Offgrid Homesteading In Hawaii

Green sea turtles, known as "honu", come up to rest in the black sand at Punalu'u Beach Park, on the island of Hawaii. It was a lovely evening at the beach. ❤

Iki & Poky Pup are being cute, playing with a toy while I try to watch Lord of the Rings. Don't worry. The living room got cleaned up. 😅

Found an old (original) music video in my archives. I was composing a song on my keyboard as my cats listened and looked out the window. I really miss my old keyboard! Took a walk and went for a lovely winter swim at beautiful Beach 69 near Kona, in Hawaii.

Stopped in to check out the lava glow on the Volcano after the recent Kilauea eruption in Hawaii. Parked by the steam vents and walked a shirt way to the crater rim.

Stopped in at the Punalu'u Bakery for yummy malasadas and this adorable baby gecko wanted to lick the sugar off of Sherry's fingers. 😄 #cute

Poky Pup is just doing what she does: being stinkin' cute! 😄

Poky hops through the grass like a maniac until she has a collision with a dump truck! Slow down, Poky! You have no insurance! 😄

Iki is trying to teach Poky Pup to hunt mice, but Poky has important play stuffs to do! It's hard to navigate the tall grass with those tiny legs, though. 😆

I'm raising a bed of red wigglers for the ultimate soil - worm castings! Yay! 😂 It's a perfect medium and amazing for seed germination.

Just sitting on my bed, looking out at the mucky weather. Won't be getting any yard work done, today. 😋

These orphaned piglets are so cute. Even though they grow up to be homestead terrors, I didn't have the heart to chase them off.

Hyperlapse is fun to play with. Need to try this with the tripod, next time! 😃

Pigs are menacing destroyers on the homestead, but these orphaned babies are so cute. I startled this nest of them by the driveway when I came home.

Burning a brush pile in the rain after slashing invasive waiwi (yellow cherry guava) to expand the homestead. It's slow and arduous, but exciting too! 😁

Destructive banana skipper moths are are attacking the banana patch. Time for war.
