Because you know you can buy the coolest F-one fifty or Silverado or Ram or WRX and it's cool but maybe you want to add a wing to that WRX or a lift kit to one of those trucks or put a custom exhaust on a Mustang just to make it sound loud you know people don't always know how to do that when they buy a car And you can buy a car and include that in the loan or pay for it separate and then still buy your brand new car with all this stuff on it

And me and these gentlemen were on death ground for the entire summer And I wouldn't trade that summer for any experience in my life But these guys right here we became bonded brothers through that experience But yeah the love that I have for these guys that developed over that time we spent together just having each other's backs and we have nowhere to go but forward There's a bond we'll share till the end

..back when I used to sell cars I used to always tell people that were frustrated because they couldn't find that exact right color. They found a few that they liked, and It's always great when you can get the exact color you want, and don't get me wrong I would do the same thing. I want the color I want and that's it, but if you had an alternative a second choice I would just tell folks you only see it when you're walking up to the car or when you turn to look at it and check it out when you walk away. Almost all of your time is on the inside of the car. My man, I never used that one, dang yeah, exactly, but never use that one I appreciate that..

It's amazing how easy it is when you've got the mindset for it you know having techs that enjoy it that just aren't like Oh that's aftermarket crap You know you know you work on a clean car usually it's a new car or relatively new Nothing's rusted I mean easy People just throw in throw in hundred dollar bills at you Absolutely Everybody appreciates the you know the individualism of their car And it's not you know just young people older people you know F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F go down the road and it's got the silver F-one fifty mud flaps of the chrome F-one fifty mud flaps on it and it's got the hood scoop on it and it's got the fender flares and it don't come like that from the factory So yeah all about the individualism

Big news for car dealerships in Florida, as Governor Ron DeSantis has signed a new law (HB 637) that could change the way you buy your next vehicle. This new law, which takes effect from July 1, prohibits most direct-to-consumer car sales, favoring traditional dealerships over a more direct buying experience. HB 637 is seen as a win for Florida's car dealers, securing their place in the car-selling market. However, critics argue it could disrupt the business model of companies like Tesla, who sell their vehicles online and through their own retail locations. But it's not all bad news for these newer manufacturers. Lobbyists have managed to add language to the bill that keeps Tesla galleries open and allows newer manufacturers to hold a franchise dealer license for direct sales of electric vehicles. But this privilege doesn't extend to traditional car makers like GM, Ford, Honda, and Toyota. The bill also introduces several regulations for manufacturers and dealers. For instance, manufacturers can't reserve or incentivize the sale or lease of vehicles, and they can't require dealers to set vehicle prices at recommended rates. Supporters of the bill, including Dave Ramba, a lobbyist for the Florida Automobile Dealers Association, argue that it will promote competition among dealers, leading to better prices and services for consumers. On the other hand, some economists suggest that allowing more direct sales could lead to lower prices for consumers. Familiarizing yourself with your customers extended warranty will help you understand the level of coverage they have as well as being able to better inform your customer in the event something is not eligible for coverage.

Tired of calling extended warranties and not getting any or only getting a little bit of time for Diagnosis? We get it. Watch this video and learn the tips and tricks to getting more diag time when calling an Extended Service Contract Company.

Extended warranties are what I like to consider them a necessary evil. I know everyone hates to deal with them, and it takes time out of your day to call in and you have to sometimes sit on hold for long periods of time, and sad to say but that is, unfortunately, all part of the gig. The thing is, if you set yourself up for success, make sure you have as much information as possible. Extended warranties are going to ask you about the 3-C's (Concern, Cause & Correction). If you have all this info along with mileage and know if it was towed or driven in, you have a higher chance of getting the claim approved on the first call. Now granted if you have a grocery list or plan on shooting the parts cannon at the vehicle, be prepared for something to either be declined or an inspector to be sent out. The biggest thing I could suggest is to also know what kind of coverage your customer has, don't make it a guessing game. educate yourself on the coverage the customer has and at the same time, educate the customer. This will make it easier when you offer an explanation of the coverage to the customer (which they elected) and then if something is not covered, it will be validated by what you explained to the customer. All in all, be prepared, have as much info as possible, and best of luck.

One of the most important things you can do as a customer when owning your vehicle is to save your maintenance records. No matter if you take your vehicle to the dealership for maintenance or an independent repair facility, saving the maintenance records can be very helpful when it comes to getting coverage for a major repair while the vehicle is still under factory warranty or under an extended warranty. What is a service record? What do you mean when you say receipt? A service record is an invoice copy of your repairs or maintenance that you get done at a dealership or an independent repair facility. A receipt is what we call the paper you receive when you check out from the auto parts store. basically the same thing but referred to differently. If you are not dedicated to a particular repair shop or quick lube then you definitely must save your records so that way if you encounter a major repair you will be prepared when the time comes.

Engine Repair? Why do you need maintenance records? These maintenance records are your PROOF that you as the owner of the vehicle have been and are continuing to properly maintain your vehicle as per the recommendations of the vehicle manufacturer. The shop will not just take your word for it, and without this information, you will find that it will be very hard to get a warranty claim authorized for you. So do your part.. save your records.

Something that really bugs me is advisors struggling to have a conversation on the phone with customers, warranties, and other businesses. Managers in the industry need to take better initiative in training the advisors that are new and keeping up with continued education, but also Service Advisors, you need to want to learn more. The more you know the better you will be. You will have more confidence in your selling ability and feel better about the conversation you have. #ServiceAdvisors #KnowledgeIsPower

Why Do General Managers Do This ??!?!!? Why is it if a customer complains and under normal standings, the advisor respectfully tells the customer "NO", then the customer goes to the service manager and they also say "NO", that the customer then goes to the General Manager who in my personal experience almost always says "YES". WHY, WHY, WHY??? Are you wanting to build a relationship with the customer who is going to slam you on a google review and a manufacturer survey? No That is NOT something You want to do. Avoid these customers all together because believe it or not they are NOT customers. At least they are not the t ype of customers that you want to have at your shop.

As we are all getting ready for the wonderful Christmas Holiday, one thing we can not forget about is the crazy week of Christmas Chaos. This is the week that we all know to be the typical time for the "Wait to Last Minute" customers, the "I am Leaving Tomorrow and I Need It Now" customers and of course my personal favorite, "No, I Didn't Have An Appointment, but I Need My Car Fixed Today" customers.
