Try having a "foundation" to your routine. This is an exercise set that only takes a few minutes and keeps your progress going. It can be done in 5 minutes sometimes.

Don't feel like working out?
Here's what I do on "slow days" where I don't feel like doing a workout.
My rule of thumb: Do at least 5-10 minutes of the workout UNLESS I'm so exhausted I think it'll make me sick or injured.
However, a more important question I think we should start asking ourselves is WHY we have these "slow days."
If you routinely have long periods where you feel tired, you may want to look into some causes.
How is your diet? Is it balanced? Are there things you can change to get your required nutrients?
Are you getting enough sleep? 7-8 hours at least for the vast majority of people. If you are, how is your sleep quality?
While some may point to mental health issues - and they're certainly a valid cause - our lifestyle may be a contributing cause to that as well.
Everyone should look into optimizing their lifestyle a bit. There's no downside to it.
Sometimes everything is fine, but our work is boring. If you've been stuck on the same routine for a while, try changing it up! What have you wanted to learn? Anything from backflips to tennis can be explored.

Build full body mobility (without stretching?)
Progressive calisthenics already has mobility benefits built-in!
Here are some tips to take the best advantage of it.
Working through a deep range of motion through our fundamental exercises (pushups, pullups, squats, leg raises, bridges, etc), will build functional mobility and flexibility throughout our body!
If you don't do calisthenics or dislike range of motion, then simply follow up your exercises with a lighter load and deep ROM!
As a result, anyone can scale the exercises to their level!
Feel free to add in different stretches as you like! Yoga poses, Jefferson curls, and more are great options! Thankfully, there are multiple ways to approach it.

Start pullups from the top! (Easy trick for extra strength)
Starting our pullups from the top can increase our strength and mobility!
Exploring the upper and lower end of the pullup range of motion can have functional and therapeutic benefits.
This is something I've been exploring recently myself. While I've been doing pullups for years (like many of you), I discovered that some parts of my ROM are not as strong as I like.
In addition, there's some debate on how the pullup should look as we're coming up.
Shoulders back and "proud chest" at the top engages our back more. It's relatively difficult to completely touch chest-to-bar for long in this position, so great work if you can!
However, while some people frown on neutral shoulders at the top, I'm hesitant to dismiss it because it gives my arms some extra work that I enjoy.
Additionally, "Full ROM" for pullups is somewhat debatable. Some people consider a muscle up the full range of motion.
For me, right before the tension starts to move away from our biceps and onto our triceps at the top is what I consider the "top" of a pullup.
Just some thoughts!

How to keep fitness exciting (break plateaus!)
Every kind of training experiences DIMINISHING returns.
As in, we often skyrocket our process at first, but then it slows down. Sometimes to a trickle.
How do keep our fitness EXCITING, continually make new progress, and consistently hit new records?
We try new stuff.
It doesn't have to be a lot. Just changing up some sets and reps. Experimenting with a new grip position. Adding some plyometric work.
Not only do we feel the "zing" of new progress, but we'll also get stronger in those positions, leading to more crossover into our day-to-day fitness!
They also crossover into our other exercises.
For example, working on deadlifts can improve front levers.
And you can always go back to your old routine if you like it.
With our new strength and skill, you may find that your progress has new life!

Do More Pushups Instantly (Simple Hack)
Try this easy "hack" to instantly do more pushups!
This is very similar to the one I did on pullups, but at a different angles and engaging different muscles.
Here's the description from the pullup one:
A brief, intense isometric warmup like this puts a HIGH amount of force through our body and primes it for heavy loads.
This makes our regular set seem easy.
This was taught to me as the "immediate after-effect" of isometrics, but I can't find anywhere that corroborates that.
Call it the "oogabooga effect" if you want. It does seem to really help.
The time numbers are not set in stone. I suspect they depend on the individual's conditioning. Try shorter holds and different rest times if you like and let me know how it works for you!

Stuck on an exercise? Try this to break plateaus!
If you're struggling to hit a new PR, try this method to speed up the process!
I made this video longer to give more information. I still don't know if I explained it well enough.
For example:
If you're close to a 405 deadlift 1RM, then put 415 on the bar.
Start all deadlift set days by trying to budge 415 off the ground.
When it starts to lift and you can hold it off the ground for a few seconds, THEN try 405 again.
Feel free to play around with the numbers, timing, etc.
Isometrics is a powerful tool. This is one of the many applications.
You DON'T have to choose only isometrics or dynamics. I recommend doing both!

Try "bicep chinups"!
Here are some chinup variations that can help you emphasize your biceps!
Fun fact: I don't like the word "chinup." I don't know why. Maybe it's because it implies to me that the chin barely clears the bar. I'd much rather say "pullup with underhand grip" because we're literally pulling ourselves up.
Sadly, unless I become president of the universe, I think I'll just have to roll with the term.

Make your movements stronger!
Mastering easier variations makes us stronger, not weaker!
Especially in calisthenics, some of us have a tendency to pick the hardest possible exercise we can barely do and only work that.
(Guys, I'm looking at you).
(Also looking at myself. Been there 😅).
While this may strengthen those muscles very quickly, we may be missing out on mastering the basic movement pattern of the exercise! This is the foundation upon which we should build our house.
Think of world-class sprinters. Sure, their muscles are explosively strong. But this firepower wouldn't be nearly as useful if they didn't master their TECHNIQUE first.
When we think technique, we want to think optimization!

I think it's easy for us to rationalize checking our phones immediately. Most of us are "offline" when we sleep anyway, so the urgency we feel may not be entirely accurate.

Instantly Do More Pullups (Simple Hack)
Try this easy "hack" to instantly do more pullups!
A brief, intense isometric warmup like this puts a HIGH amount of force through our body and primes it for heavy loads.
This makes our regular set seem easy.
This was taught to me as the "immediate after-effect" of isometrics, but I can't find anywhere that corroborates that.
Call it the "oogabooga effect" if you want. It does seem to really help.
The time numbers are not set in stone. I suspect they depend on the individual's conditioning. Try shorter holds and different rest times if you like and let me know how it works for you!

The most famous ones are things like the human flag, handstand, etc.
However, in this video, I choose to show isometric variations of bodyweight exercises usually done dynamically.
There is a lower skill learning curve required for these, so more people can benefit.
