Texas Ranchers say ‘Forever Chemicals’ in Waste-Based Fertilizers Ruined their Land
Ranchers in Johnson County Texas say their cattle, fish and horses are dying and getting sick because of a fertilizer spread on nearby farmland.
The fertilizer maker says its products are safe, and that the government supports using it as a valuable practice that recycles nutrients to farmland.
The fertilizer is made from treated human waste from the city of Fort Worth.
The company that makes the fertilizer says its products meet government standards.
County officials have launched a criminal investigation, and ranchers are suing, saying runoff from the fertilizer has made their land useless.
Rancher Tony Coleman’s cattle roam 300 acres just outside Grandview. He said what was found on his land has turned it toxic.
“We are nervous, and we are scared,” he told WFAA. (See Source #3 below.)
Coleman said his land is contaminated and his livestock and fish are dying because of the product his neighbor used to fertilize his crops.
“You have your whole livelihood taken from you,” Coleman said.
He said he’s had 10 cows, two horses and five ponds full of fish die.
Late last year, he contacted Johnson County Constable Detective Dana Ames. She headed out to the ranch to check it out.
Ames said she found what she later learned were piles of fertilizer made from biosolids, which come from human waste and are full of what researchers call PFAS, also known as “forever chemicals.”
“It’s chemicals that are manmade,” Ames said. “It’s in the sewage sludge. It’s in the biosolids.”
For a year, Detective Ames partnered with scientists and experts to try to figure out how toxic manmade chemicals ended up on ranchland in rural Texas.
She recently presented her findings to the Johnson County Commissioners Court.
“The contamination that has occurred on our victims’ properties is pervasive,” she told commissioners in her presentation.
According to multiple studies and the Environmental Protection Agency, all humans consume PFAS chemicals, which are used to make all sorts of products including shampoo, carpet, frying pans and even makeup. The chemicals end up in our human waste, which is then sent to a wastewater treatment facility. During the treatment, biosolids are created.
Those biosolids, also called sewage sludge, can be used to make fertilizer, which is what a company called Synagro does.
This should be a wake up sign, if people are consuming so much “Forever Chemicals” that their wastes can kill fish and animals, maybe we should have some true “INDEPENDENT” NON-FDA, NON-EPA scientists look into our Foods.
We know the FDA isn’t going to do sh*t but promote those corporations placing these chemicals in their foods.
The EPA is completely useless and says “we continue to support land application of biosolids as a valuable practice that recycles nutrients to farmland and has not suggested at this time that PFAS in biosolids requires any changes to current biosolids management practices.”
The people have absolutely NO protection from any 3 letter agencies.
How can they support dumping Forever Chemicals on land?
Now Tony Coleman and 4 other ranchers may have to abandon their land and euthanize their animals and the EPA says that it is normal for humans to consume it.
Detective Ames said Eurofins Lancaster Laboratory tested the tissue of the cows, fish and horses that died on Coleman’s ranch. She said they found extremely high levels of PFAS in animal tissue.
Tests also found it in the well water in Johnson County. Eurofins is a TCEQ state approved certified lab.
If Eurofins can find this, so can the EPA – useless f*ckers.
“The well water, all the animal tissues tested 100-percent contaminated,” Ames said. “We had 100 percent contamination on these properties.”
What exactly is PFAS?
PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are human-made chemicals that don’t break down easily.
That’s because they are used to make products that resist grease, oil, stains, heat, and water.
PFAS chemicals can be found in numerous substances like cleaning products, waxes, paints, food packaging, fire-fighting foams, and more.
I bet PFAS is found in our Food, 100%. If our sh*t is becoming toxic enough to kill ponds of fish, grassland and animals, maybe some further investigation is required and not that b.s. from the EPA “the EPA does not suggest at this time that PFAS in biosolids requires any changes to current biosolids management practices.”
Our world is being poisoned and our agencies that are supposedly funded by tax payer money says ‘nothing to see here, it’s only 5 ranchers so far.’
When is enough, enough?

10Lb Big Walleye Caught at the Spillway on October 21, 2022 - by my fishing Bud -- Jim Daily
A nice surprise catch yesterday morning at Johnson Lake Inlet, a Master Angler Walleye over 30 inches.
Date: October 21, 2022
Location: Johnson Lake Inlet
Time: @AM-el5qt
Caught with Minnow.
This was caught by Jim Daily. I have been fishing with a man for 18 years straight at this particular spot and he has seined his own bait for over 60 consecutive years and is considered one of the very best live bait fisherman around. He taught me well and I am very grateful to call him one of my very best friends.
Back in 2003 or 2004 I saw this guy at the lake catching one fish after another when no one else was catching anything. So after a week or two just observing him, I had to go ask what he was doing so different. We hit it off, became very good friends and he taught me how to fish his way.
Been fishing with him 2 to 3 times a week for 18 consecutive years now.
It was the biggest Walleye either one of us had caught here.
This was the very first day of fishing all year where I didn't catch a fish, so I just happened to walk over to where Jim was fishing and recorded him, since I could not catch anything today.
I thought this fish was big until I saw the State Record for Tennesse in 1961 was 25 lbs.
A 30 inch Walleye will average 10 to 12 pounds.
A 30 inch walleye will be between 16 to 25 years old. It depends on their environment, big lake, plenty of food, less stress will allow them to grow faster. Walleye reach maturity around year three. Walleye will grow between 0.5 and 1 inch per year. Walleye also grow slower in northern latitudes where colder climates decrease their metabolism. This results in 30 inch walleye that are older than average.
This fish could have been up to 30 years old, even if it grew super-fast it is at least 16 years old.
Thanks for visiting!

WIPER - Hybrid Bass - Johnson Lake Inlet on August 11, 2022
This was Wiper #13 of the day and the very last one as I told myself I was leaving the one before which was a good 8 to 9lbs, then I made another cast and this one hit. This was about 10AM and I began fishing around 6:30 or so and if I ever get all the videos edited you will see it was Non-Stop Action from the second cast.
I have been fishing in this spot at Johnson Lake Inlet / Spillway for 17 years with my good friend Jim Daily who taught me how to fish it as he was catching fish when no one else could and showed me his style with live bait using light weight egg sinkers, swivels, small snelled hooks and light line with a solid brand name rod.
Over the years we have learned where the fish sit to ambush bait so we cast accordingly with the appropriate weight to find the sweet spot, always have to adjust weight as the current changes.
For this Wiper I was using a very small #10 snelled hook, baited with a shad and I believe I was using 1/2 ounce weight, I was using only an 1/8th a couple days before and catching the but the water seemed a bit faster today so I adjusted to a quarter and then moved up to a half ounce and that was even better.
I didn't get a weight or length on this fish, I didn't have the ruler with me, but I know it was well over 27 inches. The longest one I have caught was 31 1/4 at Elwood Reservoir and this one long but not very wide or it could of weighed a lot. The fish was worn out and so was I so I quickly released it to live another day or two.
Since this was my 16th fish - 13 wipers as big white bass and two flathead, my GoPro of course on the last fish began beeping as hard drive space was low. It did shut off but thankfully somehow I got it going long enough to see the fish and take a couple quick pictures.
The GoPro doesn't do justice on the true size of this fish. Even the 16 inch white bass looked small when I was viewing.
I am still learning the editing process, I tried to put all of the fishing clips on a timeline on Davinci 18 and it ended up being over 49GB, I have some learning to do.
Notice how far I had to walk down to land this one. Not the biggest I've caught by far, but definitely is in the top 10 for all time fighters.

As always I fish with my good friend Jim Daily (who caught this cat) from Kearney Nebraska who is one of the best live bait live fisherman for fishing in fast water for Wipers, Bass, Crappie and Catfish. This was after we fished the fast water as the heat began to fry our butts, we found some shelter in the shade to fish.
Caught with small shad.

MY 3RD BIGGEST CHANNEL CATFISH I HAVE EVER CAUGHT -- 23LBS - 8 OZ
September 16, 2021
I didn't have the GoPro on because there was a chance of rain early and it was cold, so left it in truck. But the day ended up being warm and sunny, go figure.
Caught the same place I usually fish twice a week -- Johnson Lake Inlet, South of Lexington, NE. Caught on Rubber Shad. Usually use live shad but the bigger ones were not coming in the inlet.
