Richard Welch Advises North Kingstown School Committee Pick Next School Super With VERIFIED Background In Administration
Richard Welch was a North Kingstown School Committee member serving for four years.
During that time, two superintendents were chosen from a list of candidates but the required qualifications were a background in administration. Phil Thornton was one of those solid choices.
Richard insists that, unlike East Greenwich that chose a person from a little known school, the North Kingstown committee must verify all the facts and trust none on paper.

Jim McGwin Brings Issues Ignored By North Kingstown School Committee On Child Abuse While Declaring Divisive PRIDE Month
At a 5-10-22 North Kingstown, RI school committee meeting, Jim McGwin took issue with the SEL/athletic presentation that neglects to survey townsfolk in regards to their temper and sentiment of sexual improprieties involving a coach, Aaron Thomas and most recently, three more dismissed members of the school faculty or staff.
Next on the list of concerns was the school’s willingness to give an entire month for Asian-American Pacific Islanders and PRIDE while ignoring the balance of students. Yet, given the school’s foibles with Aaron Thomas and most recently, the dismissal of three more school members for sexual improprieties, but not a mention for President Biden’s proclamation that April be deemed National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Lastly, he asked the school committee to vote on a resolution for Senate Bill 2219 that would make it illegal for any persons in a leadership role to engage in ANY sexual activity with a student regardless if consent is given.

April was Sexual Abuse Aware Month. North Kingstown School Committee needs to take heed so everyone can heal.

(RI) Kathleen Layton Supports North Kingstown's Flying of PRIDE Flag But Cites Police Presence As Divisive
Kathleen Layton gives support for flying a PRIDE flag during PRIDE month but somehow has an issue for the presence of two North Kingstown police officers at a school committee meeting.
It is odd that she doesn’t think the use of town property to fly a PRIDE flag is divisive but the presence of two police officers is a sign of community divisiveness.

Megan Reilly Request Answers Of North Kingstown, RI School Commitee Over Hiring Practices
Megan Reilly questions whether the new interim superintendent, Miss Cipella, has already been working in the school system and if so, why her approval was given by the school committee tonight (5-10-22) to start July 1st.
Megan questions the need to pay interim superintendent Michael Waterman $600 a day for extra duties when he is getting extra assistance from Miss Cipella. Also, why is Mary King still on staff when her replacement is already in the field?
There is a petition circulating in the North Kingstown/Jamestown districts to remove the school committee from the discussion to find the next superintendent/assistant. The lack of trust stems from a plethora of issues with the most recent naked fat body tests scandal.

Ramona Bessinger Blasts North Kingstown, RI School Committee On Needless & Perplexing SEL Policies For Students
Ramona Bessinger points out the lies of SEL (social emotional learning) policies presented at the North Kingstown, RI school committee meeting as garbage and isn’t unique to the town but to all cities and towns in Rhode Island.
Ramona points out that none of the teachers or administrators are qualified to provide mental health, suicide or emotional guidance to school children. Children experience the full bevy of emotions, as we all do, that are not cataclysmic events in need of a cure.
She chastises the North Kingstown school committee for their dismissal of concerns from the parents while they conduct meetings with a business as usual flair.

Ramona Bessinger Calls Out RI Ed. Comm. Infante-Green For False Reporting And Toxic Educational Environment
Ramona Bessinger calls out Rhode Island Commissioner Angelica Infante-Green for her rosy, inaccurate and false reporting on the advancement of education in Rhode Island public schools since taking the leadership role.

Adriana Bonilla Speaks To Senate Oversight Cmte. On Failed Promises Of Change From RI Ed. Comm. Infante-Green
Adriana Bonillla points out the stumbling blocks that Commissioner Infante-Green put in place preventing open dialogue about the failed education system, the complete lack of transparency and information learned second hand on local TV news stations.
She concludes Rhode Island Education Commissioner Angelica Infante-Green has basically lied about the progress of education in Rhode Island especially the state run Providence school district.
An oppressive environment has caused teachers of a diverse nature to seek employment out of Providence and in some cases out of state

RI Senator Tiara Mack Sponsors S2285 So Adults Can Teach Pleasure Based Sex To Children In Public Schools
Sen. Mack thinks this is what weighs on the minds of her constituents as they pack up their children off to school to get a proper education.
Playing the part of the oppressed victim, as taught with the same Marxist ideology methods for critical race theory proponents, she introduces her bill so that children from ages 12-17 can learn all about pleasure based sex and the variety of method and means they can explore.

Jeann Lugo Opposes S2285 - Fixing Educational Failures Are Paramount Over The Need For Pleasure Sex Classes In Schools
Jeann Lugo, a Providence police officer, cites the testing failures of the current educational system and the dire need to improve the teaching models so that students can elevate to grade levels of learning.
He rightfully points the diverse nature of Providence schools and the voices of the student’s parents that oppose this type of teaching are not being heard.
He bring his testimony to a conclusion with a point on the end with “they’re not your children to raise, they’re ours.”

(RI) Laurie Gaddis Barrett Opposes S2285 Pleasure Sex School Teaching - Keep Away From Our Children's Sex Life
Laurie Gaddis Barrett, of Parents United RI (www.parentsunitedri.com) and a very recognizable figure across the state, opposes this bill mainly that government has no purpose or place in the sex lives of their children.
She rightfully cites that it’s still legal for teachers to have sex with their students if above the age of fourteen. Teaching pleasure based sex to that age group will only exacerbate the issue.
Parents are the experts when it comes to teaching family values, not government.

Josh Mello Opposes S2285 That Would Allow Teaching Of Pleasure Sex In Rhode Island Public Schools
Josh Mello bring up and important point that if he were to talk about an sexual pleasure experience to a co-worker (male of female), he'd probably be hauled in to Personnel and be warned or fired.
However, he accurately points out that S2285 would give permission to an adult to talk to a child, a minor, about pleasure based sex that would include instructional materials.

(RI) Ramona Bessinger Opposes S2285 Pleasure Sex Taught In Schools - Hands, Beliefs & Thoughts Off Our Children
Ramona Bessinger, a Providence, RI school teacher, stresses to the Senate Education committee, that politicians need to learn that these children are not theirs and rightfully belong to the parents.
She then stresses that they (politicians & the education department) need to "keep your hands, your beliefs, your thoughts, your unmeasurable thoughts off our children."
She does make mention that Sex Ed. is taught from middle school through high school but is age appropriate and taught by trained professionals.

(RI) Rep. Tanzi Wants To Eliminate Fossil Fuels - End Wars - Save The Earth By Expanding Bicycle & Walk Paths
Rep. Tanzi believes that the use of fossil fuels is unsustainable. Her solution? Expanding bike and walking paths by putting a $25M bond referendum before the voters in the 2022 election.
I guess she believes that everyone will eventually bike or walk to work. I'm guessing the voters won't find her idea sustainable.

At the 5:10 timestamp, Rep. Edwards purposely begins a needless contentious exchange showing lack of comprehension for the purpose of the bill.

(RI) - Rep. McNamara Fails On Requesting Rep. Morgan Withdraw H7539 After Bill's Introduction
In all my years watching and attending committee hearings, I have NEVER seen the committee chair request a sponsor withdraw a bill AFTER its introduction but in full view of the committee and the public. The condescending tone of Rep. McNamara should cause you to be concerned that Republican representation is largely ignored.
Rep. McNamara, the Rhode Island Democrat Party Chair, also serves as the House Education Committee Chair, tries to have Rep. Morgan withdraw her H7539 Bill which takes the essence of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and make it a law in Rhode Island.
