Chicago Bears Winners & Losers From NFL Preseason Week 1 Win vs. Chiefs
Chicago Bears winners & losers after their NFL Preseason Week 1 win over the Kansas City Chiefs features players like rookie Trestan Ebner, who made a positive impact on the Bears’ offense rushing for 31 yards in the Bears’ win! Ebner also caught a touchdown pass and had a nice kickoff return. How outplayed 2nd-year RB Khalil Herbert who had 2 drops and only 20 yards rushing on 7 carries. Jaquan Brisker might be the biggest Chicago Bears preseason winner after tallying 4 tackles, a tackle for loss and a pass breakup which was almost an interception. The rookie safety looks like the real deal for Da Bears.
Soldier Field might be the biggest loser after the Bears first preseason game. The field looked to be in terrible condition with dirt and holes everywhere. NFLPA President JC Tretter even tweeted out that it was embarrassing that the Bears field passed the thresholds of allowing a game to be played. Chicago Bears rumors on moving to Arlington Heights are already running rampant, this will not slow down that speculation. Bears UDFA LB Jack Sanborn was another standout during the preseason opener as he had an interception, fumble recovery and led Chicago with 7 tackles. He’s put himself in good position to make the Bears 53-man roster. WR Tajae Sharpe made 2 highlight-reel catches, including a 1 handed snag from Justin Fields up the sideline. The Bears are looking for wide receivers to step up, and he did that today. Bears rookie punter Trenton Gill deserves a quick shout-out for booming several punts and pinning the Chiefs back inside the 15 on numerous occasions.

Chicago Bears Rumors are buzzing as the Bears preseason opener looms on Saturday against the Chiefs. Justin Fields and the Bears offense is heating up as Fields has had a really strong week at practice despite several key WRs being injured. Speaking of being thin at wide receiver, could the Bears trade for Steelers’ WR Chase Claypool? The Steelers extended Diontae Johnson and rookie George Pickens is having a big training camp, could that mean Claypool is on the NFL trade block? Bears Now host Harrison Graham brings you today’s Chicago Bears news & rumors from Bears training camp at Halas Hall.
Ian Rapoport joined ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ to provide an update on Roquan Smith’s contract status. Roquan Smith trade rumors have been circulating ever since he requested a trade and those ramped up when Ryan Poles and the Bears took him off the PUP List before today’s training camp practice. Matt Eberflus says he expects all healthy players to practice and that the Bears media would “have to ask him” why he isn’t. Will Roquan get traded or will Chicago sign him to a long-term contract extension.

Today’s Bears Training Camp practice was a good one for QB Justin Fields as he arguably had his best practice yet. Fields was working with several backup WRs as the Bears Injury Report was loaded with 21 players missing practice including 5 wide receivers. However, Fields made several big-time throws to Equanimeous St. Brown, Darnell Mooney and today’s Bears camp standout - Isaiah Coulter. Coulter made several big plays and took advantage of players like Byron Pringle and N’Keal Harry being OUT. Could Coulter fight for a roster spot. Robert Quinn spoke to the media after practice and discussed Roquan Smith trade rumors. Quinn believes that Smith should get a contract, but also understands Ryan Poles’ side of it and said that the NFL “is a business”.

Chicago Bears News: Justin Fields BALLS OUT At Training Camp + Latest Teven Jenkins Rumors
Another Chicago Bears training camp practice is in the books as Matt Eberflus and Da Bears completed their 3rd padded practice after an off day on Thursday. Bears Now host Harrison Graham gets you caught up on the latest Chicago Bears news & rumors from today’s practice at Halas Hall.
- Justin Fields SHINES at today’s Bears training camp practice as he was reportedly sharp and on time with most of his throws. Outside of a lone miss to Equanimeous St. Brown and 1 interception, this was Fields’ best practice yet as he’s put together 2 solid workouts in a row after a poor showing earlier this week. Bears’ offensive coordinator Luke Getsy praised Fields’ work ethic and competitiveness after practice and is clearly excited about the young QB.
- Latest Teven Jenkins Injury Rumors: Jenkins missed his 7th straight practice with an “undisclosed injury”, but Getsy remains excited and optimistic about the 2nd-year offensive tackle. Getsy said that Jenkins has been “attentive” and that he’s “all in”. He added that once he “gets through this deal” he’ll be ready to compete for a starting role at LT or RT. The problem is that no one knows what “this deal” is or how long it will last. Is Jenkins injured? Does he want to get traded? Will he be back soon? Harrison continues to investigate.
- Bears Injury Updates: OT Julien Davenport appeared to leave today’s practice with some sort of injury, but the Bears didn’t announce any injuries today. Several notable players were absent from practice beyond Teven Jenkins, Lucas Patrick and Thomas Graham Jr. Kyler Gordon, Robert Quinn, Khyiris Tonga, Kindle Vildor, Duke Shelley, CJ Avery, Dante Pettis, and James O’Shaughnessy all didn’t practice today. Chase Allen and Angelo Blackson returned to practice after missing some time.
- Bears workout 4 linebackers: Francis Bernard, Emmanuel Ellerbee, Jordan Evans and DeMarquis Gates. Chicago Bears rumors on potentially signing a LB have been circulating with Roquan Smith holding out and the Bears being thin there in general. Chicago has worked out 9 players in total this week and signed 2 players earlier today in CB Devontae Harris and DL Trevon Coley.

Bears Training Camp News & Rumors On Justin Fields, Equanimeous St. Brown & Teven Jenkins
Chicago Bears News & Rumors from today’s Bears training camp practice at Halas Hall:
- Justin Fields and the Bears offense bounced back after a rough practice on Tuesday. Bears’ head coach Matt Eberflus said the Bears cleaned up penalties and overall execution in situational drills. Bears Now host Harrison Graham is pleased by the progress with Fields as the next step is finding more consistency.
- Equanimeous St. Brown buzz: St. Brown reportedly had his strongest practice yet as Fields specifically named him as a “weapon” in Luke Getsy’s offense. Can St. Brown be a starting WR for Da Bears? His size and speed combination makes him an intriguing player to watch.
- Teven Jenkins trade drama continues as Eberflus says he’s still “working with the trainers”. Another report has dropped around a potential Jenkins trade as Peggy Kusinski of ESPN Radio in Chicago reports that the Bears are “actively” trying to trade Jenkins as she even tagged him in the post. Jenkins missed his 6th straight practice and things are getting awkward at Bears training camp at this point.
- Bears vs. Chiefs Preseason Week 1: Matt Eberflus told reporters today that Justin Fields and other Bears starters will play a “good amount” in the preseason opener against Kansas City. Fields agrees with that decision by saying it’ll offer “more reps” and that it will be nice to play against a “different defense.” Chicago visits Kansas City on August 13th.

What’s Going On With Teven Jenkins? Chicago Bears Trade Rumors & Theories
Teven Jenkins trade rumors and theories continue to surface as 2022 Chicago Bears Training Camp rolls along. Jenkins has missed the Bears last 5 practices heading into today’s practice at Halas Hall. Following Ian Rapoport’s report that the Bears are receiving trade calls on Jenkins, Chicago Bears trade rumors have been heating up. How did the 2021 2nd round pick go from a potential cornerstone offensive tackle to possibly out of the picture so fast? Will the Bears trade Jenkins before Week 1. Bears Now host Harrison Graham covers the latest Chicago Bears trade rumors on Teven Jenkins & some of the working theories on what’s going on with the offensive tackle.
In the 2021 NFL Draft the Chicago Bears traded up for Oklahoma State OT Teven Jenkins to draft him #39 overall in Round 2. Since then, it’s been a rocky road for Jenkins. He had back surgery last August and only played in 6 games as a rookie. Follow Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace’s firings, the Bears’ new regime of Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus moved Jenkins back to right tackle. After being demoted to the 2nd string offensive line during the offseason, Jenkins has now missed 5 straight training camp practices. Eberflus claims Jenkins is “working with the trainers” and is “day-to-day” but hasn’t offered a further explanation on a potential injury.
If Teven Jenkins is traded we will cover it so SUBSCRIBE today: http://rumble.com/BearsNow
How we got to this point with Teven Jenkins:
- 2021 Back Surgery
- Lack of continuity between Jenkins & the new Bears regime
- Positional shuffling: switching between LT & RT
- Jenkins not buying in and committing to the Bears coaching staff
BEARS FANS! Answer these questions down below in the comments:
- Do you WANT Teven Jenkins to get traded? Type ‘Y’ for Yes, Type ‘N’ for No
- Would you trade Teven Jenkins for a 4th round pick? Type ‘T’ for Trade, Type ‘K’ for Keep

Chicago Bears Training Camp Winners & Losers From 1st Week Of Practices At Halas Hall
Week 1 of Chicago Bears Training Camp is in the books as the Bears have an off day today at Halas Hall. On today’s show, Bears Now host Harrison Graham takes a look at some Chicago Bears training camp winners & losers from the first week of practices. Which players stood out and which players struggled?
Justin Fields had a strong first week of training camp for the Chicago Bears as he made several big-time throws, especially down the field. Fields has built good chemistry with WR Darnell Mooney and TE Cole Kmet. The trio of players are all Bears training camp winners so far. Harrison Graham also thought that rookies Kyler Gordon, Velus Jones Jr. & Jaquan Brisker performed well also. Jones has displayed elite speed and good route running while the pair of DBs have stood out as well. Gordon has gotten beaten a few times, but his willingness to play outside CB and nickel and perform well at both spots has led to Bears head coach Matt Eberflus and defensive coordinator Alan Williams speak highly of him. Jaquan Brisker has left his mark early as well by helping create turnovers.

With Chicago Bears training camp winners, there are unfortunately some Bears training camp losers as well. Lucas Patrick suffered a hand injury that’s going to leave him out around 6 weeks, which leaves the Bears’ center position in flux between now and Week 1. Sam Mustipher and rookie Doug Kramer have both gotten reps there. Teven Jenkins is also a Bears training camp loser as he was still with the 2nd string OL during the first practice and hasn’t been out there since as Matt Eberflus said that Jenkins is “working through something” with the Bears trainers. WR Dante Pettis hasn’t stood out at all, which leaves him in a tough spot trying to earn a spot on the Bears’ 53-man roster.
Chicago Bears Training Camp Winners:
- Justin Fields, QB
- Rookies:
- Velus Jones Jr., WR
- Kyler Gordon, CB
- Jaquan Brisker, S
- Darnell Mooney, WR
- Cole Kmet, TE
Chicago Bears Training Camp Losers:
- Lucas Patrick, C (hand injury - Report: Out 6 weeks)
- Teven Jenkins, OT
