In recent months, a synthetic compound derived from hemp called THC-O acetate—often referred to simply as THC-O (pronounced “THC oh”)—has quickly gained popularity among Americans who don’t have access to legal cannabis. THC-O products are increasingly popular in states where consumers don’t have access to legal cannabis. THC-O’s appeal lies in its potency and its legal status. Research has found that it’s roughly three times stronger than conventional THC. Because it’s derived from federally legal hemp, THC-O products are becoming increasingly popular in the states where consumers don’t have access to legal, state-licensed delta-9 THC products. To derive THC-O from hemp, first CBD is converted to delta-8 or a similar THC modification. But it goes one step further. By adding Acetic Anhydride to the mix, it becomes an acetate—specifically, THC-O. What does THC-O feel like? How is it different from delta-8, -9, and -10? Delta-8 and delta-10 are both milder, and generally less intoxicating, than traditional delta-9 THC. THC-O is significantly stronger than not only delta-8 and -10, but also regular THC. Some consumers have reported a more spiritual high with strong effects that can even border on hallucinogenic. Like any drug, effects and tolerance are going to vary from person to person. THC-O acetate, or THC-O, is a synthetic analog (or chemical twin) of THC. That means that although THC-O is indeed a cannabinoid, it’s not naturally occurring and can only be safely manufactured via contemporary cannabis tech. THC-O is derived from federally legal hemp and contains no delta-9 THC. THC-O’s potency and chemical composition, however, do suggest an uncertain future. THC-O, though derived from hemp, is technically analogous to a Schedule I drug (cannabis), and could arguably be a Schedule I drug itself based on the 1986 Federal Analogue Act. As long as its supply chain can be traced back to federally legal hemp, though, THC-O exists in enough of a gray area to slip under the regulatory radar, for now anyway. It differs from many dissociatives such as ketamine and phencyclidine (PCP) that were developed as pharmaceutical drugs for use as general anesthetics in that it was designed specifically for recreational use. Methoxetamine (MXE) is a dissociative drug, which means it causes people to feel separated or detached from their body or physical environment. Dissociatives are similar to psychedelics, they can cause hallucinations and other changes in thoughts, emotions and consciousness. A white powder, chemically related to dissociative anaesthetics like ketamine and PCP, with similar effects. The name MXE stands for methoxetamine, or its full name, 2-(3-methoxyphenyl)-2-(ethylamino) cyclohexanone. MXE is a drug from the arylcyclohexylamines family of compounds. Arylcyclohexylamines also include ketamine and PCP, which are two drugs that have been around for decades and have been used for anesthesia in humans and animals. In contrast, MXE is a much more recently developed substance, which has been specifically developed and used as a recreational drug. MXE differs from ketamine on a molecular level. Initial reports indicate that despite its semi-legal status, MXE has longer-lasting and more intense effects than ketamine. There have not been any formal studies to demonstrate exactly how MXE works, but it is assumed to work in the same way that ketamine does by affecting the brain's neurotransmitters and acting on their receptors. In addition to glutamate and aspartate one of the neurotransmitters thought to be affected is dopamine, which is associated with feelings of euphoria, and has a role in many addictions, including substance use disorders. Given the fact that it has only emerged as a recreational drug in the last decade, very little is known about how to manage the medical consequences of the drug, making it a risky substance to take. Also Known As: Methoxetamine is also known as MXE, m-ket (sometimes written as m ket), k max, k-maxx, kmaxx), mexxy (sometimes written as mexy, mexxi), mexxiem, mkat, mxxe, methoxatamine, methoxetimine, and methoxetamin. Drug Class: MXE is an arylcyclohexylamine. It's classified as a dissociative hallucinogen. Common Side Effects: MXE can cause increased energy, euphoria, auditory and visual hallucinations, disassociation (m-hole), severe ataxia, nystagmus. There are several ways that people take MXE. Some take it orally or sublingually (under the tongue). Some take it by nasal insufflation or snorting it into the nose. It can also be inserted into the rectum, where it's absorbed into the bloodstream, or injected into a muscle. Like other psychoactive drugs, the MXE high is described as pleasurable and includes stimulant, relaxant, and dissociative effects. Valium is a prescription medicine used to treat symptoms of anxiety, muscle spasm, alcohol withdrawal and as a sedative before surgery or to treat seizures. Valium may be used alone or with other medications. Valium (diazepam) is a benzodiazepine derivative. The chemical name of diazepam is 7-chloro-1,3-dihydro-1-methyl-5-phenyl-2H-1,4-benzodiazepin- 2-one. Valium is available for oral administration as tablets containing 2 mg, 5 mg or 10 mg diazepam. In addition to the active ingredient diazepam, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: anhydrous lactose, corn starch, pregelatinized starch and calcium stearate with the following dyes: 5-mg tablets contain FD&C Yellow No. 6 and D&C Yellow No. 10; 10-mg tablets contain FD&C Blue No. 1. Valium 2-mg tablets contain no dye. The report by John Hopkins University, published in the Journal of Psychopharmacology, concluded that the DMT experience was one of the most “personally meaningful, spiritually significant, or psychologically insightful” of people’s lives. Lasting anywhere between a few minutes and several hours – depending on how much you take and the method you do so – DMT appears to have the ability to permanently alter a person’s outlook on life. 90 per cent of respondents in the study reported improved life satisfaction and wellbeing after taking the drug, while 80 per cent said they found meaning and purpose. More than half of those who identified as atheist before the experience no longer did afterwards. Located in the center of the brain, scientists are yet to establish the full function of the pineal gland. One thing they do know is that it produces melatonin, a hormone that’s activated when the sun goes down, which makes you feel less alert and regulates your sleeping pattern. Sometimes known as the ‘third eye’, the pineal gland is often believed to connect the spiritual and physical worlds, as it supposedly provides perception beyond ordinary sight. In his 2001 book, DMT: The Spirit Molecule, Rick Strassman hypothesized that the pineal gland, which detects daylight, is responsible for the production and release of DMT, which he says is released at the moments of birth and death. Can the use of psychedelic drugs induce lasting changes in metaphysical beliefs? While it is popularly believed that they can, this question has never been formally tested. Here we exploited a large sample derived from prospective online surveying to determine whether and how beliefs concerning the nature of reality, consciousness, and free-will, change after psychedelic use. Results revealed significant shifts away from ‘physicalist’ or ‘materialist’ views, and towards panpsychism and fatalism, post use. With the exception of fatalism, these changes endured for at least 6 months, and were positively correlated with the extent of past psychedelic-use and improved mental-health outcomes. Path modelling suggested that the belief-shifts were moderated by impressionability at baseline and mediated by perceived emotional synchrony with others during the psychedelic experience. The observed belief-shifts post-psychedelic-use were consolidated by data from an independent controlled clinical trial. Together, these findings imply that psychedelic-use may causally influence metaphysical beliefs—shifting them away from ‘hard materialism’. We discuss whether these apparent effects are contextually independent. Paradigmatic metaphysical positions can be found in physicalism (or materialism), idealism and dualism. Proponents of physicalism maintain that the nature of reality is fundamentally physical and all mental properties derive from this basic property, the position of idealism states that all physical properties derive from a fundamental reality which is mental (e.g., an irreducible, fundamental and pervasive consciousness) and dualism states that the nature of reality consists of two separate properties. People over the millennia have reported having deeply moving religious experiences either spontaneously or while under the influence of psychedelic substances such as psilocybin-containing mushrooms or the Amazonian brew ayahuasca, and a portion of those experiences have been encounters with what the person regards as “God” or “ultimate reality.” In a survey of thousands of people who reported having experienced personal encounters with God, Johns Hopkins researchers report that more than two-thirds of self-identified atheists shed that label after their encounter, regardless of whether it was spontaneous or while taking a psychedelic. . #God #Religion #Psychedelics #LowkeyFish . Tramadol belongs to a class of drugs known as opioid analgesics. It works in the brain to change how your body feels and responds to pain. Tramadol, sold under the brand name Ultram among others, is an opioid pain medication used to treat moderate to moderately severe pain. When taken by mouth in an immediate-release formulation, the onset of pain relief usually begins within an hour. It is also available by injection. It is available in combination with paracetamol (acetaminophen). As is typical of opioids, common side effects include constipation, itchiness, and nausea. Serious side effects may include hallucinations, seizures, increased risk of serotonin syndrome, decreased alertness, and drug addiction. Here, the ring is bonded to a dimethylamine group connected through a methyl bridge. Tramadol (a schedule IV drug in the US) is used primarily to treat mild to severe pain, both acute and chronic. It is also used to relieve panic attacks (sudden, unexpected attacks of extreme fear and worry about these attacks). Clonazepam is in a class of medications called benzodiazepines. It works by decreasing abnormal electrical activity in the brain. Clonazepam comes as a tablet and an orally disintegrating tablet (tablet that dissolves quickly in the mouth) to take by mouth. It usually is taken one to three times a day with or without food. Take clonazepam at around the same time(s) every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Clonazepam is also used to treat symptoms of akathisia (restlessness and a need for constant movement) that may occur as a side effect of treatment with antipsychotic medications (medications for mental illness) and to treat acute catatonic reactions (state in which a person does not move or speak at all or moves or speaks abnormally).
