Elvis Presley - Blue Hawaii - Music Rewind Favorite Clips
Elvis Presley performing Blue Hawaii in 1973. An appropriate clip as I am still on vacation, but one of my personal favorite Elvis tunes.
Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977), often referred to as just ‘Elvis’, was an American singer and actor. Known as the “King of Rock and Roll”, he is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century.
“Blue Hawaii” is a popular song written by Leo Robin and Ralph Rainger for the 1937 Paramount Pictures film Waikiki Wedding, starring Bing Crosby and Shirley Ross. The song subsequently received numerous cover versions, most successfully as the title track of the 1961 Elvis Presley film, the soundtrack of which stayed at #1 on the album chart for twenty consecutive weeks.

David Bowie - Moonage Daydream - Music Rewind Favorite Clips
David Bowie performs Moonage Daydream live in 1973 under his famous persona Ziggy Stardust.
“Moonage Daydream” is a song by English singer-songwriter David Bowie. It was originally recorded in February 1971 at Radio Luxembourg’s studios in London and released as a single by his short-lived band Arnold Corns in May 1971 on B&C Records. Bowie subsequently re-recorded the song later that year with his backing band the Spiders from Mars—comprising Mick Ronson, Trevor Bolder and Mick Woodmansey—for release on his 1972 album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. The re-recording was co-produced by Ken Scott and recorded at Trident Studios in London in November 1971. The re-recording is a glam rock song that uses melodic and harmonic hooks, as well as percussion and guitar influenced by heavy metal. It features saxophone played by Bowie and a guitar solo and string arrangement by Ronson.

Gin Blossoms - Hey Jealousy - Music Rewind Favorite Clips
A classic tune discussed in Music Rewind's Top 5 Songs of Summer, this clip is the Gin Blossoms performing Hey Jealousy at the 1994 Farm Aid.
Top 5 Songs of Summer: https://youtu.be/hWmWAnj3kpk
"Hey Jealousy" is a song by American rock band Gin Blossoms. The song was included on the group's debut album, Dusted (1989), and was re-recorded on their breakthrough 1992 album, New Miserable Experience. It was written by lead guitarist Doug Hopkins, who was fired from the band shortly after the recording of the second album. It became the band's first top-40 single on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1993, reaching number 25, and it also peaked at number 20 in Iceland, number 24 in the United Kingdom, number 28 in Australia, and number 39 in Canada.
"Hey Jealousy" was inspired by Hopkins' desire to get back with his ex-girlfriend Cathy Swafford, who had left him because of his drinking and cheating.[4] Hopkins originally included the line "you can trust me not to drink", but lead singer Robin Wilson insisted on changing "drink" to "think," having grown tired of Hopkins' lyrical references to his drinking problem. Hopkins was upset that Wilson changed the lyric, as it was done to a song he had written after he had been fired as the band's guitarist. When asked about the song after it became a hit, Hopkins expressed discomfort with the track, stating, "It's my song, but I don't enjoy it. I mean, when it comes on the radio, I turn it off, because I don't really want to hear that. It doesn't make me feel good or anything." After the record was certified gold by the RIAA, the Gin Blossoms mailed Hopkins a gold record, which he destroyed a few weeks before his death in 1993.

The Lovin' Spoonful - Summer In The City - Music Rewind Favorite Clips
Music Rewind's Top 5 Songs of Summer drops on 5/22/23 and you know Summer in the City by The Lovin' Spoonful is on that list.
"Summer in the City" is a song by the American pop band the Lovin' Spoonful, written by John Sebastian, Mark Sebastian and Steve Boone. It was released as a single in July 1966 and was included on the album Hums of the Lovin' Spoonful later that year. The single was the Lovin' Spoonful's fifth to break the top ten in the United States and their only to reach No. 1. A departure from the band's lighter sound, the recording features a harder rock style. The lyrics differ from most songs about the summer by lamenting the heat, contrasting the unpleasant warmth and noise of the daytime with the relief offered by the cool night, which allows for the nightlife to begin.
"Summer in the City" has received praise from several music critics and musicologists for its changing major-minor keys and its inventive use of sound effects. The song has been covered by several artists, including Quincy Jones, whose 1973 version won the Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Arrangement and has since been sampled by numerous hip hop artists.

David Gilmour- Echoes - Music Rewind Favorite Clips
David Gilmour performs Echoes live in Gdańsk in 2006 with fellow Pink Floyd member Richard Wright on keyboards/piano.
"Echoes" is originally a song by Pink Floyd, and the sixth and last track on their 1971 album Meddle. It is 23 and a half minutes long and takes up the entire second side of the original LP. The track evolved from a variety of different musical themes and ideas, including instrumental passages and studio effects, resulting in the side-long piece. The music was written by the group, while Roger Waters' lyrics addressed themes of human communication and empathy, which he returned to in later work.
David Gilmour revived "Echoes" for his 2006 On an Island Tour, which featured Richard Wright, but retired the piece after Wright's death in 2008.
