Shriners Practicing on Their Drift Trikes Before the Parade Starts
At various parades over the years, I have seen the Shriners in mini-cars and on mini-motorcyles. However, this was the first time that I had seen them on drift trikes! In fact, I had to Google what exactly these bikes were called.

From what I found online, it is basically a Big Wheel tricycle with a motor on it. This is neat and looks like lots of fun to ride on!

I Wore My Great Grandma's Shamrock Pin in a St. Patrick's Day Parade!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!! I'm happy today to celebrate that my family's heritage is part Irish! On the paternal side of my family, my Great Great Grandma Anna (as well as all of the older branches of her part of the family tree) and her husband's parents, my Great Great Great Grandparents (and the older branches of their parts of the family tree), were from Ireland. As Irish Catholics, they immigrated to the USA during the 19th century. On the maternal side of my family, my Great Great Great Grandpa Thomas (and the older branches of his part of the family tree) was from Ireland. He also immigrated to the USA during the 19th century.

After my Great Grandma passed away, I received some items that had belonged to her, including the vintage shamrock pin that I wore in today's parade for good luck!
I hope that you have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day!

BLACKWORK EMBROIDERY | 16th Century Pattern Step by Step | #shorts
Watch as I embroider one of my Tudor blackwork embroidery projects. This project was based on two Elizabethan patterns found on Jane Bostocke's English sampler from 1598 (located at the V&A Museum).

For this 16th century inspired project, I am using twisted black silk thread on white linen fabric, on a slate frame. I counted every third hole per stitch.

Easy Homemade HONEY BUTTER
Easy step by step tutorial for making honey butter in less than 5 minutes!
❤️ SUBSCRIBE IF YOU LIKE THIS VIDEO AND WANT MORE ❤️
In my opinion, honey butter is delicious on top of freshly baked bread and cornbread muffins!
** If you like to add a little bit of extra flavoring to your honey butter, you can vanilla extract or salt to your mixture.
Recipe:
- 8 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 Tbsp honey
- Optional additions: 1/8 tsp vanilla extract or 1/8 tsp finely ground sea salt
* For this video, I divided the portions by 1/4 (so 2 Tbsp unsalted butter and 2 1/4 tsp honey .... to help with your math when dividing ingredients in a recipe, 1 Tbsp = 3 tsp)
Note:
Store in an airtight container. Honey butter will keep for up to 5 days at room temperature or up to a month in the refrigerator.

REPAIRING 2 Bush Hog Mower Blades with an INDUCTION FORGE | BLACKSMITH
The nearly instant spot heating of an induction forge makes the tool particularly useful for repairs and adjustments on finished or nearly finished work. We're going to showcase a little bit of that today with repair works on two well-worn blades from a large mower.

For his most recent project, my blacksmith husband is repairing two Bush Hog blades for a rotary cutter. Remember, “If it doesn’t say Bush Hog, it just won’t cut it.”
