Combining the fruit of the Spirit by using patience in a non-patient world and our verbal explanation when people notice. She Makes Her Husband Famous This is a short video on Proverbs 31, the virtuous woman. I zero in on verse 23 about her husband being known in the gates. An Unlikely Evangelist Taken from Mark 5:1-20 we look at one of the first evangelists recorded in the Gospels. It is the demoniac that Jesus delivered and put in his right mind. When wanting to follow the Lord he was told instead to go back to his own family and friends and tell them what great things the Lord had done for him. He then went through the region of ten cities testifying. With no formal training or special gifting this man was more than willing to share what happened. How much more shall we do the same? Shipwrecked on Malta - Arrival at Rome As promised by the Lord through Paul everyone makes it to shore alive. Paul ministers to the people of Malta and prays for many healings. The island people of Malta showed them much kindness and gave provisions for the ship’s refugees. After three months on the island they boarded a ship that had wintered there and went first to Syracuse working their way toward Rome. Paul was met with the brethren at Three Inns. Once in Rome Julius the centurion turned the prisoners over to the captain of the guard while Paul was permitted to dwell by himself under house arrest. Shortly after Paul meets with the Jewish leaders and explains his plight. Paul also testified to the kingdom of God and dwelt two years in his own rented house preaching and teaching. Paul’s Voyage to Rome Begins Paul is handed over to Julius, a centurion, who would conduct Paul and other prisoners to Rome. Paul had found favor with Julius. They found a ship bound for Italy and started sail first stopping at Fair Havens. It was recommended they continue to sail against Paul’s advice hoping to reach Phoenix and harbor there for the winter. They soon ran into a huge storm that left them tempest tossed for many days. Barely escaping with their lives they finally had to swim to safety after the ship broke up because of the violence of the waves. Recorded on Apr 6 , 2022 Running Time: 27 Minutes.

Paul Testifies Before King Agrippa Episode 47 - After a short introduction Paul begins his testimony with his pre-conversion life growing up as a Jew of all Jews. He gives several statements about the resurrection as he tells of his persecution against the Christians. Paul now moves into his conversion on the road to Damascus and ends with a description of his calling to preach the Gospel explaining some main points. Festus interrupts, charging that Paul is mad and out of his mind. But Paul calmly explains his discourse has truth and reason. He then challenges King Agrippa to believe. At this point the meeting is adjourned with Agrippa and Festus discussing Paul could have been set free had he not appealed to Caesar. Recorded on March 14 , 2022 Running Time 45 Minutes.

For I am Tormented in This Flame Episode 1 in a series on the doctrine of Hell. Our Text is Luke 16:19-31. The rich man and Lazarus whom many consider not to be a parable but it is in parable form. This story was for the benefit of the Pharisees who had just derided Jesus after he gave a previous lesson on, “you cannot serve God and Mammon”. The Pharisees who were lovers of money and were rich, thought God despised this poor beggar Lazarus who would be considered unclean. They are taught to the contrary. Our focus is the situation of the rich man as he suffers in the torment part of Hades. We look at his cognitive, physical, and spiritual condition. I conclude with a warning and short Gospel account. Paul Appeals to Caesar Festus takes over and has a meeting with the Jews. The Jews come down to Caesarea for a hearing accusing Paul. Festus, wanting to do the Jews a favor, tries to convince Paul to go up to Jerusalem for a trial. On that request Paul appeals to Caesar and is granted his request. Upon awaiting for the process Paul is examined before King Agrippa who happens to come to town. Festus confides in Agrippa to specify official charges to bring against Paul in his appeal seeing it is not clear exactly what he has done wrong. Recorded on March 7, 2022 Running Time 24 Minutes.

Keep It Simple Preacher! Topical Teaching Episode 23 as requested to discuss the content of a Gospel presentation, and in particular, for street preaching. Using multiple texts we will look at what the Bible has for a straight forward Gospel message. Can there be such a thing as a “too meaty” message for the unbeliever? When I am street preaching I keep two goals in mind; tell them why they need salvation and how to obtain it. Within that goal is a lot of information about the person and work of Jesus Christ. What is Baptism For the Dead? Episode 22 in a Topical Teaching Category teaching on what I believe to be the correct interpretation of 1 Cor 15:29 which talks about being baptized for the dead. Most commentaries think it is talking about a pagan ritual or a practice used by modern-day cults. You will have to watch or listen to the episode to find out what I think it is. A clue is that Paul gives an argument like an attorney as to the effects and the implications as to no resurrection, and in turn of Christ not having risen from the dead. I Gave At The Office Episode 77 - A social stereotype saying meaning; “I don’t want any solicitation”. This was also a man’s response when given a Gospel tract in Seattle several years ago. Evangelist Bob quipped back, “you gave nothing, Christ gave it all at the cross”. After exploring this testimonial we dive into the offices of Prophet, Priest, and King all of which Jesus fulfilled. Paul’s Defense Before Felix Episode 45 - The Jews come down to Caesarea with great accusations against Paul having a “hired gun” named Tertullus. After their false testimony before Felix Paul has his turn to state his case. Paul, as he refutes the charges, takes opportunity and testifies to the Gospel during his discourse. Felix holds over his decision until Lysias the commander comes down. Meanwhile as he stalls Felix hopes that Paul will bribe him. Instead Paul preaches his need for Christ bringing Felix under great conviction. Felix wanting to do the Jews a favor left Paul bound for two years until he was replaced by Porcius Festus. Paul’s Testimony Divides The Council Episode 44 - After His arrest Paul is brought before the Jewish Council. He perceives that one part is Pharisees and one part is Sadducees. He claims he is being held for believing in the resurrection of the dead. This in turn divided the council with such an uproar Paul is brought back under guard to the barracks. The next day a plot to kill Paul was revealed to his young nephew, who in turn, told the authorities. They escorted Paul by night with a large entourage to Felix in Caesarea along with a letter from the Roman commander. Paul arrives safely and is held in Herod’s’ Praetorium until his accusers come down for a trial. Recorded on Feb 24, 2022. Running time: 36 minutes

Even The Lone Ranger Had Tonto Episode 76 – This episode discusses the different aspects to street preaching using the notorious character “The Lone Ranger” as a comparison suggesting that most street preachers have a maverick mentality when it comes to preaching and an anti-social attitude toward the local church. Unworthy Manner Conduct at the Lord’s Supper. This is taken from 1 Cor 11:17-34 where Paul rebukes the Corinthian believers on how they come together to partake of the Lord’s supper, also referred to as communion, or the Lord’s table. This sacrament to proclaim the Lord’s death was not honored in that people were mishandling how they ate and drank. Because of this it was bringing God’s judgment and many were sick and even dying. Paul re-institutes the proper meaning and practice which applies to us today although I question how many churches are interpreting this passage correctly. Episode 43 - After being rescued from the violent mob by Roman soldiers Paul preaches to the crowd from the stairs. As he recounts his conversion testimony they are all “ears” until he gets to the phrase “I will send you to the Gentiles”. Once again this stirs up the crowds and Paul is brought into the Roman soldiers barracks to be examined under scourging. Paul’s Roman citizenship saves him from such a fate; Paul being born a citizen. Recorded on Feb 14, 2022. Paul Arrested in Jerusalem Episode 42 - One the road again Paul and his companions stopping at several cities on the way to Jerusalem. The Holy Spirit testifies in every city warning Paul not to go to Jerusalem. A notorious stop at the home of Philip the Evangelist where Agabus, a prophet, shows through the Spirit that Paul will be bound in Jerusalem. Paul is not persuaded but continues his journey. When arriving he meets with James and the leaders of the Church. Despite their suggestions, Paul is arrested in the temple, and falsely charged, however this turns out to be a great occasion for testimony of the Gospel. Recorded on Feb 2, 2022. As a leader you may be called upon to take the blame for others, sacrifice for others, have faith for others, and provide for others as we will see in this lesson. Looking to the leaders in Scripture we can follow suit as good stewards of our respective ministries. Examples include: Jesus, Peter, Paul, and other disciples.
