On Sept. 28, 2023, during House vote on amendments to fiscal year 2024 federal spending legislation for DHS and State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs, Rep. Virginia Foxx discusses her amendment to prevent taxpayer funds from paying for State Department employees to travel to or attend events hosted by the Clinton Global Initiative. Carolina. Ms. Foxx: Thank you, Mr. Chairman. I rise in support of my amendment. My amendment is simple. It would prevent taxpayer funds from paying for state department employees to travel to or attend events hosted by the Clinton Global Initiative. The rationale is quite simple. The Clinton Global Initiative has engaged in blatant corruption and influence peddling that would make even Hunter Biden blush. In perhaps its most famous episode, in 2014, Hillary Clinton approached the Moroccan government about hosting a Clinton Global initiative conference in Morocco. The Moroccans fronted the money for the event by funneling it through a state-owned enterprise that was extracting and exploiting phosphates in a non self-governing territory, certain Sahara. This slight of hand amounted to condoning Morocco's sovereignty over this disputed land. You heard that right. It was cash for sovereignty deal formulated just as former secretary of state Clinton began her run for president. Of the free world. This deal was so rotten that even the Huffington post deemed fox news' investigation into this matter a, quote, brutal, clean hit on Hillary Clinton's campaign. End quote. Indeed the Clinton global initiative scandals are myriad and include an episode uncovered by "The New York times" revealing undisclosed donations linked to the sail of -- sale of U.S. Uranium production to a Ukrainian agency. The Clinton Global initiative was not able to withstand the scrutiny and was shuttered until late last year when it reconstituted itself. U.S. operations are no longer dark. This is the first state and foreign operations appropriations bill considered since its resurrection. It has since morphed into a factory of radical elitist woke schemes. Just last week the Clinton Global Initiative convened in New York to discuss how to reshape our economy to tackle the left's pet projects that will make life for ordinary Americans more expensive and worse. Given the state department's enmeshment with the Clintons and the natives, we need to send a clear message. No more coordination with the U.S. Government. No more conferences with corruption governments at the expense of the oppressed people of the global. No more representation and participation by the state department. And an end to its co-mingling with official policy. Hopefully the beginning of the end of this corrupt organization's influence on U.S. Policymaking. Americans simply can't afford more radical policies purr valid by an organization that allow thinks global elite to buy and influence American foreign policy. This interview with Julian Assange took place during a demonstration organized by Stop the War Coalition to mark the 10th anniversary of the Afghanistan war. It took place in London on October 8, 2011. This year marks 10 years of the war in Afghanistan. We have to ask the question are we entering into a phase of continue war, because Afghanistan, prior to its invasion, was the second poorest country on Earth. Against Afghanistan the Taliban who are Afghani we have two superpowers Europe powers, one the United States and the other Europe. Europe spends five times more on its military and intelligence affairs than China, just over half that of the United States. These two superpowers have been unable to subjugate Afghanistan. Can they subjugate Afghanistan? Of course, they can. If there was a national will in the United States to do that and if there was a national will in Europe to do that. Of course they could subjugate the second poorest nation on earth. That they cannot is not really a reflection of the sophistication of the resistance to occupation in Afghanistan and the sophistication of the Taliban, but rather it is a reflection of the lack of genuine will amongst European and US soldiers. Because the goal is not to completely subjugate Afghanistan, the goal is to use Afghanistan to wash money out of the tax bases of the United States how did the tax bases of European countries through Afghanistan and back into the hands of a transnational Security elite. That is the goal, ie the goal is to have an endless war, not a successful war. So Stop the War Coalition is important because we have to prevent it becoming normal for there to be a constant war. Very soon, within the next few years, it will become the normal for there to be a constant war in the west. People will reach maturity and adulthood under the understanding that there is always a war, and at that point war will not be something that is unusual or surprising or horrifying war will become the new normal. More than 2,200 migrants were captured on video heading toward Eagle Pass, Texas, overnight in one of the largest border crossings observed by Fox News in the past two years.
