Boat Trailer LED Lights Install
In a previous video, Ken went #fishing Labor Day. Due to crowds, he had to maneuver his #trailer in such a way that he hit the dock when trying to load up the #boat. This busted his back taillight. His side marker light also went out. Since it was cheaper to retrofit the boat with #LED lights, that's what Ken did.
In this video, you'll see how he does a #boattrailer #upgrade by installing #ledlights.

A Late Summer Fishing Trip
As Ken notes, this #fishing video was made in late summer and then it just kinda sat around for a while as "life" happened. The whole purpose of the #fishingtrip was for Ken to catch fish to give away to others. This is a #Southern #tradition to support your #community and it harkens back to the Native American roots many Southerners have where the community, and not the individual, matters most.
In this video, Ken was just going after "meat." There were no real expectations. He was not targeting #bass yet he saw them and cast at them. He was not targeting #bream (or "perch" as @PelicanBoneOutdoors would call them) or #redfish or #catfish either and yet he attempted to take them. This is as about as Northwest #Florida a fishing trip as you will find.
Naturally, the unusual heat of the Deep South made this trip dangerous. Elements of this trip were not filmed where Ken was alone and in medical distress. The #heatindex or #realfeel #temperature was over 110°F (45°C) that day. Even with water and food, heat exhaustion became an issue. Please! Always heed the safety warnings of weather reporting authorities. No fishing trip is worth your life.

Ken's Crab Boil:
3 qt. Water
2 tbsp. Granulated Garlic
1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1/2-1 tbsp. Concentrated Crab Boil Liquid
1-2 tbsp. Cajun Seasoning
1/2 c. Wine
5-8 Blue Crabs
Bring the first six ingredients to a boil. Add in the crabs. Cover and let boil 10-15 minutes until the crab shells are red. Turn off the heat. If making a gumbo, remove the crabs immediately to let cool and pick whilst reserving the boiling liquid for the gumbo. If not making a gumbo, let the crabs sit another 15-20 minutes to gain flavor.
Ken's Seafood Gumbo:
1 1/2 c. Crab Meat
1 lb. Shrimp, Peeled
1 lb. Cajun Pork & Crawfish Sausage (or Any Pork Sausage You Like), Sliced into Pieces
1 lb. 12 oz. bag Frozen Cut Okra
1 1/2 lb. bag Frozen Seasoning Blend
2 Bay Leaves
1/4 to 1/3 c. Oil
1/4 to 1/3 c. Self-Rising Flour
1 tbsp. Gumbo Filé
2 1/2 - 3 qt. Crab Boil Broth
Mix equal amounts of oil and flour in a pot over a low to medium heat. Stirring constantly, you'll want the roux to turn to a "chocolate" color before adding in the seasoning blend. Cook the roux and seasoning for about five to seven minutes before adding in the okra. Cook about three to five minutes before adding in the crab boil broth a little at a time to keep the roux from clumping. Add in the bay leaves. When the liquid is boiling good, add in the sausage slices, shrimp, and crab. Cook for about ten to fifteen minutes before adding in the filé powder (TIP: To keep the filé from clumping, you can mix it with about a half cup of water before adding it to the gumbo). Turn off the heat and make your rice. When rice is done, serve over the rice.
Ken's Rice:
6 c. Water
2 c. Par-Boiled Rice (aka Gold Rice or Golden Rice or Enriched Rice)
1 tbsp. Sea Salt
1/2 tbsp. Toasted Sesame Oil
Add all of the ingredients to a pot. Bring to a boil, lid, reduce the heat to medium, and let cook fifteen to twenty minutes. Turn off the heat and let the rice steam for another 15-20 minutes before fluffing and serving.

Let's Talk | YouTube Channel Updates
It's been a while since Ken has had a talk about his #youtubechannel, so he decided he would give a #channelupdate for all his viewers and subscribers.
This is quite a long video as things have been changing rather quickly over the past few months here at the Ken Johnson YouTube Channel. Ken talks about how #cancelculture and YT community standards changes impact how he operates on the platform. Ken talks about the value of #patreon and the need to find YT alternative platforms such as #rumble. For a newly starting #contentcreator, this is a very valuable reference video to understand a little more about the platform operates and the economy of things.
Naturally, a whole host of other topics will be discussed or alluded to. For example, Ken explains how he uses sponsor-given items as benchmarks of channel health. For example, an @olightworld flashlight might mean you are at one level while a @FeelfreeKayaks kayak might mean you are at a different level. Getting a #drone or #electricbike means something else.
He also explains his issues with @nchsoftware VideoPad Pro and is seeking help to input to help find a suitable replacement within his budget and skill set.
If you wish to help the channel out, please consider becoming a "patron" over at Patreon. The channel's Patreon page is:

Right now, the Rumble Channel syncing with the Ken Johnson YouTube Channel is taking longer than expected. Rumble is telling Ken they can take weeks to sync a video up with YouTube. So, as of this video's posting, there are no videos that have fully transferred over to Rumble. However, if you wish to check out Ken's Rumble channel, please visit:
