of security, and even your relationships because Taurus is the sign of Venus - the planet of love and money. This eclipse is the strongest we’ve had in a few years, because almost everyone in the sky is in a sign they like being in. Something new is coming your way now, because the North Node is close by, though the end of April will be more a time for contemplation instead of action. I’ll tell you where this is happening in your chart in just a bit.
