Restoration Old Rusty Electric iron | Awesome Restoration Hello everyone, I found this rusted electric iron at my Friend's shop. This old rusty electric iron had deep rust and in a bad condition, the rust was gone inside the iron, and some damage in the wire section. The internal components of the electric iron were in great condition as they are almost all Cast iron and steel. The external steel components were fairly rusted. so that's a challenge for me to make it new again. I rebuilt all the internal components and de-rusted, sanded, painted, and fixed issues polished the external components. and install it again. As you see After restoring, the iron works well. I like it very much. I plugged it for fun but I don't intend to use it :) I hope you find something useful & enjoy the video! in this video i'll finish the welding table / workbench for some time. I've always managed the best I could with what I had but i need a general workbench/welding table this is going to make work much easier and more accurate too. i paid 50 for this one and it's pretty handy, but i do need something better. it made sense to me as I'll probably be using this as a general workbench 75% of the time. and also as i have no storage whatsoever in the workshop i also need to add some drawers. i'm still in the process of setting up my metal workshop and i'm in desperate need for a new welding table/workbench I've not seen anyone fill the gaps in on a welding table before. and i do plan on building a cabinet and more storage space soon. i've got the steel to start making welding table / workbench it's 50 by 50 square tube. and the rest of the material is being delivered in a day or two. i found a new steel supplier that was super helpful and cut all the pieces to length, prepare the joints and start welding. i don't have a work surface large enough to weld it on so i'm going to have to do it on the floor I hope you find something useful & enjoy the video! Hi Everyone, Today in this video I'll show you how to Restore a very Rusted antique Gas Iron. I bought this rusty Gas Iron from Flae market in $2.It was a challenge for me to restore the Old and very Rusty Gas Iron. I haven't restored the Gas iron yet. I had a hard time recovering the Iron as you see in the video. because The Iron was very rusty. All the parts were stacked. All the crew were broken when I try to open them except for only one. some of the parts was also missed. I was wondering 2 days to bought the missed parts. So I am really happy. that it works After fully reassembled, I may take this a bit further and do some modifications on the Old Gas Iron to improve performance. hey guys, I picked this rusty and broken screwdriver up at a local Flea Market. the handle and it's rusty as hell but still, I think that this screwdriver might be worth restoring so today I want to start a new series about restoring tools because I truly believe that tools are really important for long-term survival. I enjoy seeing old tools come back to life so I figured I would give it a shot. I feel it came out nice but it was a ton of work. I thought this would be a quick and easy video to make, but it ended up being much more complicated than I expected. I made about 10 attempts at the handles before I was able to produce something I was satisfied with. First of all I started this screwdriver Restoration by removing the broken handle with a chisel and hammer. Then remove the Deep stretches on screwdriver with a file, and then went from 320 grit sandpaper, and worked my way up to 800 and 1000. Welcome in our first video. Today we will restore the helical gear motor which will be used in the firewood making machine. The whole was in bad visual condition but inside it looked much better. Gears and sealings weren't in bad condition but I decided to change them just in case :) The whole of the mechanism was painted epoxy primer next I used finishing paint. The gear and motor works quiet and stable :)

I found this circular saw shaft a few years ago in the junkyard and I knew that one day I would need it. Finally came the day when the shaft looks nice and is restored. The most important thing was replacing the bearings because they were very worn and noisy. The rest is cleaning and painting :)

More about the vise : I won this vise at an Ebay auction. The seller claimed it was from 1964, so I did my best to win the auction. I thought it was quite a valuable piece and I thought that will be a nice restoration , so I paid $380 plus another $400 shipping and taxes from United States to my place. In the end it was just a beautiful restoration because the vise is not what I thought. During disassembly, I removed the keychain, where the year of manufacture is usually stamped, and that's how I found out that this vise was made in 1989. This only matters in the evaluation of the price, because in the end it will still be an antique piece with a high value. In general, vices are the most abused tools and often end up as scrap metal. That's why there are so few Wilton vices on the antique markets and they have very high prices. I don't care that it cost an extraordinary amount, having a Wilton vise in the workshop is a fulfillment. After the restoration, my big dilemma is whether to use it or keep it in good condition, because it has a beautiful outcome. More about the restoration : I started the restoration by disassembling the vise , after that I cleaned all the parts that has grease on it. I restored all the parts that were in almost good condition. I nickel plated most of them and I choose brushed finishing . I made some metal works to the main parts and I powder coating them in green hammertone. First time when I used this colour and I was amazed with the outcome. I made new handles because they were needed or were missing. I had to make a new jaw pipe because were missing too. The jaws of the vise could have been kept and restored but I'm not a fan of the rough surface so I made other jaws with flat surface. Here needed to show how I hardened them. I think you have what to see in this video, it may be one of my most complex restoration video, with many techniques, presented very well in the video.
