Drew Sheard, recently took to social media to walk back his original social media annoucement concerning a new partnership he was forming with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, also known as the Mormon Church. On the surface, one may be confused as to why Christians and Mormons cannot partner together in ministry. The life-altering incident inspired him to launch The Blue Phoenix Initiative to serve other officers in need, and he is an ardent supporter of the importance of the relationship between police and the communities they serve.
