Maybe Daily Episode 27: Ideas over Labels
Welcome to Maybe Daily episode 27. In today's episode I will share some thoughts about labels we tend to impose on people and how these are used to dismiss ideas especially when they shouldn't be. Maybe Daily Episode 26: Pyramids and bamboozle
Welcome to Maybe Daily episode 26. Today's episode is very much a catch-up/catch-all episode with a focus on bamboozle you might be subject to around pyramids.
Maybe Daily Episode 25: Balls, skill and luck
Welcome to Maybe Daily episode 25. In today’s episode, we will talk about what it takes to get lucky with concrete examples from my experience, both distant and recent. If some words like work or skill hurt your feelings it’s definitely a “you” problem and you should try getting good at something for a change.
Maybe Daily Episode 24: Thankful I'm not a killer
Welcome to Maybe Daily episode 24. In today’s episode, we will talk about enjoying life, crackheads interrupting your life and governments taking too much money from us without giving much in return. If some words like crackhead hurt you it is definitely a “you” problem and you should stop being a crackhead while you’re still alive.

Maybe Daily Episode 23: Making bodily autonomy great again!
Welcome to Maybe Daily episode 23. In today’s episode, we will talk about bodily autonomy which people suddenly remembered since Roe v. Wade got overturned. Interestingly enough, lots of folks also just remembered what woman means. No more made-up prefixes like “cis”. I like that. What I like less is any government getting involved with people’s business. The episode goes into more detail on that. I am happy to be one of the few who remained consistent over the past couple of years on people’s right to decide what can go inside or outside of their bodies. I’m just saying clumps of words, if some words hurt you it is definitely a “you” problem. Maybe Daily Episode 22: Now that's just bad storytelling
Welcome to Maybe Daily episode 22. In today's episode we delve into a story I came across which feels oddly representative of the current youth. It has all the hallmarks of terrible storytelling. The story does serve to make some parallels to real life and how we behave as a society. This is not a rant episode despite the ranty tone at times. I'm just saying words, if some words hurt you it feels like it's a "you" problem. Maybe Daily Episode 21: Faker than Victor Newman
Welcome to Maybe Daily episode 21. It's pretty much a coming of age episode, the first legal one. At least in the US where our hero of the day Victor Newman is from. And yet he is fake, like so many narratives getting pushed upon us but let's take things lightly. No reason not to chill. See nonsense? Point at it, laugh, then move on. Makes life so much easier. And no this isn't the message of this episode so you still have to watch. Website link here: https://www.peopledrinkwords.com/2022/03/05/maybe-daily-episode-21-faker-than-victor-newman/
Maybe Daily Episode 20: A short Londoner rant
Welcome to Maybe Daily episode 20. Not quite publishing daily but still better than a half-year gap as the last episode came out last week. In this one, I'm ranting about a letter I received from the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, mostly because the only thing I trust from it is that we will pay more taxes. I also mention trying to hold my swearing a bit to prepare a live radio appearance which happened later that evening. The show is called "Censorship Sucks Roundtable Radio Show" from February 9th, 2022. I don't have the archive of the episode yet but will share it on the website when I get it. That being said I hope you enjoy this episode and check out my first ever radio appearance.
Maybe Daily Episode 19: Likewise Brightstar, likewise
Welcome to Maybe Daily episode 19. Months passed so this one starts with a tiny life update before jumping in between Likewise’s cheeks. Likewise, formerly known as Brightstar is an insurance company providing phone insurance among other things. They serve as providers for Barclays, Vodafone and Natwest among others. The story is crazy and drives the rant through the whole episode so I won’t spoil it here considering I went without a script. But don’t you always go without script JD? I hear you say. Well, yes but this one does that even harder. No notes, just nigh raw unfiltered ranting. Hope you’ll appreciate it and hope to see you soon. Through the episode, I mention what happened, but you can check out the blog post born from these shenanigans you can check it out here. It focuses on how I got back to my PinePhone experiment right here: https://www.codingnagger.com/2022/01/26/bringing-back-the-pinephone/ Likewise reviews page with the first review I read in the episode: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/likewize.com?page=3 More reviews under their former name and it’s a gift that keeps on giving: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/brightstar.co.uk Website link: https://www.peopledrinkwords.com/2022/01/27/maybe-daily-episode-19-likewise-brightstar-likewise/
Maybe Daily Episode 18: Let's talk about blackfishing
Welcome to Maybe Daily episode 18. New episode, new haircut. Today I chose to talk about blackfishing. A term that my auto-correct doesn't believe exist and it is correct. We can't just keep making up words to cover up what is straight up jealousy. And yes, the Jesy Nelson story inspired this episode. Maybe Daily Episode 17: Git good or GTFO
Welcome to Maybe Daily episode 17. About a day after publishing the last episode, I had a few issues around new git repositories directly connected to some identity politics that snuck into software development all the way to the team that manages a software most developers use thus breaking tools that have existed for decades. And yes I am wearing my 2018 Hacktoberfest bragging rights shirt here. * Original thoughts on the wokeness of renaming the git master branch to main: https://www.codingnagger.com/2021/01/23/the-master-branch-is-not-problematic-wokeism-is/ * Tutorial on how to make the master branch the default again: https://www.codingnagger.com/2021/09/26/easily-rename-your-git-default-branch-from-main-to-master/ Website link: https://www.peopledrinkwords.com/2021/09/27/maybe-daily-episode-17-git-good-or-gtfo/

Maybe Daily Episode 16: Don't walk in parks at night
Welcome back to Maybe Daily episode 16. Twenty-four hours since the last one so today's episode is more of the real thing compared to the previous. Here I will briefly talk about the Sabina Nessa murder, what we know, how people can help and mostly what it reminds us all. Clue in the episode title. Maybe Daily Episode 15: Return to Rumble ramblings
Welcome back to Maybe Daily episode 15. Eight months since the last one so today's episode is mostly a catch-up/warm-up episode so that I get back to podcasting in a more serious manner. It's probably one you could skip but it'll be cool if you check it out. Website link: https://www.peopledrinkwords.com/2021/09/23/maybe-daily-episode-15-return-to-rumble-ramblings/
Maybe Daily Episode 14: Making women sports great again
Welcome back to Maybe Daily episode 14. In today's episode, I will talk about that executive order the newest US president Joe Biden signed and why it can make women sports entertaining again by making them more manly. You can't make this up and I hope we will see some interesting developments out of this story. If they keep coming I'll keep recording. Even if they don't I'll find something else to ramble about until I can have guests again.
Maybe Daily Episode 13: Black lives matter
Welcome to Maybe Daily episode 13. This is the first podcast episode I'm sharing here on Rumble and I will share the preview episodes, including the interviews, over here soon enough. Unless there is a feature to transfer all the episodes from YouTube over here. In today’s episode, we’re catching up. It’s been way too long since I published the last MD. Coming back on my recording schedule, it seems like episode 13 should have been about Kevin Hart. Looks like I wrote a draft and forgot about it. Him getting pulled off the Oscars, his new special, etc. However, this one may be more interesting for you to listen to as we tackle BLM. “Black lives matter”, a rallying cry to fight injustice especially against black people. Or so you’d think, however, black people seem to receive more abuse from BLM supporters than from the traditionally accepted racists with a different skin tone. Interestingly enough, for the first time ever, I received what one would call racist abuse if it came from a white person. However, one would not call it racist because black people did it. I finally joined the BLM’ coons club alongside the likes of Kanye West, Candace Owens, Terry Crews and others. Not the worst club to be a part of when you consider the members. I will obviously wear this as a badge of honour until I die, or at least until I forget this ever happened, whichever comes first. While it came from a place of hatred, these people inspired me not only to record a podcast months after the last one but also to a poem I recite at the end of the episode: Black lives matter unless you think for yourself, no diversity of thought it’s sus We have a dream where black, whites, latinos, chinese jump on our single think bus We will chastise and shame if you don’t look nor think nor behave exactly like us Making up a symbol to group a bunch of nothing, a gesture, any real help is surplus People worried about matching their coats with a BLM sign to look good Focusing their energy on getting attention rather than acting good Something wicked this way came, shrieked and ruined everyone’s mood Claiming to share a dream of equality while spitting where MLK stood We don’t know one another, have no idea what each went through Screaming, scratching away the hate seems so strong in you Looking for answers, becoming a victim, these lies tricked you This poison you drink, the poison you share, this will be the end of you You missed the tolerance lesson we all got from Lilo & Stitch Going around talking such a big game but no-show on the pitch You turn out to be the racist you claim to hate and that’s rich Look in the mirror, my hair and my thoughts are my own, bitch Website episode link: https://www.peopledrinkwords.com/2021/01/02/maybe-daily-episode-13-black-lives-matter/ You can also listen to more People + Drink = Words content here or at: Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/people-drink-words/id1466132496 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/35mZNoEQ3o0fpjsDhuTk6r Feel free to like, comment, and subscribe!
