Tseriadun State Recreation Site is a real hidden gem in Port Orford, Oregon. It is a prime dog walking location and is a favorite hunting ground for very nice agates. It would have been difficult to find a better day to play on the Umpqua River and to try to coax an elusive salmon into the boat. I joined friends for a morning trip on a guide boat in Winchester Bay, Oregon, and actually managed to bring home a fairly decent sized salmon. Needless to say, part of the fish ended up on our pellet grill and made for a fantastic dinner. After consuming a large Girl Scout Thin Mint Blizzard from DQ I stopped at this beautiful viewpoint at Face Rock in Bandon, Oregon. If you look carefully you can see the image of a face in the large rock looking upwards to the right. I joined friends Mark and Nancy at Floras Lake to watch and record Mark on his Kite board. Floras Lake, which is located near Denmark, Oregon, is one of several very popular locations for kite surfing along the Oregon coast. I recorded Mark's fast runs on the lake with very gusty morning wind blowing from the NE and enjoyed watching his high flying air-time. I used a Canon Vixia HF G50 Camcorder to record the activity and processed the video with CyberLink PowerDirector 365.

I took the new Canon Vixia HF G50 4K camcorder out for a second trial run today and tried to make a few adjustments that would give me some improvement. Small steps!! I took my new Canon camcorder out to play again today, and with old shaky hands holding on for dear life, made another short video of some of the beautiful sights around Port Orford, OR. Maybe a little less morning coffee will solve the quaking hands issue....who knows? Paradise Point is part of Oregon's State Recreation Site system and is a popular beach for walking, fishing and agate hunting. I made the 4K clips with a Canon Vixia HF G50 camcorder and processed the resulting video with CyberLink PowerDirector.

This is my first attempt at making a time lapse video with my new Canon Vixia HF G50 4K camcorder. I had a few issues with long range exposure over water but cropped the final video clips to reduce the flicker. I learned a lot from this effort and will improve this process on the next time lapse....I hope! This video was made at Battle Rock Park in Port Orford, OR and consisted of three 20 second clips for 20 minutes recording time each. Processed in CyberLink PowerDirector
