TOPICS: New Heartland/Rasmussen poll concludes that one-in-five mail-in voters admit to committing at least one kind of voter fraud in 2020 election. 21% of mail-in voters admitted that they filled out a ballot for a friend or family member. 17% of mail-in voters said they signed a ballot for a friend or family member «with or without his or her permission». 8% of likely voters say they were offered «pay» or a «reward» for voting in 2020. Taken together, the results of these survey questions appear to show that voter fraud was widespread in the 2020 election, especially among those who cast mail-in ballots.

TOPICS: The U.S. Supreme Court has been asked to weigh in for the first time on Donald Trump's legal protections, in a petition that seeks a ruling on whether a former president is «absolutely immune» from federal prosecution for crimes committed while in office. Jack Smith, the US special counsel overseeing federal criminal prosecutions of Trump, on Monday urged the Supreme Court to grant «immediate review» in order for the case to be decided during its current term, which usually ends in June or early July. That would ensure a resolution months before the presidential election in November 2024. Trump remains the favourite to become the Republican nominee. The high court later on Monday granted the request to fast-track consideration of the petition and directed Trump to file a response by December 20.

TOPICS: The presidents of Harvard, UPenn and MIT testified on Capitol Hill about rising antisemitism on their campuses, an issue that has plagued institutions of higher learning across the country in recent months. Hamas attack on Israel has fueled riots and violence across the U.S., with reports of antisemitic incidents surging dramatically since then. TOPICS: Biden on Wednesday reiterated his plea to Congress to pass a national security funding request that includes money for Ukraine, as the White House warns Ukraine funding will dry up by the end of the month. Biden directed his message to Republicans in particular, as the Democratic-controlled Senate prepares to vote on Biden's request for $106 billion in funding for national security-related matters. Many Republicans insist funding for border security must be included in any such package.

TOPICS: The House will hold a formal vote to authorize the ongoing Republican-led impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden — Speaker Mike Johnson announced recently. Johnson said the House is at an "inflection point" and accused the White House of "stonewalling" the investigation, which was launched by former Speaker Kevin McCarthy back in September. Johnson made clear the vote, which he and other GOP leaders said will be held next week, is not a vote to impeach President Biden but one that will allow lawmakers to "continue on pace" with the inquiry.

The vote from the lower chamber to expel Santos was 311-114, with 105 Republicans and 206 Democrats voting for expulsion. All Republican leaders voted against expulsion. TOPICS: According to leaked remarks from Israel's war cabinet meeting, attended by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Blinken told Israel it cannot operate in southern Gaza in the way it has done in the north — a presumed reference to the heavy air bombardment and crushing ground operation — and indicated that Israel has weeks, not months, to complete its declared mission of destroying Hamas. The US Administration has repeatedly backed Israel’s goal of eliminating Hamas in the wake of the terror group’s October 7 slaughter of 1,200 Israelis, but has indicated it is increasingly troubled by the civilian fatalities and widespread destruction in the Hamas-run strip.

TOPICS: Special Counsel Jack Smith hunted information on Twitter users who liked or retweeted posts published by former President Donald Trump, according to redacted search warrants and other documents that were released recently. According to the heavily redacted document issued to Twitter in January, the court ordered the social media giant to forfeit a bevy of information regarding Trump's account, including «advertising information, including advertising IDs, ad activity, and ad topic preferences» as well as IP addresses «used to create, login, and use the account» and privacy and account settings. The warrant also demanded information such as Trump's search history, direct messages, and «content of all tweets created, drafted, favorited/liked, or retweeted» by his account from October 2020 to January 2021.

TOPICS: The House on Monday blocked a resolution to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over his handling of the situation along the U.S.-Mexico border, instead voting to refer the matter to a committee. The impeachment measure introduced by GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia last week includes a single article that accuses Mayorkas of engaging "in a pattern of conduct that is incompatible with the laws" of the United States. The House voted 209-201 in favor of sending the resolution to the committee, with eight RINO Republican traitors voting with all the Democrats.
