WA State DOH Vaccine Advisory Committee Meeting July 13, 2023 There's much worthy of concern and discussion in this meeting, but after the halfway point of the 2-hour meeting, edited here for easier reference, they discussed the CDC's intention to promote giving three vaccines at the same time--flu, COVID, and RSV. The last commenter in the discussion, Dr. Edgar Marcuse, a former ACIP member, voices his concern, saying finally, "I don't understand the relative risk of side effects among the 3 vaccines. And I think it caution[sic], I'm very reluctant to see a vaccine enthusiast recommendation for all 3 vaccines in a short period of time without data to back that up." The last time a prominent physician cautioned against giving three vaccines (measles-mumps-rubella) simultaneously, the drug industry retaliated (thus the saga of Dr. Andrew Wakefield). The industry cannot continue to expand if warranted caution is ever advised or heeded about giving several vaccines at the same time. Dr. Marcuse is retired and living in a longterm care facility and he states he is in the community being targeted with all three vaccines. ICWA and March for Freedom collaborated on an opening-day Olympia Rally to let the legislature know to protect informed consent and stop overreach in health policies. So many people continue to be harmed. Most visibly hurt are employees who still struggle to find work as Nurse Alicia explained at the Capitol. It was a good, rainy day to show the seriousness of our convictions. 5 Legislators joined us on the North steps of the Capitol.
