Rat traps don't catch squirrels but just annoy them. Squirrels are too fast for rat traps to work. But if you just want to scare squirrels away, a trap set for rats that is found by a squirrel, will annoy a squirrel for a while. Squirrels tend to come back anyway and sometimes the same squirrel will set off several rat traps. Silly and Fun.

Can't be sure these traps had bait in them. Leaving bait in them when not needed can cause other critters to get trapped. When the camera shows Rat or Mouse activity, then add bait. Rats and mice tend to stick around along a previously marked path. You can stop watching at 17 seconds. Nothing happens after that.
