One thing that can really hold us up in our life is not being able to forgive. She breaks down peace, holiness, bitterness, and defiled as found in Heb 12:14,15 “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;”. Metron in the Greek means ministerial assignment. It means your sphere of influence. It is where God has sent you to impact. It means space, province or spiritual territory. It is an assignment or assigned jurisdiction which comes from God and not man. Peter says in 2 Pet 1:10, “Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:” Measure and metron align together. Eph 4:7 “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.” Your metron is your measure. Whatever office to which you are called, there are boundaries on your sphere of influence, your jurisdiction. Callie begins giving a profile of self-pity and its many debilitating characteristics. Idolatry is behind any “self” spirit. Self-pity is like a super glue that glues you to your past. You can receive helpful prayer but ultimately it is up to the individual to defeat this enemy. 1 Sam 15:23 Self-pity is one of the highest forms of pride. It is not founded in unworthiness but unapplauded pride. It is an unloving, anti-christ spirit which aims to separate us from God, ourselves and others. Jean shares God’s desire in this message is to give us a token of His love, of His favor. So what is favor? Divine favor is an uncommon blessing or breakthrough that God, Himself has orchestrated and ordained for your life. This favor comes directly from the hand of God. There are set times God has already designed to shower His favor upon you. Favor, many times, seems undeserved and does not follow any natural, reasonable, or rational explanation. Those who practice witchcraft use it to manipulate the wills of others. There are three words in the Scripture to describe the occult. They are divination, sorcery and witchcraft. We carry the spiritual authority to cast these spirits out. In Acts 16, Paul simply called out the spirit of divination and it came out of the damsel. The ultimate objective of sorcery is to lure people away from worshiping God using drugs, alcohol, suggestive dancing and charms. People in positions of authority can easily move over into the control arena. When we minister the Word of God He will come back and demonstrate His power. 1 Corinthians 2:4 “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:” When the Kingdom of God is given directly, the results will manifest. For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. We are valuable. Jesus paid the price. But who are we to just thumb our nose at God and do what we want to do? We must continue to break the power of idolatry and pride. How are you feeling - lesser than everyone in the room, isolated, expecting to be rejected? These are just some of the symptoms of the unloving spirit. There’s a lot of things that can contaminate our minds. Isaiah 26:3 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.” We do not have to allow the enemy into our minds. We have to take captive the thoughts that come at us and determine where they are coming from. Ps 101:3 “I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes:” What we take in, goes in, and will manifest in some kind of way. Negative memory replay is when the enemy brings up past failures. If you’ve repented and asked God to forgive you, then turn the battle at the gate and don’t dwell on it. Mind altering drugs do just that - they alter your mind that you can’t think right. False teachings, false religions, blood line curses, and inherited mental illness contaminate. Just because they are in the blood line doesn’t mean they have to keep going. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 1 Tim 2:5 There is no mention of popes in the Scripture. Once we are born-again, we are all a kingdom of priests. Purgatory is a heresy that came into the Roman Catholic church during the reign of Pope Gregory around the end of the 6th Century. It has no Scriptural support. Jesus warned us about this pagan practice in Mt 23:14. Communion, as practiced in the Catholic church, is the belief that the host (bread) and the wine, is the literal transforming of Christ's body and blood each time it is taken. Learn to do the opposite of what the enemy wants. Trauma is an overwhelming life event that renders one helpless and/or fearing for his/her life. Physical trauma can be like a car accident, rape, or natural disaster. After the event, shock and denial are typical reactions. Longer reactions include amnesia, flashbacks, and even physical symptoms like headache and nausea. Spiritual trauma can be about the words someone spoke that hit you in the chest like a hammer. The demon called trauma can come in with a blow to your soul and/or a blow to your body. Without the healing power of Jesus you may move on but you are still attached to the event.
