Molasses Cookies #12daysofcookies22 @ccfarm Molasses Cookies Ingredients: ¾ cup Shortening (melted) 1 cups White Sugar 1 Egg ¼ cup Molasses 2 cups All-Purpose Flour 2 teaspoons Baking Soda ½ teaspoon Salt 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon ½ teaspoon Ground Cloves ½ teaspoon Ground Ginger Mix sugar, melted shortening, and egg together in a medium bowl until smooth; stir in molasses. Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, cloves, and ginger and stir until well combined. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). While the oven is preheating, roll dough into 1-inch diameter balls; roll each ball in remaining white sugar before placing 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in batches in the preheated oven until tops are cracked, about 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on wire racks.

Peppermint Meringue Cookies #12daysofcookies22 @ccfarm Ingredients 8 Egg Whites 2 cup Granulated Sugar 1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar 1/2 tsp Salt Red Food Coloring 1 tsp Peppermint Extract Prepare ingredients for the cookies. You can choose a color of your preference. Egg whites should be at a room temperature. Using a stand up mixer, on high, beat egg whites together with sugar. Add in salt and cream of tartar, beat until stiff peaks; it will take about 10 minutes. In a pastry bag or a ziplock back with a tip, put a few drops of food coloring. Spoon in meringue mixture. Pipe out small/medium size meringue cookies. Bake them at 200 °F for about 90 minutes. Allow them to cool completely in the oven to prevent them from cracking. Haunted or not? #haunted #ghosts #jail We visited an old newspaper office, but upstairs there use to be court, with a jail cell. Really cool. It is said to be haunted. I think I believe after some of the things I heard while we were there. I didnt get the full tour video taped because I actually only thought of it as we heading towards the stairs to leave.
