The video lessons at One Minute Piano are designed to help busy people of all age and skill levels learn how to play the piano.
Chords are the key component to every song ever written. In order to get an in-depth understanding of music, the study of chords is imperative.
Many people today don’t have time to attend piano lessons in person — nor do they have the time to practice an hour every day.
The video lessons at One Minute Piano are designed to provide short bursts of instruction that can be learned quickly.
Even though I will be uploading a new one minute piano lesson every day, you can progress at a pace that is comfortable for you.
Each video lesson will feature On-screen EZ Read Sheet Music with the letter name of each note displayed inside each note head.
This will reduce the time it takes to learn how to read sheet music from the usual 3 to 5 years, to a matter of just a few months. In fact, many students are up and running within a few weeks.
At the bottom of every video lesson, I will include an interactive piano keyboard displaying blue keys to represent right hand notes and gold keys to represent left hand notes.
The interactive keyboard will make it much easier to distinguish right hand notes from left hand notes.
To keep each video lesson as short as possible, commentary will be kept to a minimum, which won’t be a problem since each lesson is designed to be extremely intuitive.
Of course, if you have a question, please post it in the Comments Section. I will respond to all comments within 24 to 48 hours.

One Minute Piano - Lesson 26 - Relax and Listen.
One Minute Piano - Lesson 26 - Relax and Listen.
In this lesson I will play the melody and chords from Lesson 25 in a relaxing solo piano arrangement that will allow you to just listen to your lesson material.
This is the first lesson where you are using broken chords instead of blocked chords with your left hand.
Sometimes it’s good to just relax and listen.
Sitting back and listening helps to develop your ear. Your sense of pitch will grow, along with your sense of rhythm.
I can’t emphasize enough the importance of listening to every song or exercise that you want to learn on the piano.

One Minute Piano - Lesson 23 - Left Hand Broken Chords.
In this lesson you will learn the C, F and G major broken chords for your left hand.
A broken chord is the simple act of playing the notes of any chord individually - (one note at a time).
In Lesson 24, you will learn the right hand melody that goes along with this broken chord progression.
In Lesson 25, you will learn to play your first melody with a left hand broken chord.
And in Lesson 26 I will record a relaxing piano arrangement using the melody and chords from Lesson 25.
This is where you get to sit back, relax and just listen to your lesson.
By developing your listening skills in this relaxed manner, you are actually developing your sense of rhythm. The more you listen, the easier it will be for you to play the exact rhythms from each lesson.
Remember, it’s a process. If you’re willing to go through the process, then you will learn how to play the piano at a very high level.

One Minute Piano - Lesson 22 - Relaxing Piano Music by Guy Faux.
One Minute Piano - Lesson 22
In this lesson I will play the melody and chords from Lesson 21 in a relaxing solo piano arrangement that will allow you to just listen to your lesson material.
I will also include some left hand broken chord embellishments that I will be teaching you in future lessons.
Sometimes it’s good to just relax and listen.
Sitting back and listening helps to develop your ear.
Your sense of pitch will grow, along with your sense of rhythm.
I can’t emphasize enough the importance of listening to every song or exercise that you want to learn on the piano.

"Moment" - by Jonny West - Relaxing Piano Cover by Guy Faux - Example of One Minute Piano.
My relaxing piano cover of “Moment” by Jonny West uses fairly basic chords throughout the song.
The entire song is made up of mostly 3-note major and minor chords and two 4-note 7th chords.
3-note major and minor chords are the easiest chords to learn if you’re just starting to learn how to play the piano.
In fact, there are only 10 chords in the entire song. Of course, if you are just starting out, I wouldn’t throw this many chords at you all at once, and I certainly wouldn’t start you with any chords that contained black keys; which all of these do.
Not that chords with black keys are all that difficult to play.
To be honest, most chords are fairly easy to play on the piano — but when it comes to switching from one chord to another; this can be tricky at first.
Like anything else, there’s a correct way to do it, and a wrong way to do it. In Lesson 11 of One Minute Piano, you will begin to learn the correct way of switching from one chord to another.
https://rumble.com/vbvkdh-one-minute-piano-lesson-11.html
It’s a lot easier to learn chords using the white keys first.
However, in Lesson 5 of One Minute Piano, you will begin to learn chords with black keys — but I limit it to just one chord at a time, and with only one black key at a time.
https://rumble.com/vbm27p-one-minute-piano-beginner-lesson-5.html
And when you get to Lesson 11 where you start playing two different chords — both chords contain only white keys.
If you Subscribe to “One Minute Piano”, you will get a 1 minute piano lesson every day, free of charge.
Why should you learn how to play using the videos at One Minute Piano?

Fire On Fire - Sam Smith - Relaxing Piano Cover by Guy Faux - Soothing Piano Music.
My relaxing piano cover of “Fire On Fire” by Sam Smith uses fairly basic chords throughout the song.
The entire song is made up of basic 3-note major and minor chords. These are the easiest chords to learn if you’re just starting to learn how to play the piano. In fact, there are only 6 chords in the entire song.
The first chord progression consists of C#m, E, G#m and A. The second chord progression consists of F#m, A, C#m and B. That’s basically the entire song.
Of course, if you were just starting out, I wouldn’t throw this many chords at you all at once, and I certainly wouldn’t start you with any chords that contained black keys; which all of these do.

In Lesson 14 of One Minute Piano you will play the melody from Lesson 12 and the chords from Lesson 13. This is where the real fun begins!
This is the first song in the One Minute Piano series where you are being asked to play a more intricate right-hand melody, while playing the chord multiple times in each measure.
I chose the Am and G major chords for this lesson because they are right next to each other on the piano, which will make your chord changes much easier.
I will ease you into more challenging chord changes in the future — but I’ll do it so gradually, you won’t even notice that the difficulty level has increased.

The Long and Winding Road - The Beatles - Piano Cover by Guy Faux
My piano cover of “The Long and Winding Road” by the Beatles uses fairly basic chords throughout the song.
There is an occasional 4-note 7th chord, but most of the song is made up of basic 3-note major and minor chords. These are the easiest chords to learn if you’re just starting to learn how to play the piano.
The first chord progression consists of Cm, Gm, Ab, Eb and then back to an Ab chord.
Of course, if you were just starting out, I wouldn’t throw this many chords at you all at once, and I certainly wouldn’t start you with any chords that contained black keys; which all of these do.

And when you get to Lesson 11 where you start playing two different chords — both chords contain only white keys.
