Chris Claremont CANCELED?! [C2E2 Panel & Dumb Internet Stuff]
Does this mean he can finish Marada the She-Wolf? Cause I'd be okay with that result. Certainly beats Marvel just paying him to do nothing.

Thin Blue Line - [CURRENT EVENT COMIC BOOK THAT IS NOT BAD]
Thin Blue Line
Mike Baron
Joseph Arnold
Jeff Slemons
While not a great comic book this was a great first effort for Joseph Arnold and a solid story by Mike Baron. The sub-plot is pretty interesting despite the political aspect of this book being a little too on the nose.

DisintegrationStreet Volume3 - [THINGS ARE STARTING TO HEAT UP]
Disintegration Street Volume 3
Brenden Swan
While the book still suffers from Brenden Swans bizarre decision to not render his backgrounds properly, it is aided greatly by his improvement in story telling and the plot really moving forward in this volume.
Funny, scary, shocking, emotional, and most importantly memorable.
Keep up the good work Brenden.

Comics matter, just not this one. I am not getting Jawbreakers Forever, not even for a dollar. Ironically, I don't mention the lateness of this book once in this review. This book is so bad it made me forget it was over a year late.

While a bit too short and bit too expensive (like the previous book), this is still a fun read and an improvement for the series.

Figure I would comment on the latest news with Eric Julys financial success with Isom #1. Very impressive, lets hope the book and story is as good.

Stump #2 - Nathan Rosario [A LITTLE ODD]
Stump #2
Nathan Rosario
While not necessarily bad, Stump #2 is a bit of odd compared to the first issue as it suddenly diverges to a strange Asian fairytale story in the middle of a Sci-fi Superhero story. A little odd.

Battle Brick Road - Zeb Hatfield & Eric Weathers [A LITTLE LATE BUT STILL GREAT]
Battle Brick Road
Zeb Hatfield
Eric Weathers
It took a while for this crowd funder to come out but, it turned out be a solid book with great art by Eric Weathers and an engaging story by Zeb Hatfield. A bit dialogue heavy and modern for my tastes but, I think most people will enjoy this book.

I felt like go over this series as I had initially forgot about the book after reading the first issue. Having now finished the initial mini-series I missed out on this one. Sound storytelling and very interesting if you are up for something a little different.

Watchmen vs Squadron Supreme Part 3 - "These are both REALLY GOOD"
Watchmen #3
Alan Moore
Dave Gibbons
Squadron Supreme #3
Mark Gruenwald
Bob Hall
The third issue of Watchmen is dose of high quality writing and art by Moore and Gibbons. The plot is still moving a bit slow and there are moments of self indulgence here and there but, still good. Squadron Supreme on the other hand continues its tight storytelling with a piece focused on Spectrum vs Nuke while also setting up some plot points for later issues in the series; classic 80's Marvel, nuff said!

Claymore Volume 1 - Norihiro Yagi [NOT ALL MANGA ARE GOOD]
Claymore Volume 1
Norihiro Yagi
I brain dumped this manga a long time ago when I first read it. Picked it up recently to re-evaluate and pretty much came to the same conclusion. The death of an American comic is incompetent or arrogant story. The death of a Japanese Manga is boring or predictable story.

Cinebook finally decided to make another print run of Thorgal volumes making these books finally affordable. Many commenters have told me this is possible one of the best stories in the series. So far, I'd have to concur.

Thomas Valiant - RJ Shaw & Renzo Rodriguez [EXPENSIVE FAN FICTION]
Thomas Valiant
RJ Shaw
Renzo Rodriguez
This book feels very similar to Peregrine Wings of the Falcon from before. Heavy influenced by DC and Marvel comics (if not outright pulling from their characters). This books wants all the feelings and emotions tied to superheroes but, none of the work involved with why people have strong emotions for such characters.
Renzo's art is really dope though, so A+ there.

Both of these issues are super depressing but, I have to give it to Squadron Supreme for the better single issue story. The second issue of Watchmen is decent in the big picture but, doesn't really move the plot forward much.

This IndieGoGo campaign comic was an excellent value for what it cost to back and has a really interesting premise. Unfortunately the story and motivations of the character ends up making this book fall apart.

Creed Re:Imaginary
Trent Kaniuga
Can't deny that I had to slog through these two books twice to really get a feel for it. Not a bad book but, a bit personal and heavy on references. The world itself though could be very interesting is Trent tightens up the writing.

Amazing contrast in style here with Watchmen showing of the modern style of comic writing versus the classic 80's Marvel method of the Jim Shooter era with Squadron. Both an excellent read.

Overall a better book and a more enjoyable read than the Chenoo. Graham Nolan sets up his universe in this book and it's pretty interesting even if it's not really my cup of tea.
