One person is dead after an early-morning shooting in Over-the-Rhine. Police were called to the area of Hamer Street and East Elder Street around 4:30 a.m. Thursday for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they discovered one victim.

Area leaders said they've been working with city officials to slow speeds around Harrison Avenue, noting the road has outlived its original design to get people from the suburbs to downtown Cincinnati.

Steven Sheangshang, the man accused of killing a Scott County deputy during a traffic stop on I-75, was a suspect in both West Chester, Ohio and Fort Mitchell, Kentucky the same week as the shooting.

Some local pools will start opening as soon as this weekend, but some Tri-State pools won't be opening this season due to a lack of lifeguards.

She remembers being inspired to be a doctor by those who treated her as a child. Now, her research focuses on child health equity. She said her parents instilled Chinese principles and traditions while growing up. She says her heritage has played an important role in the direction of her esteemed career.

Officials in Utah said West Chester police contacted them to report that two men had not returned from their trip to the area. They were able to identify both men's bodies, saying they were likely caught in a flash flood while hiking.

Psychologist Stuart Bassman said road rage incidents increase in the springtime alongside the temperature. To avoid becoming the aggressor, Bassman said people should slow down, both literally and figuratively, and distract themselves from the anger.

The man's co-worker, Aladdin Roper, said they were in the area doing landscaping work when he was shot. Police have not released his name but said he is 43 years old.

The Capitoline Wolf statue, hacked off at the paws and stolen in June 2022, could soon stand tall in Eden Park once more, according to Cincinnati Parks. A spokesperson with Cincinnati Parks said the statue's replacement has been completed in Rome, Italy and is just awaiting shipping. Just in time for the busy summer travel season, TSA is now allowing teens to move through the PreCheck line with their parents for free. This new change will be for kids ages 13 to 17 years old. PreCheck allows travelers to get through airport security lines faster. Users don't have to take off their shoes and belts when going through TSA lines. They can also leave Laptops and liquids inside their bags.

The sheriff's office said 34-year-old Michael Craddock left the back door of a home and pointed a gun at officers who had surrounded the residence. An Amberley Village officer who was at the scene saw Craddock and fired one round at him, the sheriff's office said.
