Lots of people watch presidential debates. The media makes a big deal out of them. But how much do they actually affect the election? I also talk briefly about UFOs and Lue Elizondo.

There is way too much loose talk about civil war. It would either lead to a total loss of our liberties or it would destroy the country.

Voting for third party candidates in American politics makes people feel better, but it doesn't give them what they want. It's a fantasy. I also address some other topics.

What would have happened to the Southern economy if they had won the war?

If the South hadn't been forced to give up slavery would it have banned it on its own?

The Civil War moved the Republican Party toward abolition. Before the war abolitionists were only a minority of the party. The party platform was to leave slavery alone in the states. Abolitionism was seen as radical.

The South was not fighting for its freedom in the Civil War. Many Southerners saw the Civil War as a war to protect the South from Northern oppression, but there are hardly any similarities between the situation the colonists faced in 1776 and the situation the South faced in 1860.

It's clear that the leadership of the South seceded to protect slavery, but did the North take stances that provoked the South unnecessarily?

The United States is doing some things right now that are leading us down the wrong path.

We have a faction in this country that has captured Washington DC. They are from both parties and they care more about their own power than anything else.

The Star Spangled Banner is intended to make you feel the feeling of patriotism. It's unique among national anthems. Just like America is unique and special among countries. Americans should be proud of their country instead of only dwelling on America's problems. The bad does not overshadow or outweigh the good.

As we learn that there are intelligent beings from other planets, people are going to use the event to try to convince you that there is no God. Don't fall for it.

The first thing we need to do when radicals in the government propose something is to ask, where did we give you the power to do that in the Constitution? Most arguments can be solved this way. If they don't have the power, then there is no point in arguing the merits of their proposal.

Contacting state legislators is a powerful tool that we have, but it usually overlooked. I think most of them are patriots that want to improve their states. We should contact them with our ideas.
