Song Lyrics
If you wanna run away with me, I know a galaxy
And I can take you for a ride
I had a premonition that we fell into a rhythm
Where the music don't stop for life
Glitter in the sky, glitter in my eyes
Shining just the way I like
If you're feeling like you need a little bit of company
You met me at the perfect time
You want me, I want you, baby
My sugarboo, I'm levitating
The Milky Way, we're renegading
Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah
I got you, moonlight, you're my starlight
I need you all night, come on, dance with me
I'm levitating
You, moonlight, you're my starlight (you're the moonlight)
I need you all night, come on, dance with me
I'm levitating
I believe that you're for me, I feel it in our energy
I see us written in the stars
We can go wherever, so let's do it now or never
Baby, nothing's ever, ever too far
Glitter in the sky, glitter in our eyes
Shining just the way we are
I feel like we're forever every time we get together
But whatever, let's get lost on Mars
You want me, I want you, baby
My sugarboo, I'm levitating
The Milky Way, we're renegading
Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah
I got you, moonlight, you're my starlight
I need you all night, come on, dance with me
I'm levitating
You, moonlight, you're my starlight (you're the moonlight)
I need you all night, come on, dance with me
I'm levitating
You can fly away with me tonight
You can fly away with me tonight
Baby, let me take you for a ride
Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah
I'm levitating (woo)
You can fly away with me tonight
You can fly away with me tonight
Baby, let me take you for a ride
Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah (woo)
My love is like a rocket, watch it blast off
And I'm feeling so electric, dance my ass off
And even if I wanted to, I can't stop
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
My love is like a rocket, watch it blast off
And I'm feeling so electric, dance my ass off
And even if I wanted to, I can't stop
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
You want me, I want you, baby
My sugarboo, I'm levitating
The Milky Way, we're renegading
I got you (yeah), moonlight, you're my starlight
I need you all night (all night), come on, dance with me
I'm levitating (woo)
You can fly away with me tonight (tonight)
You can fly away with me tonight
Baby, let me take you for a ride
Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah (take you for a ride)
I'm levitating (woo)
You can fly away with me tonight (tonight)
You can fly away with me tonight
Baby, let me take you for a ride
Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah (let me take you for a ride)
I got you, moonlight, you're my starlight (you are my starlight)
I need you all night, come on, dance with me (come on, dance with me)
I'm levitating
You, moonlight, you're my starlight (you're the moonlight)
I need you all night, come on, dance with me

Sugar Band Dance Party
Mystic, CT Dance Party!
Featuring Sugar Band
Mystic Seaport Museum
June 5, 2021
I was able to fly all the way across an enormous field using my handheld gimbal video camera. I walked at least a couple hundred feet; it's a great flyover! And the crowd was friendly and fun; everybody's dancing and picnicking and having a great time!
Featuring six songs - 21 minutes of danceable fun! It includes some naturally-occurring video aberrations, too! For the tech nerd in you, check out how the lighting changes when I get up close, and the sound changes, too. I think the right polarizing filter on the camera will help a lot, and a second camera doing A-roll somewhere in the middle of the field would be optimal, with my "good" mic on it! The kit I brought I could literally carry in my pocket! It's a lightweight recorder that delivers tons of good footage!
When Whitney Houston died (2012), she left a challenging legacy, and today we're reminded of the task set before only those singers who dare face it. Rickie Louise Miller rises to the occasion and aces the ultimate modern-day singer test; performing "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)" (1987), a Houston classic filled with razor-sharp hooks and soaring highs only the brightest stars can touch. But we have a spoiler in the wings, as Rickie's contemporary, the uber-talented Talia Rosso, who also sings for Sugar, already left a permanent impression in our musical heads with her slaughtering of the entire curriculum in North Stonington in 2019, including the hit in question. Choose for yourselves, my friends. I like the way the spices are blending with this band, no matter what!
Personally, I have a new fondness for maritime museums! This one rocks! :)

Mark Urso @ River Song | John Cockers
With Brandon Raimondo
Written by John Mellencamp
John Cockers
I don't accommodate nobody! I just take care of myself
Got a house down on a dusty road - I don't need nobody else
I got a wife and some kids ... I don't know where they're at
I know many many people, but I ain't got no friends
Well I used to have some values; now they just make me laugh
I used to think things would work out fine but they never did do that
All these bosses and the rules! It's hard for me to fit in
Must be ten million people, but I ain't got no friends
Well I'm a little isolated! - I live most days in my head!
And when I go to sleep at night I got no sheets on my bed
I'm a little hard headed ... I can't wait for this to end
I see people coming and going, but I ain't a got no friends
Well I look out of my window into the darkness of night
My head gets to spinning so I shut out the light
I don't care if I see tomorrow! If I had a reason I'd pretend
I know one thing for certain! I ain't a got no friends
Well one of these days my anger, get the best of my soul
In one desperate moment I'm gonna dig me a hole
I'm gonna lie down in it and let be what will be
When the morning sun rises there'll be no one to mourn for me
When the morning sun rises there'll be no one to mourn for me
I don't accommodate nobody! I just take care of myself
Got a house down on a dusty road - I don't need nobody else
I got a wife and some kids ... I don't know where they're at
I know many many people, but I ain't got no friends
I know many many people, but I ain't got no friends

Mark Urso @ River Song | Rollin'
A great old Randy Newman Song.
I originally heard this on a Mollie O'Brien album.
Performed by Mark Urso
Rollin
I never drink in the afternoon
I never drink alone
But I sure do like a drink or two
When I get home!
Every evening what I do
I sit here in this chair
I pour myself some whiskey
And watch my troubles vanish into the air
Rollin', I'm rollin'
Ain't gonna worry no more!
Rollin', rollin'
Ain't gonna worry no more!
I used to worry about gamblin'
Throwin' my money away
I used to worry about wastin' time
Layin' round the house all day!
But I'm alright now!
I'm alright now
I never thought I'd make it but I always do somehow!
I'm alright now!
Rollin', I'm rollin'
Ain't gonna worry no more!
Rollin', rollin'
Ain't gonna worry no more!

Mark Urso @ River Song | Indian Sunset
Written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin
From the album "Madman Across the Water"
Performed by Mark Urso
This is a beautiful, rambling ballad typical of some of the cultural topical stuff Elton John produced in the 1970's. This is from "Madman Across The Water" (1971), words by Bernie Taupin. It's about an Indian who finds himself alone when his tribe is lost at war. It's a big brown bear to play and sing. :)
Indian Sunset (John/Taupin) Lyrics
As I awoke this evening with the smell of wood smoke clinging
Like a gentle cobweb hanging upon a painted tepee
Oh I went to see my chieftain with my war lance and my woman
Oh he told us that the yellow moon would very soon be leaving
This I can't believe I said, I can't believe our warlord's dead
Oh he would not leave the chosen ones to the buzzards and the soldiers guns
Oh great father of the Iroquois ever since I was young
I've read the writing of the smoke and breast fed on the sound of drums
I've learned to hurl the tomahawk and ride a painted pony wild
To run the gauntlet of the Sioux, to make a chieftain's daughter mine
And now you ask that I should watch my red man's race be slowly crushed
What kind of words are these to hear! From Yellow Dog whom white man fears!
(transition)
I take only what is mine Lord, my pony, my squaw, and my child
I can't stay here to see you die, along with my tribe's pride
I go to search for the yellow moon and the fathers of our sons
Where the red sun sinks in the hills of gold and the healing waters run
Trampling down the prairie rose, leaving hoof tracks in the sand
Those who wish to follow me, I welcome with my hands
I heard from passing renegades Geronimo was dead
He'd been laying down his weapons when they filled him full of lead
(transition)
Now there seems no reason why I should carry on
In this land that once was my land I can't find a home
It's lonely and it's quiet and the horse soldiers are coming
And I think it's time I strung my bow and ceased my senseless running
For soon I'll find the yellow moon along with my loved ones
Where the buffaloes graze in clover fields without the sound of guns
And the red sun sinks at last into the hills of gold
And peace to this young warrior comes with a bullet hole

Mark Urso @ River Song | Stardust
Stardust
Who's got two minutes and forty-four seconds to spare? Go!
This song was written in 1927. It was the theme for our AM radio station's (Westerly, RI) nostalgic music format, many years-ago. Stardust was on my license plate. After all the years, I conceded the MANY varieties of notations of this song weren't working for me on guitar, so I arranged it myself. I wrote all the chords you see me playing, and when I was done, I remember thinking it was kind of amazing that I didn't listen to the song once, and I don't think I've heard it in years. It's just in there, in my brain. It's a pretty good arrangement! What do you think?

LYRICS
And now the purple dusk of twilight time
Steals across the meadows of my heart
High up in the sky the little stars climb
Always reminding me that we're apart
You wander down the lane and far away]
Leaving me a song that will not die
Love is now the stardust of yesterday
The music of the years gone by
Sometimes I wonder why I spend
The lonely night dreaming of a song
The melody haunts my reverie
And I am once again with you
When our love was new
And each kiss an inspiration
But, but that was long ago, and now my consolation
Is in the stardust of a song
Beside the garden wall when stars are bright!
You are in my arms The nightingale tells his fairytale
Of paradise, where roses bloom
Though I dream in vain
In my heart it will remain
My stardust melody
The memory of love's refrain
And though I dream in vain, in my heart there always will remain
My stardust melody
The memory of love's refrain

Enya EA-X4 Pro Carbon Fiber Acoustic Guitar
This review of the EA-X4 Pro Carbon Fiber Acoustic Guitar is intended for people somewhat familiar with the instrument. I don't go into a basic description, but you'll see the functions and features even if you're just hearing about this new product. I receive no compensation for my review. I picked this guitar up a couple weeks ago. It arrived from a USA origin within 4 days in very good shape. I changed the strings to Thomastik 10s, but otherwise I'm playing this guitar "out of the box." It required no other adjustment.

Cheerleader - OMI
When I need motivation
My one solution is my queen
'Cause she stay strong, yeah, yeah
She is always in my corner
Right there when I want her
All these other girls are tempting
But I'm empty when you're gone
[Pre-Chorus]
And they say
Do you need me?
Do you think I'm pretty?
Do I make you feel like cheating?
And I'm like no, not really 'cause
[Chorus]
Oh, I think that I found myself a cheerleader
She is always right there when I need her
Oh, I think that I found myself a cheerleader
She is always right there when I need her
[Verse 2]
She walks like a model
She grants my wishes like a genie in a bottle, yeah, yeah
'Cause I'm the wizard of love
And I got the magic wand
All these other girls are tempting
But I'm empty when you're gone
And they say
[Pre-Chorus]
And they say
Do you need me?
Do you think I'm pretty?
Do I make you feel like cheating?
And I'm like no, not really 'cause
[Chorus]
Oh, I think that I found myself a cheerleader
She is always right there when I need her
Oh, I think that I found myself a cheerleader
She is always right there when I need her
[Bridge]
Hmm, she gives me love and affection
Baby, did I mention?
You're the only girl for me
No, I don't need a next one
Mama loves you too
She thinks I made the right selection
Now all that's left to do
Is just for me to pop the question
[Chorus]
Oh, I think that I found myself a cheerleader
She is always right there when I need her
Oh, I think that I found myself a cheerleader
She is always right there when I need her
Oh, I think that I found myself a cheerleader
She is always right there when I need her
Oh, I think that I found myself a cheerleader
She is always right there when I need her

Performing at the Pheonix nightclub in Pawcatuck, CT
Featuring Rickie Louise Miller, vocal and percussion, and Brian Merritt, vocal and guitar.
This was the band's debut live performance, September 2021.
Miller does not normally sing with this band, but joined them for this very special performance. The band was outstanding!
The song is by Sneaker Pimps.
Lyrics
Take me down
6 underground
The ground beneath your feet
Laid out low
Nothing to go
Nowhere a way to meet
I've got a head full of drought
Down here
So far off of losing out
Round here
Overground, watch this space
I'm open to falling from grace
Calm me down
Bring it round
Too way high off your street
I can see
Like nothing else
In me
You're better than I wannabe
Don't think 'cos I understand
I care,
Don't think 'cos I'm talking
We're friends
Overground, watch this space
I'm open to falling from grace
Talk me down
Safe and sound,
Too strung up to sleep
Wear me out
Scream and shout
Swear my time's never cheap
I fake my life like I've lived
Too much,
I take whatever you're given, not enough
Overground, watch this
Space, I'm open
I fake my life like I've lived
Too much,
I take whatever you're given, not enough
Overground, watch this
Space, I'm open
To falling
From grace.

The audio quality using this microphone (Rode Videomic Pro X) mounted on top of the video camera (Canon XA-30), a hundred feet from the band, is outstanding.
Through this $1000 microphone, with almost zero wind today, and courtesy of some very nice people all around me who didn't talk too loud ... what you hear is spectacularly spot-on what it sounded like from where I was standing. And from that far away, that's some impressive outdoor-venue sound shaping. Outstanding all around!

Sugar @ Mystic Seaport | There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back
There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back, Sugar, Mystic, June 2021 (Music Video)
An outstanding rendition of Shawn Mendes' "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back," performed by some of the region's most talented musicians, featuring Rickie Louise Miller on vocal, with Marcy Kelly and Sugar, the band that fills the dance floor, every time, on the first note.
This footage is essentially unedited. The camera guy did good, and didn't need to splice his way to a smooth and enjoyable experience. All I did was some color correction; shot with a single camera, no splices. There was a great turnout for the outdoor show at the Mystic Seaport, and as happens sometimes, Marcy let Rickie take the wheel for much of the show; Marcy manages the band but it's a two-girl show with three girls sharing the duties, which, in my opinion, has led to some endlessly fascinating combinations of style and personality, and a hugely wide basket of tunes. And when Marcy lets go of the reins, she has lots of time to dance! Just watch! :)
I'm taming the Osmo gimbal vidcam! And what a wonderful show it was on this beautiful sunny day!

Side note: On Rumble's website you CAN increase the resolution of the video as high as 4k (in this case). Rumble, for some reason, defaults the video to the smallest size, and the "button" to increase the size doesn't show up until AFTER you've started playing the video. It's a little non-intuitive. Just hit play, then the video starts, then there should be a chooser in the bottom right area.
This way, you can really TURN IT UP! :)
