The perpators were described to be two foreign national men of middle eastern descent. Two Irish men intervened in the kidnapping and managed to prevent it. This happened in Dublin city Centre, Ireland along Memorial Road. The community was not notified of this happening. The people or Mullingar, Westmeath, Ireland orchestrated strong protests in response to the establishment of a migrant camp, and so far their calls for it's closure have been ignored.

The reports from locals is that a foreign national man attempted to abduct a woman, going so far as to get her into his car, and she broke free and ran to locals for help, who in turn ended up torching the would-be kidnapper's van.
