One of the best Adventure/Action/RPG Element games ever made and started a whole genre and series still going strong to this day. Great music, controls, monsters, effects, items and elements all in one awesome NES game. When Nintendo made this for its Famicom system, it broke the mold and truly made a game worth to be called "Legend". They even released in it a gold colored cartridge. That's how much they realized they had something special on their hands here. And boy were they right. So special and great a game, even Vespor wouldn't let Ramsis play this for his own @RamsisRetroLongplays channel. No it belonged on the original and first channel so he too could partake in the fun of reliving it once again. With some history, thoughts, fun, humor and getting lost along the way. For this Very Special Episode of The Vespors Retro Reviews Show we bring you.. An Interview with a Comic Book Collector and Subscriber to our Show named "DisneyRetroLover" Who is a big fan of our channel and long time subscriber and wanted us to look at his collection and talk about his favorite past time with us and all of you. DisneyRetroLover also worked on his favorite series later on, fulfilling a lifelong dream he had while reading comics that involved his favorite character. His favorite story and the character we are talking about today is that of the Phantom Blot. A classic Disney Comic Book villain who was prominent in Disney Comic Strips for years before disappearing all together. He showed up again for a seven issue run in the 1960s and was gone again. It took DisneyRetroLover years to figure out what happened and why there was no further issues until another one showed up suddenly many years later. Also he will talk about his favorite time period of the 1960s, his favorite series from that time and comic books related to that time period. While the Vespor and Ramsis talk and ask questions of things they and you will want to hear about when it comes to the history of Comic Books and the fandom. Where it's been and where it has gone to and thoughts in regards to that. Sit back, relax, take a trip back in time. As we are returning to yesteryear where comic books were king, stories in comics ruled and the books were over 30 pages long with no ads within and all filled with story, lots of story. Vespor's Retro Reviews - Cartoon Episode Review The Transformers | Retro TV Episode Review | Review by TheVepsor and Ramsis Episode 22 TheVespor and Ramsis give full review of the Season 1, Episode 7 episode of The Transformers cartoon series from 1984, titled "Fire in the Sky". Part of our Cartoon Series Review Series here on Vespor's Retro Reviews. This time we are looking at the seventh first season episode. The episode that introduces, Jetfire, I mean Skyfire. I mean.. well its that big jet that joins the Autobots. Yeah that episode. Set in the arctic, the Decepticons are draining another crystal (yep they love crystal based energy it seems) and the Autobots have to drive there (yep they drive there) to stop them. While the Decepticons are looking for more power sources they stumble upon a fallen Cybertronian. Skyfire and make him part of the Decepticon forces. But will he live up to Megatron's expectations as his ULTIMATE WARRIOR or change his tune and side before making the ultimate sacrifice (for a few episodes at least) when all is said and done? Not one of our favorite games and it is a really poor version of what would come later in the aftermath of this game. BUT.. you have to start somewhere and we avoided it enough.
