While they aren’t shown his incredible cover-up of the Holodomor or his other Soviet apologisms, they are presented with his most famous work: The Jungle. This work tells the tale of Sinclair’s investigation into the wretched working conditions of the meat-packers of its age. Between lost limbs and failed inspections, Sinclair writes about the meat being contaminated and barbarously prepared. This tale is meant to show the supposed failures of laissez-faire capitalism, with its disregard for workers and health. Readers are supposed to walk away with a firm belief in the need for the regulation of these firms. Hurrah! Here comes the mighty state to provide safety to the masses that would otherwise be made sick by crony corporations. That’s far from the truth. Murray Rothbard himself documents in The Progressive Era the truth of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulation. Rothbard observed that nearly every inspection passed in any form of legislature or bureaucracy was fueled by protectionism from existing firms. These regulations were not there to provide “safety” to consumers but rather to keep competition out of the marketplace by fiat. Rothbard states that the only meaningful definition of monopoly is an exclusive legal right granted by the state. Perhaps then, the only meaningful definition of so-called monopoly powers is a firm’s ability to push regulation that harms their competition through the state. In a recent discussionwith Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, OpenAI President Greg Brockman expressed his belief that 2029 will see the emergence of artificial general intelligence (AGI) — AI that reaches and then far surpasses human-level intelligence. He further stated that in 2030, humanity and artificial intelligence will merge. Brockman — whose company OpenAI is widely understood to be the most advanced AI project in the world — made these comments during a panel discussion that included Netanyahu, Elon Musk and MIT physicist Max Tegmark. As they gathered to discuss the future of AI, much of the conversation orbited around two possible futures: A future extinction of mankind, and a future “heaven” in which AGI eliminates poverty, hunger, and sickness and mankind merges with machines. Brockman acknowledged the major risks in creating AGI but told the rest of the panel that it is this “heaven” that his company is working to bring about. “I think this whole arc, in my mind, is all about paradigm shift, right?” Brockman said. “And I think that, even the question of what would that heaven, post-AGI, positive future look like? Youngkin Signs Bill Banning Unequal Restrictions on Virginia Places of Worship During State Emergencies Virginia Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin signed legislation on Sunday that prohibits government officials from imposing discriminatory restrictions on places of worship during state emergencies. HB 2171stipulates that “No rule, regulation, or order issued by the Governor or other governmental entity pursuant to this chapter shall impose restrictions on the operation of a place of worship that are more restrictive than the restrictions imposed on any other business, organization, or activity.” The measure previously passed the Republican-controlled House of Delegates (53-43) and Democrat-controlled Senate (35-5) last month. Following the March 2020 Covid outbreak, then-Democrat Gov. Kentucky Overrides Governor's Veto of Transgender Care Restrictions The Kentucky legislature on Wednesday overrode a veto from Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear, forcing through a bill restricting access to gender-related treatments and limiting use of bathrooms in schools. The bill comes in the immediate aftermath of a mass shooting in Nashville, Tenn., in which a transgender individual killed three students and three faculty members at a Christian school. The Senate voted 29-8 in favor of overriding the veto while the House did so by a 76-23 margin, the Associated Pressreported. Josselyn Berry, press secretary for Democratic Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs, has resigned after posting an inflammatory tweet suggesting “transphobes” should be gunned down in the wake of a woman who identified as transgender killing six people at a Christian school in Nashville. Another train has derailed in Ohio, this time in Clark County. Hazmat crews are reportedly on the scene. According to Fox News: A non-passenger train derailed in Clark County, Ohio on Saturday evening, Fox News Digital has confirmed. According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, emergency personnel and hazmat crews responded to the train derailment on State Route 41 and Gateway Boulevard near the Clark County Fairgrounds at approximately 5 p.m. on Saturday. It is not known at this time if anything was on the train at the time of the derailment. Senator Bernie Sanders is a self-proclaimed "Demonic Socialist"... or "Democratic Socialist," as he prefers to say. On Friday's premium episode of The JD Rucker Political Report on Red Voice Media, I went over the ten things Americans can do right now to try to save the nation and save themselves. The two goals go hand-in-hand; we cannot save ourselves if the nation completely falls apart and we cannot save the nation if we're imprisoned or dead. The two-hour show is relatively comprehensive on most of the ten actions we can take, so instead of making everyone listen to the whole thing to get to the most important one (though you should definitely listen to the whole thing if you have the time), I'll cut to the chase and offer the most important thing any of us can do. Strengthening our faith in God is the big one. Those who are not Bible-believing Christians should consider the teachings of the New Testament to go along with the Old Testament as our ultimate guide for life. But even those who believe Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior should strive to become stronger in our faith before the "crap hits the fan" because very few of us have ever had our faith tested the way it's going be challenged in the near future. Would you and everyone in your family willingly die if asked to renounce Christ to save your life? Would you let your family members suffer if the only alternative was to abandon your faith? Would your family members let you suffer if given the same option? In 2015, around 20 Egyptian Christians were marched to the beach by ISIS. They were given the option of renouncing Christ or getting beheaded on video. These brave men refused to defy their beliefs. They didn't save their own lives while thinking, "I'll lie about it now and God will know in my heart that it's not true when I say I renounce the Messiah." If things do go very much south in the near future, then it seems very likely the powers-that-be will lay down as many speedbumps and roadblocks as possible to keep the faithful from practicing what they believe. Even if the crap doesn't hit the fan, we're already seeing constant attacks against religious liberties in America that often force people to make difficult decisions. This is only going to get worse even if we're not facing the end... though it certainly seems to many of us that we ARE facing it. My skillset does not currently include strong prosthelytizing. I hope to get better. I know it's often seen in a negative light in America, but I believe it is a crucial component of our preparations for the end times if we are indeed facing very difficult days ahead. But this video isn't as much about prosthelytizing as it is about alerting everything, faithful or not, that our unwoke belief systems will be put to the harshest tests possible in the near future. We must steel ourselves now and get ready for persecution. It's coming one way or another. As society deteriorates, it's conceivable that many of us will be left with nothing but our faith. Over the years, I’ve learned to never attribute to politics what can be better explained by culture. For example, many try to blame Democrat policies for the rise of LGBTQIA+ indoctrination in “family-friendly” drag shows or in our own schools, but it’s really the deterioration of cultural sanity and an abandonment of Biblical principles that are the actual culprits. With that said, the rampant “child sex trafficking” problem in America can be attributed to a combination of lagging faith, failing culture, and the criminal-empowering policies of leftists, mostly Democrats. Even the phrase “child sex trafficking” is a failure because it downplays the depravity of the crimes themselves. “Trafficking” can be applied to drugs or illegal merchandise. It implies criminal activity of movement, taking the focus away from the actual heinous crime of raping and torturing children, destroying their lives from the start and greatly reducing the chance that they can live happily and fulfilled. We have major problems with Cultural Marxism continuing to rise in America. We definitely have tremendous problems with a population that does not spend nearly enough time on our knees in prayer or reading our Bibles. Both are massive factors in the advancement of raping and torturing of children, but political leftism and radical policies can rightly be attributed as playing big roles as well. These policies have reduced the jail time spent by those who get caught, rendering our judiciary impotent to render appropriate judgment on child rapists. These policies have made it “hate speech” to call out those who promote child rape as long as they do so with careful wording. Perhaps worst of all is that the cultural degradation and reduction of faith can both be, in part, blamed on Democrats and their milquetoast Republican cronies for pushing the worship of gods like climate change and wokeness to the detriment of Judeo-Christian values. In America today, diversity trumps reality. Equity trumps sanity. Inclusivity trumps quality. In other words, lies trump the truth. This is why child rapists are getting months in jail while someone who entered the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021, may spend years behind bars. This is also why the FBI pulled agents from the field who were hunting child predators so they could track grandmas who spoke out at school board meetings. Our government has prioritized leftist talking points over fighting the good fight against evil. It’s no wonder boys pretending to be girls are raping fellow students in school bathrooms. Rumors have been spreading about the possibility of a bank "bail-in" maneuver being utilized since mid-2021. Here's a fun fact for those who may think our future will have every driving American having an electric vehicle: It's impossible. There is not enough lithium being produced in the world today to replace every gas-fueled vehicle with an electric engine. In fact, projections show that by 2050 we will need to produce three times more lithium than is possible WORLDWIDE just to keep vehicles running. One might think this would put a wrench in the climate change agenda, that the powers-that-be and their minions like Joe Biden and Gavin Newsom would have to rethink their machinations. Nope. For the rest of us, they expect us to move to 15-minute cities, use public transportation, or rely on electric bicycles. And they're already in the process of planting the seeds so they can normalize this draconian mindset. According to Scientific American [emphasis added]: The transition to electric vehicles could lead to lithium shortages unless the United States and other countries overhaul their transportation systems and move away from private cars as the primary means of travel. Simply converting the existing U.S. car fleet to battery-powered electric vehicles, for example, would require three times more lithium by 2050 than the world currently produces, according to new research from the University of California, Davis, and the Climate and Community Project. A spike in lithium demand could cause other problems too, such as greater environmental damage and worsening international tension over supplies of the metal, which is primarily mined outside the United States. The report argues that broader changes in the transportation system, combined with intensive recycling of lithium batteries, could drastically cut into lithium demand. Some suggestions include greater use of mass transit, denser urban development and micromobility solutions such as electric bikes and scooters. Greater use of mass transit is clearly a goal of the powers-that-be who can more easily control our movements by stuffing us in trains and buses like sardines. "Denser urban development" has always been a goal of theirs. They want us in overcrowded cities so they can keep tabs on the masses. Moreover, they want these to be "15-minute cities" so the people can walk everywhere and not notice how immobile they really are. As for electric bikes and scooters, the implication is obvious. While they prance around in their super-expensive electric vehicles free from the elements and safe from the public, the rest of us are supposed to zip around like 5th graders on crowded streets in the rain, heat, or snow. The push for electric vehicles is completely untenable if we assume their intention is for everyone to drive them. If we adjust our thinking to match reality, we'll realize they don't want us driving at all.

The United States is aware “as a matter of intelligence” that Chinese leader Xi Jinping has ordered his military to be prepared to invade Taiwan by 2027, CIA Director William Burns said on Thursday. Burns said that Xi’s order to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) military may not represent his timeline for the CCP’s invasion of Taiwan, but it demonstrates his “seriousness” in pursuing this goal. “Our assessment at CIA is that I wouldn’t underestimate President Xi’s ambitions with regard to Taiwan,” Burns said at an event at Georgetown University in Washington.
