Years ago, John Wicks and Debbi Peterson (The Bangles) were guests on Breakfast w/ The Beatles. A listener requested they perform "The Night Before". The DJ's voice is a bit low but once the music begins, John and Debbi can be heard just fine.

On the first birthday after John Wicks' passing, friend and former band mate Jude Cole performs The Records' classic, "Starry Eyes".

On the first Feb 28 after the passing of John Wicks, Debbi Peterson of The Bangles performs "Goin' Down to Liverpool" in his honor.

On the February 28 immediately after his passing, friends got together to celebrate the life of John Wicks. Band mate Jude Cole performed The Records' classic "Hearts In Her Eyes" in his honor.

On the first February 28 after the passing of John Wicks, Al Stewart shares a story about how they met before performing on of his mega-hits, "Year of the Cat".

Years ago, John Wicks sent me some things for "safe keeping". While rummaging through some old boxes, I found this footage from around 2009. John and Paul Collins decided to team up and hit the house show circuit. Said shows included performances at several record stores and clubs as well. This footage is from a show at Record Collector in NJ. The banter between the two made it evident just how much they enjoyed performing together. This is part 1 of 3 parts.

John and Debbi wrote several songs before John's passing. This is one of my favorites. Performed at McCabes in Santa Monica.

Shortly after the death of The Records' bass player Phil Brown, John Wicks wrote "Chasing Angels" as a tribute to his good friend. Here, John and Debbi Peterson of The Bangles perform it at McCabes in Santa Monica.

On October 8, 2015, Paul Rock and the Wild Honey Orchestra organized a benefit concert for John Wicks of The Records. Earlier in the year, Wicks had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The proceeds of the benefit are intended to help The Records' lead singer and main songwriter deal with his unexpected and exorbitant medical expenses. Many of John Wicks' friends performed that evening including Al Stewart, Denny Laine (Paul McCartney & Wings, Moody Blues), Carla Olson, Peter Case (The Plimsouls), Peter Asher (Peter & Gordon), The Bangles, The Records and more. I have captured as much as much of the show as possible. All footage was taken with a basic iPad. I hope you enjoy the results. He had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in the summer of this year. Many of John's friends performed at the Teragram Ballroom show as well, all to help John with the unexpected medical costs. Others how performed on the same bill include Al Stewart, Denny Laine, Peter Asher, Peter Case, The Bangles, Jaime Salko, Carla Olson, The Kennedys and more.
