When it comes to the featuring of chess rituals in media, it's not always about death and life. Sometimes, the themes linked with chess involve prison breaks, or stargates, like with the examples found in our series with pianos and stargates. In 1952, an ancient manuscript known as the Copper Scroll was found in a cave near Qumran. It was recognized as a treasure map, but despite the best efforts of the experts, no one could make enough sense of it to find anything. That is, until Oklahoman Jim Barfield, it appears. When Jim presented his findings to the leading Rabbi of Israel and other authorities they were convinced he had indeed found the treasure of ancient Israel. Because the location is still very politically sensitive, the sites have not been excavated, even 18 years later. The use of ground penetrating radar has, however, confirmed the presence of objects consistent with what is expected to be found. Many see this treasure, which could be accessed in short order, as the dowry for the Bride of the Messiah. In this 5th installment in the series, we explore a scene from a new Netflix movie called, Atlas, starring Jennifer Lopez. The conspiratorially-minded among us will see this film as I do, as an effort to get people to overcome their mistrust of AI, like how Atlas, the protagonist, does by the end of the film. The kinds of magic ritual I call out are there in support of that goal. Ultimately, this kind of production is drawing people to embrace the beasts and to accept the mark of the beast, as per Revelation 13. The game of chess is a recurring theme in the film. When a robot says that he can't die, Atlas uses her favorite chess piece as a weapon and "kills" him. In this video, I read from the scriptures about the resurrection and discuss the schedule, refuting the traditional teaching about Jesus being crucified on Good Friday and raised on Easter Sunday. I begin with some personal history. I was raised as a Baptist, of the Northern Baptist variety. When it came to Easter Sunday, the family would get dressed up more than usual to attend church. I remember attending an Easter Sunrise Service a couple of times. I remember those being particularly cold days in Upstate New York, with a biting wind. In the days leading up to Easter, I remember making hard-boiled eggs and dying them with bright colors. My sisters and I would find them in our Easter baskets on Easter Sunday, with chocolate bunnies and lots of candy. A familiar story, right? In Sunday school, and when the Pastor would teach about Jesus' death and resurrection, it didn't add up. Literally. I was fine with the death and resurrection parts, but when it came to the schedule, it fell apart. I don't remember when I came to see this inconsistency, but, if Jesus died on Good Friday and was raised early on Easter Sunday, how is that add up to three days and three nights? There's no way you can make that fit. If they can't get that right, and this isn't that hard to figure out, it begs certain questions about whoever is promoting this nonsense. What else are they getting wrong? How trustworthy are they in the weightier matters of life and what happens after?
