Prof. Tamás Visi on TheTorah.com has an article entitled 'Did The Jews Crucify Jesus?' In this article Prof. Visi admits that The Sages and Rabbis who gave us the 'Oral Torah' in the Babylonian Talmud [the foundation - with the Jerusalem Talmud - of modern Rabbinic 'Judaism'] DID indeed take credit for the Execution of Jesus The Nazarene. He however says that they must have been deceived by the writings of certain early Christians. In the New Testament we read of the desire of some/many JUDEANS [so-called 'Jews'] wanting to stone Jesus for blasphemy. So Prof. Visi who is deceiving whom here? NOTE that The WORD came into the world taking flesh precisely to offer Himself in sacrifice for us, pay the debt of Adam and open the gates of heaven. Jesus Christ himself declares: 'I lay down my life, that I may take it again. No man taketh it away from me: but I lay it down of myself, and I have power to lay it down: and I have power to take it up again.' [John 10:17-18]

In the amazing book called 'The Departure of the Soul - According to the Teaching of the Orthodox Church' published by St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Monastery the Catholic teaching on: - The attacks of demons on the departing soul - The aid of the saints and angels at the moment of death - The Devil being 'the accuser' of the soul and his desire to capture it forever if possible. - Purgatory which is called the 'toll house' or 'toll houses' where an exact account is rendered for unconfessed or unrepentant of sins and from which the soul will not be released till 'the last farthing' is paid. - The Eastern Orthodox do not used the TERM 'Purgatory' but the BELIEF in it is the same as the Catholic Church because it is The Apostolic Teaching. - Prayers for the departing soul and for the dead are very efficacious for their repose and help. Keeping in mind that the Catholic Church is the One True Church of Jesus Christ this is an amazing book that includes the saying and teaching of Saints before the 'schism' and Orthodox saints after the 'schism'. This is the stuff of nightmares for the Vatican and their undisputedly failed liturgical and doctrinal novelties or as they prefer to call them 'reforms'. St. Martin's Lent, the Advent Fast, the Nativity [Christmas] Fast is a One of the Four Traditional Fasting seasons of the Church. Fasting - if done right - is a great aid to the spiritual life which is it's primary purpose. A happy consequence of following the Traditional fasting discipline of the Church is a healthier body and a more serene mind. Fasting, Prayer and Alms were commanded by Our Incarnate God Jesus Christ. It is not an option. God know what is best for us and we are to take Our Lord at his word. So let us do the Advent Fast on our own initiative following the Ancient Practice of the Church. This will make it even more acceptable to God - Father Son and Holy Spirit - since there is no Law requiring us to fast any longer. In his address to participants in the World Jewish Congress, Pope Francis does not mention Jesus, Christ, Messiah, God the Father, the Holy Spirit or the Trinity.
