Line Upon Line

Heb. 6:1-2... The elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of (ONE)repentance from dead works and of(TWO) faith toward God, of the (THREE)doctrine of baptisms, (FOUR) of laying on of hands, (FIVE) of resurrection of the dead, and(SIX) of eternal judgment.

God's Laws teach us principles about His character and are a means of expressing love for Him. His laws teach us how to properly worship God and how to love our fellow man. Jesus made a very revealing statement to the leaders regarding who the Sabbath was made to serve. He said the day was made to serve us believers.

Paul is warning believers that they must have a deep understanding of the doctrines of Christ to survive. Many were showing signs of backsliding and that their foundational understanding was weak and immature. He is saying some of you are spiritual infants and easy prey to fall away.

Did the Apostle Paul say that he and believers were going immediately, directly to heaven upon death? Tunnel vision is used by those who approach the Bible with inherited worldly doctrines, and then try to view only those verses that seem to support what they want to believe. Note the following scripture for just one such example.

This message from the Apostle to the gentiles has spiritual and very helpful and inspiring information for believers. However as in all Bible books, much of the message is misunderstood. Colossians focuses on the head of the church, Jesus Christ. Colossians divides neatly in half- with the first half focused on doctrinal issues primarily, and the second half focused mostly on pragmatic, Christian living. Paul has extra concern for this congregation because it is one of those started by his disciple Epaphras. He has never seen them. They only know Paul by reputation.

What is a mark it is some stamp or sign showing ownership. Therefore the mark of the beast is something by which all its worshipers should be known. In ancient days slaves were sometimes branded, as cattle are in our own age. The brand or mark of the beast would be some indelible sign which would designate with certainty those who were subject to his authority.

THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE IS 'WHY' GOD CHOOSES TO SHELTER US ­ NOT HOW OR WHERE Most prophecies are given as warnings by Prophets and emphasize why disaster is coming and who is with God and who is not with God and His protection. God sends His words of warning to His people normally based on their behavior. Those who are in a loving close relationship with God are protected, and those backsliding into idolatry are cursed. God no longer protects them.

SHOULD A BELIEVER FOLLOW HIS HEART WITH REGARD TO GOD ? Books and movies have admonished us to follow our hearts and all our wishes will come true. Is this good advice for a true believer? Well, what should our hearts and desires set as the ideal goal? Obviously wealth does not bring happiness. One should seek our hearts desire regarding vocations and business goals etc. if they are reasonable. Getting and staying close to God should be the number one goal of our hearts.

Our spiritual growth as true believers, is desperately in need of the accurate words of God which are truly the real spiritual food. Christ said it is vital to our growth and survival even more than physical nourishment.

Communities without solid fatherhood or absent fathering suffer greatly - especially the children. Young men and boys are performing worse in school than in the past, why? The rate of new young family formations is significantly lower than in the past. Why? Most of all, why are these trends of male failures not being discussed widely​? Is any action plan to improve the situation existing? Young men have higher unemployment rates than women. The decline of men is getting little or no attention? The world has adopted family destructive philosophies. Worldly wisdom is not tethered to reality.

THE SECOND AND THIRD EXAMPLES OF MEETINGS ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK The second example of a meeting on the first day is often used, the resurrection was covered in part one. The second one is:

During the first few decades of the New Testament church, everyone in the church were either Jews or a small number of converts to Judaism. Further, as Jews how did they view the Seventh Day Sabbath? It was unquestionably kept and supported by all sects. Jewish sects had disagreements about various doctrines like the resurrection, see Acts 23:6-8 , but all sects supported the Sabbath. Why? It was the sign signifying who was your God. Were you worshiping the true God of Israel the creator God, or the pagan's sun god. It is the test commandment which they all learned from the first captivity NOT TO BREAK.

The book of Daniel reveals details of world events many centuries before they happened. Daniel could not have known any of these details without God's inspiration. This book verifies the authenticity of the Bible. This book was so important that the adversary of God and mankind tried to block the information from reaching the prophet. Note the tale of awesome spiritual warfare involved in His bringing these prophetic messages to this beloved prophet.

The Bible is consistent with all major science fields. Let us look at astronomy. Many of the statements we will list were written thousands of years before scientific tools existed to reveal such facts. This was supported thousands of years before Columbus proved the earth was round.

One of the major bones of contention with the people of Israel and God was their idolatry and a major portion of this idolatry was the Queen of Heaven

If society is no longer interested in God then most would not care. Christmas on any date is a chance for extreme materialism and partying. The fastest growing segment in surveys of religion in America is not Islam - it is the Nones. The Nones are those with NO religious beliefs at all. They have no church affiliation. But true believers should care about biblical truth. The Roman Universal Church decided to place the date on the day of THE pagan sun god worship as a method of converting pagans in the Roman Empire to Catholicism. This was the primary motive for the December date. Could this possibly be the date of Jesus' birth as well? No! Absolutely not! What evidence does exist regarding the birth of Christ PROVES otherwise. December 25 is the winter solstice pagan celebration date, and is based on superstitious fear and sun worship.
