Avatar: The Last Airbender is heading to Netflix later this week in a live-action series. It will be 8 action-packed episodes that have me very concerned. The last time Aang was in a movie, it was that awful M. Night Shyamalan film. Here's hoping for the best but a big part of me prefers Hollywood stop touching these great properties. #avatar #netflix

Netflix Lift Movie Review - Kevin Hart stars in Lift, a new Netflix exclusive, that is currently trending on the platform. I'm not really sure why. Are people that desperate for a heist film? Perhaps it's just something to put on in the background. I kind of agree with that second idea. Lift is a very generic heist film with a group of characters that are about as stock as you can get. I list of far better heist movies to check out instead of wasting your time with this.

Movie critic and filmmaker, Chris Stuckmann, came out with a video on Madame Web. He explained that he wasn't going to bash the movie because there was a lot of studio interference. This has become a new trend in the movie critic space. Being nice to movies by complimenting the hard work involved before tearing into the film. It's a sort of lazy catch-all so you can give a useless compliment to not look so mean right afterward. I find the entire approach very fake and I don't think some of these guys would do this if they didn't think it would hurt their professional careers.

The Sony Spider-Man Universe might be the dumbest thing to ever hit cinemas. Madame Web is just the most recent in a string of stupid movies. Venom, Venom 2: Let Their Be Garbage and Morbius round out the awful film franchise. The cinematic universe has Spider-Man in the title, yet he never even shows up. That's probably for the best to save him the embarrassment. I rant on this mess for a good 20 minutes. Enjoy and subscribe!

Madame Web Movie Review! It's Morbin' Time again. Sony is back with another craptastic film in their stupid Spider-Man Universe that doesn't have Spider-Man. Madam Web is the 4th film in the SSU and somehow the worst. There is basically nothing redeemable here unless you count laughing at a movie as a plus. The acting is crap, the script is worse, the effects are comical. I roast this for a good 10+ minutes but leave room in the tank for a spoiler video down the road. Subscribe for that and more!

I attended MegaCon with some awesome movie critic friends a week or so back. It was my first time attending an event like this and it was unlike anything I've ever done before. The first look trailer for Wicked is here. It looks pretty generic, dare I say bad? Of course, it's just a teaser and the final product could be a very well-made musical from the Broadway hit. This first impression though of the Wicked movie is not great.

The trailer for Twisters just came out and it looks to be another soulless remake. Who asked for this crap? I'm really tired of these cut and paste remakes of classic films. I react to it as a bitter person does.

The new Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes trailer is out! I react to all the amazing visuals and interesting concepts presented in this new trilogy. Here's hoping for another amazing set of films in the Apes universe!

Lisa Frankenstein Movie Review - Here are my thoughts on the brand new Diablo Cody & Zelda Williams flick, Lisa Frankenstein. Kathryn Newton impresses with a very quirky yet lovable performance. Visually, the film looks great. The soundtrack is equally as fun but the overall tone sometimes goes at stark contrast with the material. It's just not as energetic as it should be. Lisa Frankenstein could end up being a cult hit but it didn't hit all that well for me.

A couple of days ago, I attended my first MEGACON in Orlando, Florida. I went on several panels with some of the coolest guys in the movie critic space. Sean Chandler and Cody Leach were 2 guys I've gotten to know over the last year but seeing them in person was a far richer experience. We did several movie panels over the weekend and met some awesome fans of our channels. I met a lot of great new people too. The whole MEGACON experience was amazing and one I will remember forever.

Argylle 2024 Movie Review - Argylle is a brand new spy comedy from Matthew Vaughn. This movie features a lot of great actors and some pretty clever writing. It's also a pretty long film that might not appeal to regular moviegoers. Fans of Vaughn might also not enjoy his less serious style. I was very mixed but overall liked it more than not. Definitely not one you need to rush out and see but if you are a fan of his stuff, this shouldn't disappoint.

Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is here with a brand new trailer. I react to this crap with an honest take and my hopes for the movie. Pooh has a new look, new friends and new victims. The budget looks to be greatly increased too. Is it possible this movie might actually be any good? I gave my reaction to Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2.

Some movies properties just don't know when to quit. Actually, it's the movie studios that don't care. It always comes down to money. The 5 films on my list today are all about it. Terminator, Jurassic World, Fast & Furious, Transformers and Resident Evil; are some of the dumbest movie franchises still going today! Disney has confirmed that Daisy Ridley is returning as Rey for a new Star Wars trilogy. Ridley has talked about her conversations with JJ Abrams and the warnings he gave her. Diablo Cody has recently talked about Jennifer's Body. A cult classic that she wants to make a sequel for. Christopher Nolan gives some insight into the filming of Oppenheimer, along with some of the problems they faced. I cover all this and more on a new Adam Does Movies live!

Anyone But You Movie Review. Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell put on the swim suits and head out into an R-rated comedy that is so harmless, I wonder why they even bothered with the rating at all. Anyone But You is such a basic, predictable, safe film; it's almost hard to be upset with it. The movie checks all the boxes and manages to have a few fun moments. The chemistry between the leads is there and the supporting cast all look pretty. Overall, a very mediocre time you can watch once and forget about ever again.

Disney continues to celebrate their 100 years by releasing the most generic movie they have ever created. Disney's Wish is an extraordinary mediocre film made by a once very impressive studio. Wish attempts to be a throwback to the classic 2D animated films but doesn't fully commit. Instead, it comes off as one of those crappy straight-to-Netflix animated family movies no one has ever heard of. A shame.

Poor Things Movie Review. I am late to the party but arrived nevertheless. Poor Things has been out for awhile now and I finally was able to check it out. Emma Stone is fantastic here as Bella but I was really impressed with some of the supporting characters. The director is on point with the cinematography. The world is brilliant. The story is intriguing and wild and different. Nothing but praise coming from this guy. Loved Poor Things!

The Academy Awards AKA The Oscars just announced the nominations for 2024. Oppenheimer is set to clean up this year and Barbie is up for a shocking 8 nominations. Not every film or actor got a deserved nomination. Today I pick out 10 of the biggest surprises and even bigger disappointments from the picks.

I just got back from a 4 day trip to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. The two parks are not that big but January is supposedly the time to go, as the crowds are lighter. While that may have been the case for most the park, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter felt busier than the previous year. Broken rides, expensive food and all the Butterbeer you can handle, await you at Universal Studios. My family and I had mixed thoughts on the experience, with almost all the magic gone now.

Disney World is a magical place... or it used to be like 20 years ago. Now it's an overpriced nightmare full of crying babies and monster strollers. The lines are long, the rides are old and the babies never stop crying. Something has to be done!
