Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost wants Evans Landscaping owner Doug Evans jailed for 30 days for violating a court order that requires him to clean up three landscaping and gravel facilities near Newtown and in Anderson Township. State prosecutors filed a contempt motion on Monday, asking Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas Judge Jody Luebbers to send Evans to jail and fine him up to $1,000 per day for past violations.

The National Hurricane Center said Hurricane Idalia strengthened on Tuesday afternoon. The storm is now recording top sustained winds of 100 mph, making it a Category 2 hurricane. The hurricane is moving northward in the southern Gulf of Mexico at about 12 mph, approaching Florida's Gulf Coast. A hurricane warning is in effect for Florida's Gulf Coast from Longboat Key northward to Indian Pass. Tropical storm warnings have been issued in the Fort Myers area due to Idalia's outer bands.

Man wanted for murder found dead
The man responsible for killing a woman in a Clermont County has been found dead, Union Township police said in a press release. On August 24, investigators were called to the 4000 block of Powderhorn Drive around 9 p.m. for the report of an unconscious person. The Clermont County Coroner's Office arrived around 11:30 p.m., and determined that the person was dead, Union Township police said. On Sunday, Union Township police identified the victim as 55-year-old Katrina Pratt. They said that 55-year-old William Pratt was responsible for her murder.
