Founded in 1925 by oilman Frank Phillips, Woolaroc is a 3,700 acre working ranch that has a 50,000 square foot museum with a collection described by Christie’s of New York as “one of the finest collections of southwest art in the world” along with the original Lodge home and a large herd of bison, elk, longhorn cattle, scotch highland cattle and hundreds of deer. Woolaroc museum hosts an outstanding collection of western art and artifacts, Native American material, and one of the finest collections of Colt firearms in the world. The name WOOLAROC is derived from three words—the woods, lakes and rocks that make up the beautiful Osage Hills of northeast Oklahoma where Woolaroc is located. The name was originally intended for the rustic Lodge ranch house, but it was so unique that it soon became the name for the entire Frank Phillips ranch. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Will Rogers once said, 'When you are visiting the beauty spots of this country, don't overlook Frank Phillips' ranch and game preserve in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. It's the most unique place in this country.’
Bartlesville is a city mostly in Washington County. The city hosts several annual festivals and shows, nearly all focused in the downtown. Sunfest is the first weekend of June. It includes an arts and crafts show, a music festival, a kids festival, and a classic cars show.

The Pawnee Bill Ranch was once the showplace of the world renowned Wild West Show entertainer Gordon W. Pawnee Bill Lillie. Visitors can tour Pawnee Bill and his wife Mays fourteen room mansion, fully furnished with their original belongings. Their dream home, completed in 1910, is filled with Lillie family memorabilia, photographs, original artwork, and more. The ranch property also houses a museum with exhibits related to Pawnee Bill, Wild West Shows, and the Pawnee tribe. The 500 acre grounds include the original ranch blacksmith shop, a 1903 log cabin, a large barn built in 1926, and an Indian Flower Shrine, all available to the public.
Pawnee is northeast of Stillwater and was named for the Pawnee Tribe, which was relocated to this area between 1873 and 1875. Pawnee is home to the Pawnee people and government.

In 1901, Goodwell was established as a switch along the Chicago and Rock Island Railroad. The switch was named Goodwell because a "good well" was found there. In 1903, Goodwell was established and celebrated its centennial in 2003.
