Brave Books: Charting a Course for Freedom and Truth for the Next Generation with Dr. Trent Talbot
How do we as Christian conservatives raise up a generation of children that is not afraid to stand up for truth? When Dr. Trent Talbot's first daughter Charlotte was born and he discovered all of the harmful content that is aimed at our children, Dr. Talbot stepped back from his ophthalmology practice to get off the bench. Trent joins me today to talk about how we can go on the offense and protect the hearts and minds of the next generation.

No Such Thing as "Holy" Yoga—But Can We Still Do the Poses?
Of all the podcasts I have recorded, NONE has received as much feedback as this topic. It's alarming that most Christians who religiously practice yoga will defend their practice with more fervency and passion than their relationship with Jesus Christ. Christians! Is it any wonder that we are struggling so much when we refuse to rid ourselves of the very things that God warns us against? Listen in as I discuss this topic and more at today's podcast.

The Outsourcing of Parenting
For generations in the United States and in most western cultures, we have outsourced 90% of the training of our children. We send our kids to Sunday School so they can be trained in the Bible, we send them to public or Christian schools for their academic training, and we get them at breakfast and dinner to begin and end the day. No wonder we’re losing our kids. Today I’ll be talking about why this has to change.

The last three years have been difficult — to say the least. Loss of jobs, friendships, trust—anger, loss of freedom. The list goes on and on. I'm answering a question from a wife and mother who has legitimate reasons to be angry at how her husband was treated for refusing the thing-which-shall-not-be-named, and offering hope as we all try to move forward and resist becoming bitter.

Spiritual Abuse, Govt Overreach and Mandates
Over the last three years, the Biden administration quietly courted well-known members of the Christian community. This resulted in what can only be described as spiritual abuse, as we were told to "wear a mask" and "get a shot" if we truly loved Christ. How did this happen? And how can we guard against it for the future? Join me today as we look at the connection between the government and "Big Eva."

Latest Presidential Polls and Is There Trouble Ahead for the GOP?
As the Republican landscape shapes up for 2024, I feel a warning must be issued: the in-fighting, the bullying, the lack of a cohesive vision for the future… is all very troubling. The Republican party lacks true statesmen leaders—and as a result, we have descended into partisan tribalism. Unity is not found in canceling fellow Conservatives or in political elitism on either side of the aisle. Either we address this now, and bring back statesmanship and true civic engagement, or we risk continuing to lose ground in 2024.

Political Witch Hunts and the Power of Our Words
It seems like we have entered some sort of a weird dystopian time in the United States where what we used to believe about our country is in question. I watched on the news yesterday as Rudy Giuliani turned himself in the political prosecution of Donald Trump. Guliani is 79 years old—and he was indicted last week along with Trump and 17 other individuals. This is a political witch hunt. It tells us a lot about the state of our union... and yet in the midst of all this, God's word remains the same. Today we'll be looking at the headlines and how our words can bring hurt... or healing.

A {Beautiful} Mess: The Solution to Favoritism in Families
Families are messy, aren’t they? One of the reasons I love the bible so much is that we get to see the messy side of all the characters …. Including bad parenting. God included these accounts so that we can learn lessons from these real people—lessons about the use of trickery, favoritism in families, deciding to run ahead of God, misunderstanding what God is doing, parental manipulation and more. We can take so many good things away from the parenting mistakes that were made by Abraham, Isaac and Jacob! God redeems our messes when we offer them to Him.

People are Not Inherently Good
RFK flip flops on abortion, criminal mobs swarm an LA mall, Biden has “no comment” on the devastating fires in Maui, and a listener wonders if she should participate in a Beth Moore Bible study. While the culture believes people are “generally good”, the apostle Paul reminds us not to get tired of doing good. If you need to see the culture through a lens of hope, stick around, I think you're gonna be encouraged!

Where There is No Authority, There is Anarchy
God’s design of male and female is a beautiful one. We were created in the image of God to function differently — but we are of equal worth in the eyes of our Creator. God has given us a clear chain of command in Scripture, starting with God the Father. When we do not honor God’s clear chain of authority, anarchy results. Today, we’re looking at creation and how God has given us different roles from the beginning. We are called to humility as men and women under authority, submitted to our head, which is Christ. Join me and my guest, Pastor Phil Hopper for this thoughtful and biblical discussion!
