How Long Before SpaceX's Next Starship Launch?
💕 Thanks for watching my video 💕
Between the first full Starship flight back in April, and the second test just days ago, it took SpaceX around 7 months of time to prepare. This included a host of testing, pad repairs, infrastructure updates, and of course FAA approval. In reality, this was a decent bit longer than the company had hoped as hardware was ready to launch long before the second flight was approved.
With the completion of IFT-2, the question now becomes how long before SpaceX can be back on the pad and ready for a third flight. Recent comments from the company suggest that hardware could be ready to launch in around 1 month. However, that doesn't include very important factors like approval and any possible roadblocks. Here I will go more in-depth into Starship's next launch, what the company needs to complete, possible complications, and more.

Sierra Space Is About To Begin Full-Scale LIFE Habitat Testing....
💕 Thanks for watching my video 💕
When trying to build space stations, the cost and size of the structure is a major limiting factor. Launch vehicles are limited in how big of an object they can fit within their fairings and if you need multiple missions to assemble the structure, it will be very expensive. Sierra Space is trying to solve this with an inflatable habitat named LIFE.
LIFE stands for Large Integrated Flexible Environment and can expand to 27 feet or 8.2 meters when fully inflated. For months now we have watched pressure tests on smaller test articles to ensure it can withstand the space environment. However, the company just announced that they are about to test a full-scale system for the first time. Specifically, next month in December, at the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, they will push the unit to its limits.
The test will consist of continually pressurizing the inflatable until it bursts, gathering data on its exact limits and constraints. Here I will go more in-depth into this upcoming test, why it’s so significant, the future of inflatable habitats, and more.

Will New Glenn Be Ready For Its First Mission In 2024?
💕 Thanks for watching my video 💕
Blue Origin was founded around the same time as SpaceX but has taken a very different path than the other company. They decided to start small and with a launch vehicle meant for missions to the edge of space. This gave them an opportunity to learn about engine development, crew safety, and propulsive landings, just to name a few.
While even New Shepard has recently run into a few issues, the company’s primary goal for a long time now has been New Glenn. This partially reusable heavy-lift launch vehicle is an ambitious step up from the small suborbital rocket but it’s the path Blue Origin decided to take. As of right now, the company is still targeting 2024 for the first launch of this rocket.
Even though Blue Origin is not very transparent and keeps the majority of developments to itself, this seems extremely ambitious. Here I will go more in-depth into the company’s progress, the 2024 launch date, what to expect in the coming months, and more.

Is the UK space industry about to take off?
💕 Thanks for watching my video 💕
The failure of Virgin Orbit’s maiden commercial satellite launch from British soil, and the company’s subsequent filing for bankruptcy protection, may have seemed like a fatal blow for the U.K’s nascent space sector. But a range of companies hope to play a key role in the business of building, launching and operating satellites, a $281 billion industry which has been growing rapidly over the past decade.
Billionaire-backed companies like Elon Musk’s SpaceX, Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin and Richard Branson’s Virgin Orbit have been revolutionising the space industry over the last decade, which has seen advances in re-usable rockets, the deployment of thousands of small communication satellites and new launch sites opened.
To find out how smaller U.K.-based firms are looking to compete, CNBC visited a spaceport being built in the far north of the Shetland Islands, an established satellite-builder and a start-up aiming to see one of its re-usable satellites finally make it into space.

Crewed Mars Mission on Philip Bono's Mars Glider
💕 Thanks for watching my video 💕
In the year 1960, Philip Bono, a highly specialized Space Vehicle Design Specialist affiliated with the Boeing Airplane Company, formulated a conceptualization of a pioneering manned spacecraft intended for Mars. The outward visage of this spacecraft was fashioned in a manner which exhibited similarities to the X-20A Dyna-Soar single-seat orbital glider concurrently under development at his organization on behalf of the United States Air Force. However, Bono's cerebral rendition of the Mars glider embodied noteworthy dimensional dissimilarities when compared to the Dyna-Soar -- namely, it was of an enormity that was capable of accommodating an eight-man "expeditionary force," and nearly 40 tons of supplies and equipment. The prodigious Mars glider boasted a flat-bellied physique that spanned a monumental 125 feet in length, and an impressive 95 feet across its delta wings.
The Mars glider, once fully assembled and loaded with liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen propellants, stood at a towering height of 248 feet, weighing in at an impressive 4150 tons. This colossal spacecraft was encompassed by six elongated outboard booster rockets, designed to enshroud and conceal the short booster, living module/rocket stage, and the majority of the aft portion of the glider.
Bono's original vision of the Mars glider was equipped with scientific instruments that would enable it to scrutinize the Red Planet's surface and atmosphere. This glider would harness the power of its wings to generate lift, and it would have been controlled remotely from the mother ship. The spacecraft would have been launched from a mother ship which was stationed in orbit around Mars.
Even though the Mars Glider concept never came to complete fruition nor was it ever launched, it nevertheless played a consequential role in the technological advancements of other Mars exploration technologies. Additionally, this epoch-making conceptualization inspired a plethora of forthcoming space exploration concepts.

Why NASA’s Space Launch System Could Be Replaced
💕 Thanks for watching my video 💕
The Space Launch System rocket might not be the best option for NASA’s planned return to the Moon. A new 35-page report released just days ago by the agency’s OIG encourages NASA to look for possible replacements. This comes after continued schedule delays and cost increases, with no plan of slowing down.
It’s important to point out that the Artemis program (responsible for returning humans to the Moon) is huge, and involves many missions. This in turn requires a lot of SLS rockets, even some upgraded versions as time goes on. The new agency audit however believes that it’s in NASA’s best interest to consider alternative options within the commercial industry, as they have begun to do with other missions and projects.
If not, they are concerned that the development of this rocket will only add more delays and increase mission costs in the long term. While companies within the commercial industry like SpaceX, could have a better option within that timeframe. Here I will go more in-depth into what this audit found, the current state of SLS, possible alternatives, and more.

Starlink Is Beginning To Actually Make Money
💕 Thanks for watching my video 💕
After years of launching and thousands of satellites now in orbit, Starlink has achieved breakeven cash flow. In the past, they met this milestone relative to satellite-specific costs and revenue while not including the cost of launching the hardware. This time, even with the cost of practically constant Falcon 9 missions, they are making enough revenue to offset these expenses.
This is big news for the company as they only plan to grow from here with tens of thousands of satellites still set to launch in the future. Combine this with continued work on Starship, SpaceX’s next-generation launch vehicle capable of launching hundreds of Starlink satellites at a time, and we could start to see a serious increase in coverage. Here I will go more in-depth into the finances of Starlink, the cadence of launches, plans for the future.. and more
