Mercy is more important than sacrifice. It is lawful to do good on a sabbath day. Jesus, the Son of Man, is the Lord of the Sabbath.

Tax collectors are considered as sinners, but what about the rest of us? Self-righteousness often blinded our eyes. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God".

Jesus is the Son of God and he has the power to heal a paralyzed man and has the authority to forgive his sins as well.

Leprosy symbolizes our sins. Our souls need to be healed from sins.
